Hey buddy I like your videos. Quick question for you. Can I install one of those in a 2000 Toyota tundra first generation. ? V8 4.7 ty
Is it the same as the pedal commander?.
@@timfreeman3826 Same thought be hind it but better execution imo
@@JuanPereZ-ji1op They should have one for the 4.7. I know they do for the 4Runner with that motor. But I'd double check with them. Use my code still to save $$$
Hey your coupon code doesnt work.
"That's way too much power" said no man ever!
Kind of wild that I just bought my Beat-Sonic amp a couple of weeks ago based on your review (and you were spot on with the review) and today I just purchased this one (literally the one in your video). The guy you sold the truck to removed it and the Heretic fogs, and sold them to me. Can't wait to get them into my truck.
I have a Throttle Commander on my 2012 Ford diesel Super Duty, and I use the economy mode for the slick Wyoming streets and roads. I’m sure this would work the same way making it much easier to get around without spinning the wheels every time you touch the throttle. Getting a new Tundra and will definitely be getting one of these!
Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it. On my 4runner, I've always explained throttle enhancers as devices that add in the drive modes that every other car gets from the factory. Nice to see that they can even enhance vehicles that have those drive modes already.
Pretty great explanation man!!!
can you explain what the diff is with this vs the drive modes?
The lockout mode is absolutely dope! That feature alone makes this system worth it.
For sure!!!
@@TRDJon it works how to goes whit gas spend more, same or less?? Thank you
@@TRDJon If you put it in lockout mode on the app, can you get it out of the lockout mode by manually pushing the button provided with the unit?
I need that for my Supra
Fuel economy at the end, "Oh well", had me laughing. Great job on demonstrating this product. If I order it, I will definitely use your discount code.
Thank you for so much watching the whole video that really means a lot! I appreciate you using the code to use to save yourself some money! Let me know if you have any questions
I have the F’N tuned and love how much detail it has!
Verry cool video. Definitely getting this for my tundra
Hey John, thanks for sharing this easy to add on mod. I may have to purchase this mod for my 2022 Tundra.
Lets gooooo! Hope you saved $$$ with my code!
Hey Jon, I was looking at getting a little pep out of my 23 tundra and i was looking at the JB4 or this Pedal commander.
Have you used both the JB4 and this unit?
My biggest concern with the JB4 is , that for the money you pay , you have to have 93 octane for more psi boost and i honestly wont really use it that often. For a daily driver who would want an occasional boost of throttle response , running 89 gas, would you say this unit would be a better buy and are you still using this in your new Tundra sir? Or should i just run it in sport S+ mode instead
Thank you for any guidance/ help you can provide.
Hey Jon, another inspiring video! Question, what factory drive mode do you have it in when you adjust for throttle response with this kit? Do you have a preference, does the mode have to be in factory sport or does one have the freedom to choose? Maybe it was mentioned, but i wasn't definite. Thanks!
This looks awesome!
Great videos. I have a 23 tundra with the shiftpower throttle response controller and carlinkit box. The app for the controller works fine on my phone, however when I use the app on my touchscreen through the android box it connects the first time fine but if I leave the app and come back to it it will not connect. Have you experienced this? Thanks so much
I really like lockout and valet mode. That makes this really worth it.
I'll likely get this just for the lockout feature! Everything else will just be a bonus
For sure! It’s still discounted and my code stacks on top
Of it.
Put it on my 2022 Tundra TRD Pro. Omg it gets you to top speed so quick. Im kinda glad it only goes 109. Thanks for the discount code.
Enjoy it
Which one did you buy for your TRD pro. I have a 23 I just got and I’m eager to try it
@@TRDJon does it work on Iforce Max Hybrid ?
Great collection of TOYs in your arsenal
Thank you my friend.
I have the sprint booster, and it works fantastically. But this is something new, and I like the fact that it has that app(love the app) and also the lockout feature(love that too). If it wasn't for the lockout feature and the app of course, I would say it's no different than the sprint booster or the pedal Commander.
can you explain what the diff is with this vs the drive modes?
@@MrDW72 if you are talking about the shift power, pedal commander, and the Sprint booster(what I also call throttle enhancers), I think basically they're all the same, I just try to go with the one that has less problems if any. But what I like about the shift power is it has a lockout feature, but also there is a setting on it which I just found out that it can be set up to engage it after 10 mph. Also the difference between sport mode, race mode, etc, is response time to the throttle, meaning it's much shorter and it opens up the throttle faster.
I'm waiting for someone to crack into the ecu and dyno tune it .. but this seems great for the time being.
Curious how it is compared to models with sport plus mode
I drive my Capstone in Tow and Tow+ most of the time. It makes it very fun to drive! 😂
Would this work on the hybrid?
I’m curious what that would make the standard SR feel like?
