I've been doing this for the past 7 or 8 years. My consistency ebbs and flows but I can complete it every time. It has been a source of dopamine-induced comfort for me and it's gotten me through some of the darkest moments of my life. The mind-body connection is real!

No, planks are easy. It’s the isometric hold at the bottom of the push-up, which is the weakest position of the movement, that fatigues the muscle and makes this difficult.
I was able to count about 30 Push-ups and 4 (long) holds-every Push-up having a small and short hold (of about four seconds) in between. So it seems pretty difficult for a beginner, especially with the four lower-Position-holds, AND the four seconds of holding in between of every Push-up rep.

I’ve been doin this and on my 8th attempt I got to 23 and that was cheating with knees, starting on 18. This one of the best 30 day, every 2 to 4 day routines I have ever experienced. Using knees to extend effort is helpful.
I do this every second or third training session, but with normal planks. Took me over 7 month to get through this confidently. Really great for core-strength 👍🏻
everybody is talking about the guy with a red shirt and dreads along with the guy on his knuckles but why is nobody talking about bottom left? idk if i'm seeing things wrong but he always seemed to go down sooner than everyone else, at least most of the time. he gave himself a shorter time to rest and he made it to the end just as well as the guy in the red shirt did. his form didn't even get that bad, at least compared to a lot of the other people.
Actually by going down sooner he rested more than the others. Also he seems to be putting is weight on the floor while down hence decreasing the amount of weight he has to sustain, hence resting more again.
The guy is red is going quite well. The dude on his knuckles gets props though, because thats hard mode. Love this. Props to everyone for giving it their all.

Ain't gonna lie, did this as a test. On Day 1, I dropped just as the first person did. Not bad, but unimpressive. So, I practiced my form, including removing all energy leaks (tight butt, tight abs, shoulder pack, web of hands facing forward, spine aligned). Days 2-6 were the same, seeing me last the same amount of time as the first person to drop. On Day 7, it was a tie with Drop #3. Same for Days 8, 9, and 10. On Day 11, something weird happened and I was able to reach 1:37, but decided to just hold the floor position for as long as I could. This was about 15 seconds longer. So, the gains were slower, but one by one, after six weeks of doing Bring Sally Ups each day (I just started my day with this video), I was with the last three guys. The guy in the red shirt is an absolute beast and at 52, he may be beyond my reach, but here in Week 7, lower right guy is just about to get passed up! :) Will take some serious work to catch red shirt guy, though. We'll see. All in all, this was a fun motivator. Thanks Costco! :)

This video brings me back to when i was in a troop training in Highschool and we were told to do the push up form for literal 5 minutes plus, only to hear our commander telling his life story, and after that we were told to do 40 push ups. Thats when i found the key, dont take it as a punishment and rather as a challenge for yourself, i was 75kgs doing 40 push ups after a 5 minutes plank with a smile on my face, joking with my friend, which makes the commander even angrier and made me do 10 chest-knuckle push ups alone. I lost 8kgs in 3 weeks
I started doing it with them and it felt amazing tho my hands and arms are BURNING 🔥🔥, the vibe, the cheer, the competitors who stayed strong, all made me dedicated, keen, sharp, and perseverance has increased rapidly, I was thinking of giving up half way, but I felt amazing, so I continued till the end...if you ever gave up in this challenge, try it the next day if you can! I always struggled with it, but now I’m at the top. It’s my game now, and I make the rules !! AND I SAY WE RULE! 😤😤😤
I’ve done this challenge a couple of times in Bodycombat, but we only did the song for 2 minutes and 8 seconds. That is still extremely intense, and I can tell you that I thought my arms were gonna break at the end of the song. Still at the end of it I kept on going, and it was just me and the instructor that had the willpower to push til the end. It had such a reputation that we even had a nickname for them. We called them the push-ups from hell😬😓
The guy they are giving props to was literally laying on the ground, that defeats the entire purpose of the challenge. You hold the bottom position, not lay your chest on the ground.
I'm currently doing a 30 day challenge of this. My 1st day I BARELY made it to 13 and now I'm on my 7th day and just hit 18. The long choruses is what destroys you. The actual push up is almost like the relief oddly enough.

Doing push ups at a very slow pace creates more tension thus getting the most of the workout. They all did awesome!👍

Dec 27, 2019: Holy moley....these last two guys are amazing. And hunks too I might politely add! I can not believe how the guy on the right was able to stick with this ON HIS KNUCKLES. My hands started to hurt watching him. Actually, they ALL deserve a big applause for what the average person would not even dream of trying....in public, and certainly NOT on a video. Joey he wasn’t at all, he was going low as possible, you can see him turning his head sideways to get lower. And his shirt was just hanging down.

Back in phase 1 training, I managed this song twice in a row, while a lad in the section managed four! He genuinely didn't look tired at the end either, he just got bored.
I asked him how, he said his dad made him do press ups everyday, he said he can just do them effortlessly like it's walking. 🤯
