Man, I'm a former college athlete and from the hood. Man, I'm not worried about Coach Prime coming to my crib. I would love to fly to Colorado and get that bag and play for Coach Prime and to help my mom get out of the hood. Forget what you all are talking about.
This might work for a few players but not everyone has that background where money is the top priority and even more so most players arent good enough to make any demands

I thought Colorado wasn't an atm though? So what does that have to do with deion making home visits or not? I coach at one of the biggest schools in ga. Yes, these kids care of a coach comes and sees them. When college coaches come to the school and then go to their home, they can't stop talking about it. Believe it or not, there are still guys that play for the love of the sport.

He did go to one of drelon’s games but he lives in Texas so it prolly wasn’t a in home visit per se.
So no one on the show listened to the full clip of what he said about home visit. He clearly said he would rather the kid and family come to Boulder. The past 3 years Prime has signed 3 5star players.
Coach Prime for the second year in a row used the portal exclusively. He only signed six or seven kids from high school. It is what it is. Kids these days are too entitled and too self absorbed. They will commit, then turn around and pick another school.

I coach currently at the collegiate level. Kids don’t do home visits. They wanna be on campus. They wanna see the facilities. Everyone on that panel is talking about how THEY would have been wanted to be recruited
Some folks not paying attention to Coach Prime interviews, ain't gone lie, kids these days care more about the NIL bag more than a home visit.
Man Prime fly the families out to Colorado, and once they commit, they do monthly Zoom calls with the parents and coaches on the 21st of each month. And why wouldn't the parents want to come to him so they can see how their kid will be living? And Prime isn't other coaches. His name alone recruits. And with the portal a lot of high school kids not getting recruited unless they're 4 and 5 stars. So recruiting across all colleges may not be what they used to be.
He got the Top players Cormani and Seaton without it and other Highschool players without it. He's doing it his way.
He got 6 recruits this year.

This makes no sense. Prime has literally told these people his strategy, and they act like this is new. Second, why are they talking like they didn't listen to the interview? Oh, I forgot, they dont do research 😅. The O-Line stated why he did not sign on signing day, and they said what they said. Also, Prime literally said he fly his recruits he want to bolder so they can be infectious with the scenery and not waste his time and energy.

Just because that's the way it's always been doesn't mean that's the only way to do it. They can face time, etc. These kids know who Prime is, not only his parents. He can follow up in person for the ones he wants to pursue further.
And that is the reason why he loves travis, like a son, because Travis put everything on a line and gambled his future with prime.

I agreed with Coach Prime 100%. Let them come to Colorado and show them where they could possibly play at. But please pay for their expenses including their parents.
Kids recruited by D1/D2 schools get a total of 5 official visits but they only get 1 visit per school. The schools pays for the athlete and their parents transportation to/from the school, lodging, 3 meals a day, and tickets to a home game. Personally, I’d rather visit the school. I’d want to test the water in the environment my kid will be living and attempting to thrive in for most of the year. Using the rationale the majority of these guys use here, why aren’t we talking about key members of a university’s administration NOT making home visits. The rationale could apply to them as well. Your kid isn’t just adding value to the athletic program, they’re adding value to the school at large.
Coaches can do home visits, sit on your furniture, eat your food, look you right in the eye, shake your hand, and promise any and everything they think will get your kid to attend their school and it all be a lie. Why settle for 2-3 hrs talking to a coach in your home when you can get an all expense paid trip to the school for a “weekend” and not only see and talk to the HC but to be able to see the campus AND test the waters like I mentioned earlier.

Coach Prime is a well known, well liked and very strategic celebrity. He needs to worry about his safety at all times. He is not like other coaches. He has the perfect strategy. Recruits should visit to see if they really like CU or just the hype. When he face time the whole family can be there and see him. Very smart strategy. Plus he is trying to save the school money that can be used another way.
My nephew is a 4 star and he prefers to brag about going to a college and having a face to face conversation, a picture with the coach and a visit to the school. My nephew thinks all the coaches that want to visit him are desperate and trying to hide the flaws of the school.

Another viewpoint is that Coach Prime is more than a coach. He's a celebrity. It is what it is.The attention would be on the fact that CP came to visit and less on the prospect. The potential for his visit to turn onto a
circus with fans and media because the prospect's connections did not keep it private due to the excitement factor. It's a human nature thing. When those kids and their parents get a paid trip to a beautiful location and vip treatment, the focus is on them. The visuals of where they will stay and play will have an impact. Its practicality is evolved from what's traditional. These days kids are more influenced by updated methods using current technology and time efficiency for recruitment and follow up communication. Where they play is ultimately their decision. What hinders Coach Prime in his recruitment is the level of confidence in playing on a winning team and if he stays after his sons leave.

Perspective,
Coach Prime and his staff main priority and objective is to win football games. We saw how the first year went and the made a lot of obvious well needed adjustments. Size was a big factor across the board on both sides of the ball and they have improved upon that and then some. Why wouldn’t he devote most of his resources and time to the transfer portal on guys who have already proved themselves on the field at a high level?? High Schoolers for the most part take time to develop, Coach Prime and his staff have to produce positive results right now. All eyes are on them. We saw that last year and we’ll see it again this year. Also, a lot of these high schoolers egos get in the way of their blessings so I’m not even mad at Prime and his staff for making that decision. Nothing but respect for Coach Prime and his staff 💪🏽.
Coach Prime is a celebrity, he can't just travel like any coach. He moves with an entourage, expensive hotels and security so it's expensive for Coach Prime. He'd rather just give you the money you want.

Allow Coach Prime to run his "experiment". What I needed coming out of HS as an academic athlete was detailed college tours not someone in my living room. I'd much rather you fly my immediate family out, give us the run of the campus full access, lunch at the cafeteria that may be feeding me for the next 3-6 years and dinner at your house. It's 2024, I'd prefer weekly video chats and catch me on Madden or Fortnite over a one-off home visit.
High school kids will flip to the highest bidding collective every opportunity. First-year players are absolutely unpredictable - there’s no guarantee of football or academic success. Portal with more mature players seems more reliable. Deion Sanders is riding the changing tide -
