    Please note: i dont hate it. But this isn't a small annoyance that happens once. This paired with Sabine being pierced by a lightsaber but recovering like she was stabbed with a clipper, drones nerfing themselves to the point of letting characters loose at time (eg. Sabine's Tower fight)... Theres no sense of danger AT ALL! All this takes a toll and is making Ahsoka feel like a chore to watch.
    And it shouldn't. If there's a Star Wars character that is right on my alley in terms of character development, its Ahsoka. I love her and it's simply saddening me seeing her so under utilized...

    Another thing is the prisoner is some sort of a night sister witch. In the Mandalorian she was just a asshole magistrate fighting Ahsoka with a metal pole. But now she’s a witch.

    Another thing that annoys me is the map. Why the hell would an ancient map lead to Thrawn? Ancient maps lead to ANCIENT place.
    I desperately want to continue, but the list would be quite long.

    • @JohnSmith-vk9ds
      @JohnSmith-vk9ds Před 8 měsíci

      I didn't watch the episode, but if the characters were able to figure out somewhere where Thrawn ended up, but don't know a hyperlane to get there, then isn't that reason enough to need the map?
      Hyperspace travel in a ship without having a precisely mapped and calculated route is one of the most impossibly dangerous things you can do in the Star Wars universe.

    My problem with the trope is how incredibly inefficient the whole droid assassin self destruct thing is.
    I’m assuming that the droids are assassins because the lady whose name I forgot knows Ahsoka won’t let the maguffin go without killing her (somehow she also knows that she has the maguffin already). So don’t send C-3PO to negotiate, send them B1Xs or HK-47.
    If they lose the fight, it makes sense to cover your tracks and have them wipe themselves out to protect yourself (even though Ahsoka already knows who wants the maguffin).
    So lose the fight, blow yourself up, keep my wifes name out yo mouth.
    Why so long a delay yes, but why so big a boom firstly, and why not lead off with it to begin with?
    The first two I’ll leave but the last I take umbrage with. If you’re going to kill the target (again, assassin droids), why mess around with swinging sticks against a Jedi? Why not go boom and worry about the maguffin after the enemy is a skidmark on the ground?
    TLDR; if they have to kill and they must explode, then that should be their main system to achieve that function.

    Disney runied starwars. People need to come to grips with that. They ignored the fans, the old movies, and the entirety of the extended universe. Now we have generic, boring, and stupid characters, that keep chasing maps instead of doing something good. Maybe something to do with sith and jedi lore. But no, we cant have nice things

      I will repeat what I said to an earlier comment. It was bad. It was awful. People are so used to all of the bad Star Wars since the prequels that this is acceptable. Andor, Rogue One, and the first 2 seasons of the Mandalorian are the only Star Wars worth a damn. The rest is cash grabs and incompetence.

      On top of that, Disney also cancelled one of the game that was showed potential and almost completed called "Battle of the Sith Lords". The game was focused on Darth Maul origin story within Darth Sidious and Darth Plagueis involved in. Somehow, the game would take in around 100 years later after the original triology with him and his apprentice Darth Talon teaming up to defeat Darth Krayt who was the Sith Lord of that currency time.
      One of the reason i hate Disney and their Star Wars content.

    In the clamour for good Star Wars, Filoni & Co have seemingly overlooked what makes good entertainment to begin with. They're not the only ones at Disney to be fair. Actually no, they haven't "overlooked" it, they don't seem to know what it is in the live action format.

    It really isn't that bad, I don't understand. The things you've mentioned in this video seem to be small gripes which are trivial. I understand the character part but that's about it. Nothing to really suggest that Ahsoka has been ruined or makes no sense. It's not bad by any means.

      @Silvartop  Před 8 měsíci +1

      It is not bad, as i stated later in the video. Definetely not hating it a whole but its not a small gripe. The lack of tension pretty much repeats throughout the entire show with Sabine being stabbed with a lightsaber and recovering like she was stabbed with a scissor, drones essentially not fighting... All this makes the show so predictable in a certain way

      It’s not just one little thing, it’s a lot of little things. Death by a thousand cuts.
      It’s like a car that technically runs and will get you from point A to point B. But it has no A/C, no stereo, the windows don’t work, the back taillight is out, the windshield wipers are crap, the windshield itself is cracked, it leaks oil, the breaks squeak… etc.
      Individually each issue doesn’t sound so bad, but together they make what could be a nice car a piece of junk.

      Hold on a second there. Mandalorian has a group of rotating writers. It wasn't just Filoni. In fact the main creator and writer was Jon Favreau which wrote most of the episodes. Filoni can be good with certain material and fail completely at another. But you can clearly tell he was limited to a certain extent as the way Ashoka is written is very uncharacteristic from Filoni. And by the marketing done, its 100% executive interference

    • @JAIstarkillerkid
      @JAIstarkillerkid Před 8 měsíci

      You were specifically referencing the THE JEDI episode of MANDALORIAN though... which, as with the Ahsoka episode of BOBA, was written and directed by Filoni, just like the material you call out here. You are only speculating on the level of corporate interference here, based on "belief"... you have no proof that Filoni was working under restriction and directive. Feels like an anti-Disney stance to me.
