    Im so glad you enjoyed and talked about Space Brothers, what an underrated gem no one knows about! Been my top 1 for years now

      super awesome to hear! I'd love to do a full video on it sometime. My girlfriend (who also has it at #1) showed me the anime a few years ago and then got me to read the manga with her; can't thank her enough for bringing it to my attention. It's for sure undervalued and needs talked about more.

    I also read a lot this year! For me Ajin and Blue Giant stand out as probably my favorite new reads of the year so I highly recommend them if you haven't already checked them out :>

    @SpareMango Před rokem +1

    Yeah Gigant was kind of . . . something. I ended up shelving it to "come back to later" but completely forgot about/stopped caring lmao. Red hood was also pretty disappointing but it had great art and was promising initially.

    I just read Matchmaking at Amagami Household to the latest chapter. It borrows a lot of tropes from other harem anime as well as supernatural elements from Haruhi, Steins;Gate, Bunny Girl Senpai, Monogatari, etc., but still manages to be NOT derivative, refreshing and memorable. In my opinion it's even better than Quintessential Quintuplets and Bokuben in term of story and art. It really brought out the joy of reading romcom manga like Kaguya did.

    Love your reviews! I find myself visiting these videos frequently to find more manga to read. I’ve read A LOT of manga volumes this year myself lmao.
    I read ALL of One Piece in a month, from ch 1 to the most up to date chapter, read all of Dorohedoro & all that was available of Black Clover, TSE, JJK, Gantz, & Vinland Saga just to name a few lol
    Been reading CSM and Spy X Family as of late but I need to complete JJBA, I love the story but I keep getting bored with Stone Ocean. I need to experience SBR to see if it’s as legendary as many hype it up to be.
    I highly recommend Gintama if you’ve never tried the series. It has some of the best comedy and character driven drama I’ve seen since Berserk. Look forward to watching more vids my man.

    • @NINJAMUSHI
      @NINJAMUSHI  Před rokem

      All of One Piece is a month sounds crazy but I read most of what I did in that too. I've wanted to give Gintama a shot but it's never been high in my priorities. I'll give it a go at some point, I'm sure I'd dig it. Thanks for watching!!

    • @NINJAMUSHI
      @NINJAMUSHI  Před rokem

      Oh, and stick with Stone Ocean. It's not my favorite part and the first half is kinda lackluster but it has a really great last third with a lot of cool moments/ideas in it

    I started reading One Piece in October 2022. I’m in the 440s chapters by now, when Thriller Bark starts

  • @why8308

    I’ve read Death Note, Chainsaw Man Part 1, One Piece (only Romance Dawn to Enies Lobby), Bakuman, Pokemon Adventures (R/B/Y), Spy X Family, the first two volumes of Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, and Kaguya. I just got into manga in august, and my favorite series is definitely One Piece. Kaguya was my first manga (and anime) and I also really like that. Death Note was my first manga to get physically, and it is a thousand times better than the anime. Attack on Titan is great until the ending. Pokémon Adventures is ok. Bakuman is fantastic, but the last few arcs weren’t as good imo. I read Chainsaw man all in one day without sleeping and remember absolutely nothing about it, other than that it felt really cinematic and was insane. Spy X Family is really fun to read, and the arc with Twilight’s past was awesome.

    Opinions on some of the manga:
    Platinum Ends endings was fantastic, it was so hillarious. The manga is complete crap, but the ending was the most fun I've had with it.
    Blame! is my favorite manga ever. I binge-read it the first time, then re-read it immediatly and then re-read it a third time directly after.
    Tokyo Ghoul is pure nostalgia for me, basically this got me into manga. And Eto will forever be one of my favorite characters. :re has the best and the worst Arcs of the series, its latter half is a bit weak.
    Chainsaw Man is probably my favorite Shonen besides HxH. It was eye-opening what a Shonen can be.
    Love the Dressrosa Arc. it has pacing problems, but Doflamingo is such a fantastic villain.
    As a huge Paleo-Nerd myself I have heard of Dino-Sanctuary. Might check that one out as well. Have you seen Prehistoric Planet?

    • @NINJAMUSHI
      @NINJAMUSHI  Před rokem

      Thanks for sharing some of those thoughts! Re does concern me a bit, but I hope it's at least fun.
      I haven't watched Prehistoric Planet, but I've wanted to since it released. Some years back, I showed all the Walking With series, Prehistoric Fight Club, Dinosaur Planet, and a few other dinosaur documentaries to my girlfriend, and we had a lot of fun. While they're not perfect and have a lot of inaccuracies, I can't help but still love them, haha. Prehistoric Planet looks super cool and very up to date, though. When we find time, I'm sure we'll enjoy watching it!

    Let's see...
    I've been reading MHA and at this point I'm just waiting for it to end already.
    Still reading the ongoing Chainsaw Man, Berserk, and One Piece, all great.
    I was so happy to see Hunter x Hunter return. The current arc has a lot of flaws but it is just so dense and clever that I love it. I hope Togashi sticks the landing. Just...try to be patient if you decide to catch up. It has a lot of text.
    Blame was interesting, I'll have to check out Nihei's other works.
    Currently reading Naruto for the first time, just finished the Kazekage Rescue arc today, loved it. Sakura and Chiho VS Sasori is probably my favourite fight so far.
    Picked up a few new Jump titles, the only one worth mentioning so far is The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins, by the same author as Takopi's Original Sin. If you liked the latter, you'll like the former.
    The last I'll mention is the newest series by Hiromu Arakawa, Yomi no Tsugai (English title: Daemons of the Shadow Realm). I don't think it's anything too special yet, but it's solid so far with plenty of potential. You already like Fullmetal Alchemist and shounen in general, so you'll probably like this. It releases roughly 60 pages a month.

      I've wanted to check out Arakawa's new work but I'll let it build up some chapters first! Great reads though!

    I’m actually really enjoying Ginka & Gluna so far. It’s recent chapters have rapidly improved in quality and there’s a lot of interesting ideas being introduced. Not sure if it will survive but I hope it does as it’s just a really solid fantasy manga.