Convinced me. My 24 comes in this week, ordered the conteoller 👍
Good choice!
What do you think for 2007 4th gen 4 runner
What happens in tow mode with this mod.
Lockout feture worth it. My vehicle not on compatible list, so I emailed them. 2007 Tundra.
Got a response and gave me the correct part number. Thanks!
Jut got mine and put it on. Is everything you say. Is awesome thanks
Heck ya! You are welcome
Hey John
I had the pedal commander on my 2016 4R and I had to disconnect it since it would kill my throttle completely sometimes, which is a no go for a vehicle (literally). I have wanted to do a OBD-II throttle controller, but my radio already occupies that port. This product checks all the right boxes for me, but I would be worried about it disabling my gas pedal in the middle of driving like the PC did
Edit: I don’t think this is for me since I don’t see 2016 4R compatibility. Dang…
They have a 4R one, I actually did a full video on it for 4R right here. czcams.com/video/YFHIF629W6w/video.html
I have slight lag in the morning after first start up, would this correct it? Also does it stay in the mode you choose or does it go back to,default when you turn the truck off. Thanks
It stays in the mode you last had it in
Hi Jon, was this test done before or after your AFE Intake installation? I don't hear the turbos like you could hear them in the AFE GT Intake installation video.
Afe was on a different truck so this was before
Could this be installed on a 2024 Tundra capstone?
If I put it in lockout mode from the app and then manually hit the physical button, does it leave lockout mode? Just curious as to how theft-protective it is
Glad you enjoyed!
Jon - did you have any issues when first pairing? I enter the password from the manual but it just keeps requesting the password to pair constantly and can’t do anything else. Maybe I need to turn off the infotainment system first?
You shouldn't need to turn the infotaiment off. You can try that though. Or maybe turn your bluetooth off then back on to re search for it. I didn't have an issue with any of my 3 vehicles I did with this system honestly.
You should buy and review the JB4 Burger tuner. Get before/after dynos etc.
idk if there are dyno tuners near me
Maybe a dumb question, but why do you have to leave the driver side door open for 10 minutes before install?
Per the instructions it’s to let the vehicle go fully into standby mode
Looks fun. Might get this. Still doing good for ya in 2024?
How does this work on a new Tacoma? talk about having a lazy pedal... Looking for something to alleviate it. Not sure if I want to do a tune as well. What do you recommend?
Yes 100%
I would do this to a Tacoma any day of the week
I just use the ECT
Do you recommend anything like that for a Gx460? And does that mess with your warranty at all?
Not it won't leave a code on you ECU at all
Do you know of anything like this for a 2023 gx460 premium-plus thar you'd recommend. Thank you man, the channel is awesome!!
If you lock out from your phone. Can you use the switch in your truck to turn it off? Or you have to use your phone to lock and unlock?
You have to use your phone.
I bought the controller using your exact link and the promo code (thanks for that) installed it and for whatever reason when I downloaded the app it doesn't give me the option to chose a tundra. I don't think it changes how the product works but still weird. I've done some early testing and I like it on sport mode 35% feels balanced with power.
I had to back in and out of the app twice for the Tundra to come up but it did
@@TRDJon got it. It wouldn’t affect how it works either way right?
Where did you get your bottom door sill covers?! Thanks!
Tufskinz. I have a video on my channel for it 🤙🏼
I use a familiar product from K@N on my 2006 first Gen Tundra and it also does the exact same thing and it gets pretty ridiculously sensitive.
I love it on my First Gen Tundra when I'm towing and it makes a really big difference when towing you get instant power.
Yes would be prefect for towing for sure!!
Love the channel Jon. Would you want to sell your Carven Exhaust?
I will sell it when it comes time yes. Probably local. I don't wanna ship
I have a 2022 Tundra iForce Max hybrid. Would this work for that as well?
It should yes. Double check with them
Is there one for tacoma and would this be better then pedal commander?
Yes and Yes. Here is my video on that. czcams.com/video/GEyGg7XU-BM/video.html
I know you said you weren’t a huge fan of the Carven exhaust but to me it doesn’t seem that loud in the cab.
nice man. it sounds great at wide open throttle for sure
I like those pedals. What pedal covers are those?
OEM trd
Id like to hear that exhaust in person because through a phone its 😬
Love Banks Pedal Monster on my 22 1794 With Idash. You should try Banks
Hey! Nice! Does it have some additional features to this? What makes you like that on? Thanks for watching!
@@TRDJon With the added Idash it opens more features. with just the Pedal monster stand alone it just the the module and app.
Good to know!
The banks was the right way to go much safer product, gets it power from the OBD port.
@@williamtucker5855you’re saying it’s an issue with the system plugging into the throttle?
Do you remove the throttle response before taking it into the dealership?
You can if you are worried about anything
can you explain what the diff is with this vs the drive modes?
