Now this is a proper "How To" video. Straight to the point, no frills and jargon. Very informative and useful for someone like me who bought my first jigsaw yesterday and not knowing the first thing about using it. All I know is, it can cut wood in curves. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Being a 71 year old woman, I was never really taught how to use a lot of wood working tools. I have learned some things along the way and enjoy working with wood. My husband passed in 2015 and he had a LOT of tools. I kept most all of them and have since learned how to use most of them. I have recently demoed a shed that was overrun by bees and critter shinanigans. You're tool instruction videos have helped me in learning how to use my tools properly, to demo and down the shed. I even used a come along to topple it over, once I eliminated the 2 long walls; leaving only the 2 X 4 frame. It is so satisfying to be able to use the tools I have, with confidence and safety to finish this huge project. Thank you for your channel! I'll be watching more of them, I'm sure!

I have a 1983 Sears-Craftsman Jigsaw that has a cool feature: You can turn the blade while you’re cutting for easy scroll cuts. The blade turning separately from the saw is also awesome as you don’t have to turn the entire saw. (Model 315.10723)

Thank you for the simple tutorial and warnings! LOL Though I had experience in a school workshop many years ago and have watch others use power tools, I have decided now is the time to invest in my own. I am a Grandma with a young Grandson who does not have a male figure in his life. I have a great desire to teach him as many life skills as I can. My Dad would be so proud! Last year we took up fishing, this year we are building some small projects! A refresher before I plug these things in is super great. Safety glasses...think ahead...Check:)

  • @wulipondcatforeverwild3156

Thank you, sir. Thank you very much. I need to cut a vent hole on a plywood, for my floor AC. The guy I so politely requested to help me out with this hasn’t responded. Well then, I shall have to do it myself! It is good to be self- reliant, but be sure you know what you’re doing, and be safety conscious. I am no stranger to small power tools ( I have a small cordless miter saw and small cordless circular saw from Ryobi, and of course, have the power screw/impact driver). But my experience is very limited. So I always check in on available training or refresher courses. So, after this video I’ll get me a jigsaw and get on with my tiny project. Thank you, again!
