In this video, I go over every single modification I have added to my 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Off-Road. I would do 90% of these mods again I feel on the next truck but with a twist of course.
Thank you all for watching.

Thanks for sharing Jon! I really love this Tundra!
It looks good! I did 1.75” Rough Country with a 1” Cornfed spacer in the rear. Raised it and kept some rake. Also went with 275 70 R18 Cooper AT3 XLTs on my SCS F5s in gunmetal. Got the same white SR5 but 4x2.
Good stuff, Jon. Thanks for the video!
As always good review now I have a lot of things to put in my Limited Hybrid thanks for sharing this video cheers
Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it.
Thanks for watching as always.
Awesome video, exactly the information I was looking for 🎉
Absolutely beautiful truck brotha👏🏻😎
Thanks man!
Really considering the Westcott Designs collar lift for my 17 Tacoma. I keep hearing good things from you on yours and would imagine the tacoma one would be just as good. Have the readylift 3/2 kit on it now and just looking to change it to a more comfortable ride without paying big $.
Really great content. Thank you
My pleasure!
Keep the springs and get Timbren’s to reduce squat. Progressive springs won’t be bad, but they will not ride as smooth as stock when unloaded. Timbren’s won’t affect your unloaded ride, but will help when loaded exactly like a progressive spring
I would do a front windshield tint too, but it’s not legal in Virginia and you won’t pass the annual safety inspections.
I did have all other glass tinted to the max. Tinting the pano roof glass significantly reduced the summer heat intrusion. 👍
Did both on my new truck. Love it.
Jon, I know you are the right guy to ask, do you have any preferences on wheel locks for the tundra pro stock bbs?
Love the Tuffskinz stuff. You mentioned you are going with a Hybrid. Going with the TRD Pro??
That's the plan!
Love my husky Mats ! They are really good
I have 10yo Husky mats in my '13 F-150 Platinum...look brand new, perfect fit and placement..made in Kansas.
Love your posts, thank you for educating us on all the available options. Can you send me the Vendor for the door sill protectors, front grill trim and the rubber sections for the inside compartments. I looked around, but couldn't find the co's you mentioned. I appreciate your help.
Hey!! All those I’ve gotten on Amazon
@@TRDJon Thank you!
Have problem with my weather tech on front passenger on my 2nd gen
I have a 5% brow and a80 ceramic film on my windshield. Does wonders. You could probably get away with 20% on front and 15% on back if you wanted without being too dark
For sure. My vision sucks so maybe 50-% at most
@@TRDJon the a80 film is practically invisible and on the outside it has a tint of blue and barely any added darkness.
@@TRDJonYou prolly don't want a 50% tinting...at night?...in the rain?
Nuh-uh.
Look into 3D Maxpider floor mats, you won't be disappointed.
1 year and a new Tundra….bro WHAT?!?
Which package dis you have on this?
the decked problem can be solved using a bed shell. i had the same problem with my taco
I thought about that too. But then that really is good for storage but then linings over the rail access.
question: I thought the chrome bumpers only "started" on the Limited and above? I love my SR5 sport because it has ZERO chrome, lol. with the blacked out badges in blue-print (body color) it looks fantastic. Adding the tufskin grill inlays (the tri color scheme and TRD logo) soon. Most of these mods seem worthwhile- love the bed drawers but I think I'd run into the same "issue" you have: limits the truck as a "truck" too much.
Good luck finding tires that aren't an E or F load. I want to put a 295/70R18 on mine and the only thing out there in an SL is a Nitto Recon Grappler. I really want Toyos but don't want the weight. I'm at a loss.
Toyo is a sister company to Nitto and honestly Nitto’s are great quality.
@TRD JON Yeah I know. I just prefer the look of the Toyo AT3. Plus they're snow rated and I live in the northeast. They are just too gosh darn heavy though.
Switch to TuxMat for the floor liners, you will never switch back!
What are the rear springs you mentioned here? And would you still consider the westcott designs 3”&1” lift? Or will be considering something better for your new truck? Mine is a 2023 TRD Sport 4WD.
You replaced the console to fix the creaky noise? Was it a warranty replacement?
