    I hate when a mechanic says: it needs a new engine. You dont need a new engine. Im not a mechanic and i did the job myself. The problem that engine has is a broken valve. I will explain what happened to the engine to.... When that spark plug broke it was glowing so hot so it melted a hole in the valve. So just replace the valve and its good to go.

      @@camhitemup4121 not valve Cover. Every cylinder has 4 valves and 1of them has a problem. They are dirt cheap. Its not hard to fix. Just take your time and follow a youtube video to put it all bak in correct order. I can open up the engine and assembly it in 2 days. Its much easier then people think.

    question so my 2009 audi a4 2.0t also has a rough idle and all the coil packs had oil all over them but when i pulled the spark plugs the part that sparks looked good no oil all looked old but normal what’s your opinion you think it’s just the valve cover gasket as well?

    I have a question since you know about Audi 2.0. I’m working on one right now. And I cleaned the carbon buildup. I also put new injectors. All new coils all new plugs. My cylinders look clean. After 40 mph I’m having random misfires still. Could you maybe give me a little advice what you think I should do next? The car runs great until after 40 mph. It starts misfiring check engine blinks EPC light comes on.

    • @ghostofsoufeasthoustone
      @ghostofsoufeasthoustone Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@bluesscreensdreams8725 Ya what it turned out to be, is the timing spool was turned all the way out. The timing chain was stretched. I had to take the front clip off, but after I did that very easy access to the timing chain, and tensioner & guides. I have never worked on an Audi before. So I use this whole Audi as a learning experience. I do not like the 2.0 engine I know that now. But after all of that it runs like new! I saved a ton of money, doing the timing chain and injectors myself. I had carbon buildup and a bad injector I figured. But I wonder if I would’ve just did the timing chain in the first place if it would’ve corrected everything. Who knows everything is brand new now. There’s a little hole on the bottom of the tiny chain cover. You can pop it off. Get you a mirror and you’ll see a little spool and you can count the turns of the spool. If you see six or seven, turns. Your timing chain is stretched. What is happening when you hit third or fourth gear. Your car has jumped timing, so it starts random misfiring. Hopefully this helps y’all!
