Nice video for those unfamiliar with the tool. One thing to note when installing a blade into a jigsaw is to be sure the blade also aligns with the blade guide roller! Also, that blade can get really hot from the friction of cutting so caution, and gloves, are advised if the blade needs to be changed out or removed from the tool after completing a cut.
Good tip!
when I'm concern about safety your video really help me gain confidence using power tool. Thank you for video.
I’m a tool time girl as well and Love making things, like you I have done many projects. I enjoy learning from other wood workers. I appreciate your tutorials, you do a great job explaining all aspects of the tools, and the camera loves you 😁. Continue the doing great work and tutorials.
That is awesome! Thank you!
Screws, that is the best beginners tutorial needed. Size, types, and compatibility with types of wood/material, please.
Noted!!
Best jigsaw instructions I've seen on CZcams. 👍
Thank you! Glad it was helpful and clear :D
Sincerely appreciate this tutorial, I'm so impressed with your knowledge and love the way you teach us. Thank you so much 🤗
GURL! I've had my Ryobi jig saw for months and you just taught me about so many more uses! Thank you
I didn't know I needed one of these...until now. Mind blown with the bevel cuts! Thank you for the tutorial.
I liked your technical analysis of the blade, as it gives more to the approach of what has been chosen to be cut.
thanks!
I am an old man and I am so impressed and learning a lot , most of the tools I think I have for the beginners.. 👍 your fan.
I just purchased a Rhoni Brishless jigsaw last week and can’t wait to use it. This video came at the right time.🙂
The jig saw tutorial was very helpful. Thank you.
Excellent lesson! I always enjoy your project videos as well as these more lesson type videos. Thank you.
I’m just now getting into trying to actually learn about woodworking and DIY, as opposed to just trial and error, so I’ve watched a lot of different CZcamsrs, but I really enjoy your tutorial videos the best! They are very thorough and teach you everything you need to know about the topic at hand while being concise at the same time; a great combination! It’s apparent that you are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what you’re teaching and that really comes through in your videos 😀 Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you for the kind words. This made my day. I am so glad you find them helpful. That is my entire goal - to inspire and empower everyone.
I just got a jigsaw for xmas and have been a bit nervous about trying it. Your video was the third one I watched tonight on how to use it and the best one for making it feel way less intimidating. Thank you for this info! 😊
Yay! So happy to hear that. Keep going, you can do it!
Oh, it's my best tutorial period! After watching this video, I had no other question. Am now confident to use my jigsaw. It's a 10/10 tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you Anika! I’ve been looking into and wondering about jig saws since last Summer! With your very descriptive video, I felt comfortable to purchase one. Please keep the videos coming! You are such an inspiration! Take good care!
Such a great tutorial! Thank you very much, Anika!
This was very helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for ALL the info!
I had a jigsaw but got rid of it as I couldn’t use it properly after watching this tutorial I will be purchasing another and practising.
Also great to see a woman knowing how to use power tools, they’re not just for men!!!!
I am a first-time user (had used a saw decades ago!) I am also in my 60s, but I have the NEED and a strong desire to make things I want. TY TY TY TY For being very thorough, and explaining things in detail in such a way I can easily understand. I "Thought" I was fully prepared (Safety goggles, mask) but I need to go and get clamps (I knew this, but didn't) for today I am okay with the blade it came with, but I also will need in the future various types of blades. At the moment it's a shelf I am making, and redoing a bookcase. But later on, I want to do some fancier things. You have encouraged me further. SAFETY FIRST And above all! I was born with 10 fingers and plan on keeping them for the rest of my life.
Glad to have you! Stay safe out there and keep going!
Just the person I want to talk to. Also in my 60's and tired of asking my neighbour to make cuts for my projects. My small concern is the weight of the saw. Was that a factor in your choice of saw to purchase?
@@Anikasdiylife per my question above do you have any thoughts about weight and hands that aren't as strong as they used to be? PS great video!
Perfect! The info on rectangular hole cuts is just what I needed.
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I don't use a jigsaw very often because I can't achieve good cuts with it. With your tutorial in mind I'll give it a new try.
I've used a jigsaw for years, but you have shown me new things I didn't know. Thanks so much.

Impressed and subscribed! wondering why you make understanding about tools so easy to use…I watch and follow a few diy CZcams channels but they are all male creators and often they are too technical, expecting everyone to have expensive tools of every type and a fully equipped workshop 😂😂😂 also you don’t see the actual tool details close up; whilst your video is clear, to the point and makes us feel like we can actually do woodwork!! Thank you ❤🙏
Thank you! I'm glad it's helping and reaching you all! Keep building!

Literally just picked up my Jigsaw... slowly put down my Jigsaw to watch video.
Even though I've used one for years the amount of times I've learnt something new, it's always worthwhile to check.
Thanks! I’m about to do an Ikea Billie bookshelf hack an need a saw to cut the trim pieces. This looks like a good option. Definitely looks less intimidating that other saws.
