Start At 0, Rotate Dial Clockwise Back To 0 3 Times (This Allows All The Discs Inside To Be Picked Up)
Pull On The Shackle / Add Tension To The Shackle
Rotate Clockwise SLOWLY Until You Feel A Lot of Resistance.
Release Shackle Tension
Rotate Counter Clockwise Past 0, Back To Your Number,
Apply Tension To The Shackle Again.
Rotate Counter Clockwise Until The Shackle "Clicks" or Lifts Up A Small Bit.
Keep Holding Shackle Tension And Rotate Clockwise Until The Combination Lock Is Opened.

My daughter forgot her combination over summer break a few years ago. They started checking school records online for the combination. I had it open like this (and told her the combination!) in less than 3 minutes.

I tried doing this on my son’s combo lock. On the first move the shackle slips a bit and jams on 35. But the actual correct first number is 15.

At least one of the wheels inside has multiple false gates to make this type of attack more difficult. You might be snagging a false gate.

I’m terrible at lockpicking, but these are easy. I played with them so much as a kid I learned how to do these decently quick.
When I was a kid I caught a guy stealing my bike and ask him how you picked the lock. He showed me how by using the same method that was back in 1967

Honestly if i was back in school id probably snatch everyones locks doing this and then eventually when i had accumulated nearly all of em i wouldve locked em all together into a knotted chain of locks and put my art on display lol.
We had this issue too. If you smacked one of these cheap locks with a shoe it would pop right open. No ones locker was safe even after a bunch of theft. The gym teachera just locked the locker room after everyone changed out so no one could sneak in and steal.

I used to work at a fitness center in the sales department.. lockers were literally broken into every other day..
lol even key locks arn't now since people can pick them. my suggestion would be to keep your wallet and phone on you at all times and leave the change of cloths in the locker room.

I figured this out in 7th grade, when I got my first locker. They told everyone at the beginning of the year that if they forgot their combos, they would have to go the whole year without a locker. What they didn't tell us was how ancient the locks were, and they only sporadically worked. So most of us learned how to fight with it until it opened. I was 12, so it really shocked me at how easy it was to open someone else's lock for them without knowing the combo.
You just made a lot of happy Drill Sergeants and a lot of really pissed off trainees.

Every lock is fairly easy to pick, I can’t think of one that isn’t
I remember back in high school so 1998, they had the combo style lock where their center had just a nob you turned and these type where the whole face turned. If you just pulled down on these locks and turned the face counter-clockwise, the face would just unscrew itself and the lock would come apart.
as a 10yo i once cracked a small executive safe using this method, just turning the dial as if i knew the numbers, when mom called me it already opened, didnt bother to look inside anymore, but right there i knew, i could do it again someday.
Ive been doing that one for years now. Also been opening masterlock locks with other masterlock keys too. Fun stuff for me.

As a kid, I'd always forget what the combination was and this was my dad's and I'd figure it out every time
I always forgot my comb as well so I wrote it on the back of the lock

Back in highschool we use to take peoples locks off their locker and then put them back on backwards lol. Then they would have to get down on the knees at a funny angle to see the front of the lock to unlock it 😂

combination locks are easy to get past as long as you know what you doing and what you are looking for as well as the model.

Can confirm this also works for older spinning dial code locks. Spin the dials from left to right while pulling them away from each other and when you have the right number the lock should pop a tiny bit because one tooth on the key has fallen through the plate but the rest have not yet so it will open by the smallest amount. Also as each number drops into place under tension it should be very had to keep spinning it move on to the next number and repeat note: you only need to keep tension as you find the number, you want to put pressure on the unknown numbers sometimes putting pressure on a disk plate will make the previous plate really loose and spin easily, as long you you are confident you already have it won't matter. Also look into an open lock and spin to get more understanding.
I put half the lock in and spun it closed and this is how I figured all this out at school, before having internet on your phone was normal

When i was in highschool one of my buddies came to school with a cigarette pack full of joints. He was trying to sell some on the bus and i guess someone ratted on him. We were in a construction class so we had our own locker room. The principal came and pulled him out of class and our teacher went with him. I told my other buddy what was happening so we went and lil homie to a brick hammer and tried to break the lock for a good 5 mins while i was the lookout. Dude with the joints ended up getting expelled bcuz we couldnt break the lock

Jeez, about 33 years ago I freaked out a whole squad bay when I helped a buddy (with his permission and supervision) who had forgotten his combination. Luckily, I had a stellar reputation (at the time) so the freak out was of short duration.
