Before that was Kevin Lee who also got a bunch of losses and was washed at the time. So technically Tony hasn’t been relevant since 2016. I’m sure Arielle always introduces Tony in this fashion. I feel part of what added to Tony’s coherent speech, was Ariel’s warm and high praises welcoming Tony on the show. also I’m sure he’s comfortable in his car, as opposed to a studio/ around other people.

Absolutely. He had chandler in danger… he stood toe to toe with GAETHJE!! With that ASSAULT! Bobby Lee? He said in the interview himself.. and I agree with him… he got creative(which has been his trademark), and it went wrong… and he got himself into a serious situation. Anyone who studies enough bjj will know that can happen… you try to get creative and it backfires. Olivera was just a savage… and couldn’t make him tap from that armbar…of course Father Time is undefeated…. But with a few tweaks, Tony could fight anyone on any given night.

Tony was never at the top. He had a win streak deserving of a potential title shot certainly, but who did he beat on his way up? Who did he struggle against? He was intensely entertaining and more tough than just about anyone else out there, but he was never the most skilled.

I love Tony Ferguson. He’s the reason why I watch the UFC.
This dude has absolutely lost his mind. The definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Since the loss to Charles all we’ve heard is “I’ve finally gone back to my old team. I’ve gotten rid of the people in my that were trying to bring me down. I’ve started looking out for me and not worrying so much around those and me and putting myself first”.
He literally says the same thing, verbatim, without missing a single beat. He’s done this for almost 3 full years and 4 more losses. That in itself is terrifying.
You lost to Bobby Green because the fight ahead of you ended “in like a minute” so you didn’t have time to review things with your coach in the locker room? Fights last like 10-15 minutes. He even says this. How about getting all that work in during camp where you have months?
The really scary time will come when (inevitably) UFC cuts him. ONE won’t sign him. Bellator likely can’t afford him. That leaves PFL. I’m sure they’d love to unleash Tony on one of their earlier PPV cards and Ngannou cards.
If you’re a Tony fan or “supporter” or a friend, relative or loved one then that thought should terrify you more than anything.

Look I always enjoyed Tony's fights, he fights stupid, he's fighting IQ is very low but he has a heart of a lion and he does not give up even if he is about to loose an arm or a leg and you got to respect that. Unfortunately it seems to me that the people around him are not good for him and his growth. He should be around people like Khabib and if I was him I would sincerely ask Khabib and his team for help and give it a last go before retirement.
