Chandler will be a long term success, more so than he is now. Clever, articulate and a reflective and positive mindset. If the ufc don't give him a contract of some sorts after he retires they would have dropped a huge clanger.

Even if the fight won’t happen, I think it was the correct decision to wait for McGregor. The risk - reward ratio wouldn’t be in his favor with basically any other top fighter in the division. So, as long as he has other business that provides a lot of money, everything is fine for him.
Mcgregor started the “owning an alcohol brand” thing, but it really doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for MMA fighters at the highest levels to align with alcohol

This division was fire a couple years back. The logjam is so crazy at the top. We have gone serious time between fights of Chandler, Gaethje, and Poirier. Feeling a bit like missed opportunity because these guys are not getting younger. Islam is a bad man, but I really dont like his fight schedule. My Chandler dream fight would be Volk.

Chandler is very confident for a guy with 2-3 UFC record. Everyone can use that level of confidence. Anyone else would have been cut by now. Not only is he is not cut, UFC is giving him the best pay day that any MMA org can offer in Conor fight.
His fights are incredibly entertaining, no one cares if you’re 15-0 if you’re boring
2-3, firstly. And secondly, all of his fights he has been very close to winning. He was beating Poirier, was beating Oliveira, close fight with Gaethje. He’s also extremely fun to watch.
