People use his last 7 fights where he’s done nothing on the ground to discount that, but he is nowhere near the same fighter as in 2015 when the Khabib fight was first booked
He was never going to "destroy" Khabib, but up to 2017 he would have won. After 2017 he declined physically, got older, knee exploded, while Khabib was still improving and entered his prime. Khabib 2018 onwards.
