Gotta love it when at the end of the job the engine bay was cleaner than the rest if the car. I wish more shops and mechanics would care this much about the quality and condition of their work.

@edgemotors Did cleaning the intake and changing injectors do the trick?

So it was the fuel injectors? Did the oil have fuel in it? Because I have very mild, very subtle misfires once in like every week, can’t remember the code I had/have, will check tmw. Anyhoo, my oil smells like gas, I wanna change the HPFP, do you suggest I change the cam follower too, fuel injectors, spark plugs, & coil packs? I don’t think the HPFP has ever been changed, even housing appers rusty and the high pressure fuel line nut looks like it has never been tempered with (no wrench scratches).

Coil connector bad connection can have same symptoms. And my aftermarket metal water pump lasted less than 3,000 miles. Oem best.

Have you ever had one of these with a bad misfire when cold then it gets better when warm and sounds like this one did

My wife has a 2015 Q5 with 75K miles and all of a sudden, she has multiple misfires. I changed the plugs and coils and because it is multiple believe it might be bad gas. I had her put higher octane gas and it is still misfiring. It may be clogged injectors. Is it possible to try to run higher octane gas and run a fuel injector cleaner through like Max Clean or something similar? I had someone tell me to add fuel injector cleaner and get on the highway and blow it out. Is this recommended by you before replacing the injectors? U was surprised you didn't replace all the injectors while you had the manifold off. I am in Dallas do you know of an honest mechanic you can recommend here. What should a fuel injector repair cost at an independent shop? Thank you so much you did a wonderful job.

Car runs good when cold and terrible when hot. Replaced all the pcv valve and hoses. Still have no vacuum.

I did the fuel injector swap out and clean the carbon buildup. I’m still having random misfires. All brand new coils all brand new plugs. Could this be a timing chain? Thank you for your help in advance.

can u do one video checking fuel pressure mine

  • @isaiasmarzuca8264

How much was it to fix this & what was the fix please . My Audi A5 2012 cylinder 1-3 are misfiring. Spark plugs & all 4 fuel injectors replaced & still shows Epc light on dash & rumbles when on.

  • @ghostofsoufeasthoustone

I did the same exact process. The only difference is my third cylinder a little bit of the purple power went into the cylinder wall. I took the spark plug out. Use the very small vacuum tube and got the excess out. Do you think there’s anything else I should do before putting the car back together?

nice video, I have a 2012 Audi A4 2.0 , I do not have any codes but the motor spins but will not crank. changed the coils, spark plugs, used starter fluid, checked fuel pressure, where would a good place to start be

  • @ghost16202

The videos are good. Thank you. I have a question when I do the compression check. I’ve been told that I need to disconnect the fuel pump the power to the fuel pump. I did not see you do that. Do you know if I can do the compression check without unplugging the fuel pump?

  • @jazzforJamie

Hi EdgeMotors. I have a problem with a Q5 2.0 TFSI 2015 (60,000 km only)... It hapens only in low revolutions. Is a misfire that produces the car to shake, but only in a light or a Stop. Never accelerating. If you speed up the misfire disappear... I found your videos and excellent explanations... but i notice that the difference is than mi car is newer. I already change the sparkplugs, the coils, pcv valve.... but i stop and try to found if someone have the same problems. What you recomend my to try?
