    Nothing captures my attention like the foliage of calathea, I recently added a young dottie to my collection, a wishlist plant, I love her hot pink patterning against her mysterious darkness, I loved your video, keep them coming.

    i’m curious what you think of kaempferia elegans which often is confused to be a Calathea “Merak” which doesn’t actually exist! They’re beautiful though!

    I have a very sad Cora that I must of over loved. I bought it with 3 big healthy leaves. There is only one left and it is partly curled and crispy. I have it under a grow light so I’m hoping it will come back.

    Your calathea collection is beautiful and the plants look so lush and healthy. I live in the Caribbean, with high humidity, give my calathea rain or flitered water, and they all have issues except for 1 ornata. The concinna is down to 2 leaves as they keep turning yellow, and the others all have brown tips and sides. I'm so disappointed, I feel quite disheartened and uninspired to try with them. What do they want!!?? LOL

    Hello, how much do they tolerate TDS calatheas?

    • @AddyBeez
      @AddyBeez  Před 3 lety +3

      TDS as in totally dissolved solids? If so, they are known to be very sensitive to TDS. I know a lot of people who have commented here tend to either use rain water or aquarium water, both of which I'm not able to use (no aquarium and I live in an area prone to prolonged droughts). So, I use distilled water and ended up buying a countertop water distiller that has worked pretty well.