Yes it was.
Is the softex shown in your truck an option for the sr5 trim?
Yes it is.
You could go with the airbags from air lift, instead of an HD spring? I think ride quality would be better.
Yes you could as well. Springs for those though for off road. I’ll do bags most likely in the next truck
@@TRDJon I would suggest the wireless controller as well. I have one on my 2014, and it's wonderful.
You drove that from FL to AZ, & back?
On those tires? At what speed please?
75-80 some times 65-70 depending on traffic
Jon - have you had any issues with acceleration lag with your Tundra before any mods? I’ve heard its been an issue with slow rolling accelerations. Would love your feedback! Thanks
I have a couple of times. There is a TSB for this though. SO your dealer can help you out with that.
@@TRDJon very much appreciate the quick response. good to know. What’s a TSB? What they did solves the problem?
I think it stands for Toyota Safety Bulletin.
Technical Service Bulletin. Industry standard for non-recall service issues that include updated procedures and/or part number updates.
Whenever you are experiencing a recurring issues ask the tech or service writer if they have reviewed or applied all applicable TSBs regarding the issue.
Husky liners
Where did you get that red trd insert for the front grill. Would like to do it to mine.
Tufskinz
@@TRDJon thanks!
Just look up Tufskinz, TRDJon, and you should be able to see it on my channel
Did you notice a loss in mpg when you installed the 35s?
Oh yea
About the WeatherTech floor liners.. Looks like you didn't buy HP model they're a softer/ different texture and fits more formfitting.. You should give those try and review them...
They weren’t available
Yeah was in the boat..The old version too stiff..I'm on the fence..I went up their HQ here in Colorado..to have a look...Will give them a try..@@TRDJon
Of course weather tech is nice to the youtuber and not other people without the reach lol
....really? lol I just snet an email. Nothing to do with youtube. I actually paid for them originally.
@@TRDJon you’re TRD Jon! The people know you dawg
Would be great if you had linked all products.
I have in their individual videos. I thought I did here too. Sorry man. What link you lookin for?
Did you have any issues with TSS with the lift and bigger tires?
Nope not at all
Thank you! Great content by the way!
Thanks!
Air bags take care of that.
I have the automatic rear step on my capstone tundra, and I only had to pay $80k for it. 😩
Yes, and WHITE leather seat cvrs. Brave Man.
Are you getting a tundra Trd pro?
That is the plan yes
@@TRDJon you have one on order?
@@TRDJon brother just ordered a limited tundra and he will get it by next Christmas crazy wait times
What you MPG with this setup boss
around 15-16
@@TRDJon thanks!
Which AFE exhaust are you getting?👀👀
🤷🏻♂️ lol
Video should be up hopefully Monday/Tuesday
Wish it had v8
Would be nice for that option still
No v8 no dice
You’re doing the step down wrong . Put your foot on the back corner and press away from the truck . It couldn’t be easier.
Psi I could have just waited, or I helped you !
All good. Definitely not using that tire place anymore for future vehicles.
I don’t like all the badging
I deleted mine or color matched
Nice clean look I'm sure
Looks a tad bit high in the front.
It's on an incline but it is squat due to the deck system for sure
How much you going sell it for ?
I’ll have to look at comps when the Tim comes. But probably 55-58
@@TRDJon not bad , with or without the accessories!!?
Can’t stand the negative rake. Westcott never gets this right
It's their West Coast style. Other options out there. But it was a great kit.
The deck system is pointless. If you need that much storage all the time then get a SUV.
It has it's place like I mentioned. But not here for a truck needed for truck things.
I agree with both. I think the deck system would be a greatly complimented by some kind of bed rack. If that's all to much maybe just go for some pelican or rigid box mounted system, that way you can pup them out when not needed alot easier.
Truck bed depth is listed @ 20.9".
My '13 F-150 measures 22" w/FORD Bed Mat.
3-1 is awful. Stop squatting the back... smh
It’s the decked system and these horrible soft coils
@TRD JON Old Man Emu lifts will do a better job than stock springs.
It looks like it’s slanted on the back. Not a good look.
