  • Due to the need to rapidly begin centrifugation following blood draw, phlebotomy becomes an essential component for the production of PRF. Because no anticoagulants are utilized, centrifugation typically must be carried out within 60 to 90 seconds, as reviewed in chapter 2. Therefore, office staff must be well equipped and prepared to perform the act of phlebotomy. This video highlights the essential components of phlebotomy and further provides standard tools and tips to collect blood samples. A 10-step protocol is provided with images and a video outlining the procedure.

    Are the red tubes only meant for clotting for dentists? Or can they be used for injecting PRF for Aesthetic purposes?

      Yes the red tubes are just for clotting! Not just for dentists though as plastic surgeons use them also during surgery as do internal med doctors!

    Since you are drawing into both white and red tubes (which have different protocols for spinning), are you using two different centrifuges - white into one and red into the other?