I did
what does this do to your MPG? have you tested it yet?
Honestly staying about the same
i feel like the way you describe the Race/SS mode of the throttle enhancer is how my trd pro throttle goes out the box in normal mode/sport mode
Yea with the Hybrid system it is wayyyy more noticeable.
@@TRDJon i still can’t believe how much better this powertrain is compared to the tacoma, getting up to speed is effortless
Oh god. WORLDS better
@@TRDJon makes me excited for potential hybrid max taco hopefully….i have half a mind to buy this commander though to lock my pedal when i park at the airport during business trips
That wouldn’t be a bad idea man. My code stacks with their discount already
Do you prefer this over pedal commander?
Yes personally
I have the PC an love it on my tundra. I leave it in city mode, however I'm impressed with the lockout and valet modes on this. I purchased it, will be an interesting comparison. Fyi the trdjon discount didn't work, no biggie tho just fyi.
Sorry just saw this. Hope it works!
@@TRDJon no worries brother!
Is the check engine light on because this is hooked up?
That's a tire pressure light.
Love that it has the ability to lock the throttle out. That's an innovative theft prevention
Yes. Such a great feature.
Seems cool but I'm not sure it's $219 (original price $259) cool. I feel there is plenty of pep with the iForce Max not to justify getting it (for me anyways).
Thank you for the review mi jicama con chile
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Would you still suggest this item sir? Have you also installed this on the newest tundra?
I would for the lock out feature alone and if you have issues with your throttle lag.
@TRDJon thank you sir!
So is it still working today as described in the initial review???
I’ve sold the vehicle since, but it worked great up until the day I sold it
It's basically a Cobb access port. Subarus have been rocking that since 2008. 😂 14 years later......
Yeah, it’s basically nothing like a Cobb AP.
Is it compatible with hybrid model. Thanks
Yes, it is but double check their site.
safe to use on a 2024 Tundra Limited iForceMax?
I'd double check with their site but should be
How’s your MPG been after inst… was literally typing this in the final seconds and you showed your results. Guess that answer my question on how’s it affected mpg thanks for the great video.
That was a hard drive. But I'm at 15.1 right now with lift and bigger tires.
How much is that system I have a 2022 Tacoma that could use that extra go fast.

I do yes for the amount of features and pricepoint
Does it remove turbo lag?
Yes. I mention that in the video and during the race mode portion
Make a review of pedal commander and shiftpower usa pls love to know who is the best
I really compare them both in my 4R video
Why does my toyota tundra 2023 does a nock sound when y turn it on in the morning by the trasmission
There was a TSB for that. My first one use to do that
I live in puerto rico what is tsb
Something your dealer will take care of on the truck for you
Ok thanks
Does this void the warranty?
It could affect warranty yes
I have been thinking about looking for something like this for my Tundra, the dead pedal drives me nuts at times. I'm sold!, I also just got on the list for a 23 Sienna.
Can you show your 4runner with this?
I did. The video is already on my channel
Will this work for a 24 tundra
Yes it will.
Will this ruin turbos.
Not to my knowledge
I wish it was compatible with my 2020 Tundra
They have one for the 2020. Just check their site. This is only for the 2022
I assume the mpg goes down?
Depends how hard you are on it

Dead pedal on the 4runner is brutal. Any enhancement would be welcoming.
Do you still use this thing? Do you recommend it?
I do
Thanks...One thing I dislike about my '24 Tundra is the lag when I hit the gas. Perhaps this will help with that.@@TRDJon
I've just received and installed it. In my opinion, setting the ECO mode at 15% makes the truck run optimally. I prefer smoother acceleration without lag, and this setting suits my driving style perfectly.
0-60?
Do they have it for the 2011 Tundras❤
I believe so yes
damn $3.19 for fuel?..... Good Lort!
any info on how it affects MPG?
Honestly didnt really change
@@TRDJon thank you for the quick response. My Platinum I force max is currently only getting 14 to 15 and did not really want to make it any worse. take care.
Thank you do about the tundra 2022
I traded in a 2012 Tundy for my 2023. I noticed a huge difference in throttle response and i've been a little sad about it haha.. Maybe this is just what the doctor ordered :D
What the warranty of this ? And does void Toyota warranty?
I explained that in the video. But I does not write anything on the ECU computer at all. Just there to manipulate trhottle. Take it out when you go to the dealer if you have any issues.
@@TRDJon thank you. Sorry definitely miss that part some how !

See it u can fine a system that give more than 110mph top speed
Idk if I wanna go faster than that! Does the Carista allow for that? I know it helps change ALOT.
@@TRDJon in a straight line I’ll take the 120 if i can get it. I’m not sure about the Carista, only thing i messed with was the locks, turn signal, seat belts alert and rolling down the windows with the key fob, kinda bomber tho that it only rolls Em down and not up
