Good vid Chris! Only thing I would add is the reminder that as soon as you get said gun, that you check the pattern. From Harbor freight to Sata I've seen guns fresh out of the box that spray top or bottom heavy.

What other tools do you recommend I purchase I have a 67 mustang my first restore project it needs some body work has small rust spots, what other tools do you recommend I purchase to do the body work, sanders ect...
I recently purchased a contour sct , I would say add that one to the list for restoration work.

Depends on volume needed for that gun mini guns use about 4cfm where larger high end hvlps can take around 12-16 cfm . , I would say however to answer your question minimum 3/8

Hey Chris. I am about to by my first gun. I will mainly be using it to paint solid body guitars. I need something that will be able to spray primer, paint and dyes. I have a Harbor Freight Fortress compressor. It has a 10 gallon tank and delivers 4.3 SCFM @ 90 psi. It has an onboard regulator. I will get a more accurate regulator. Not sure which way to go on the gun. Any suggestions would be very appreciated! Thanks.
Hard to say with that small of a compressor , I would say go for a lvlp spray gun such as a spray it 33000
I'm new to painting trying to amass my tools to get started, not knowing personally only what I've seen, I purchased an Iwata HZ3 for primer, a Devilbiss fg5 for sealer. A Tekna pro lite for base and a Supernova for clear, I installed a 60 gallon compressor, what is your recommendations on my gun selections to get started painting. Thank You for your advise...
Those are all great guns for thier intended purpose but I would ask, why so many guns?

Look into the 3m performance spraygun I think it will suit you well one gun for all purposes
I've got a air compressor. I am finding it hard to find a good spray gun. My budget is 500-600 GBP, I just will be doing single panels & bumpers not a whole car or anything like that.
Compressor specs:
250L/MIN
8.1 cfm (displacement)
50L tank / 11 gallons.
could you recommend me something?
I would recommend a Dv1S it’s a mini gun , uses low cfm , large fan multiple tip sizes and put down base and clear beautifully

Start small , go for a kiwami or a black widow from harbor freight

I think you should be fine, black widow is a great gun, might have to give the compressor a small break here and there but you should be good 👍🏻
Make sure you have a good filteration System too , very important
I wanna buy a base & clear coat spray gun and I was confused between flg5 and iwata kiwami or belaria now the gunman add the gpg to my confusion 😅 by saying it's very close to gti pro lite, I have 60 galon air compressor with 40 cfm, my budget is about $250 I need your advice.

Out of those options I would try the gpg it’s an all around gun , good price , sprays as well as a tekna prolite and has many options for tips and caps

Hard to really say , but there are some nice walcoms for about 2-300 bucks .
