I’m thankful, this morning I just scored 200 rounds of 9mm for 66 bucks and 2 boxes of 5.56 for 11 bucks and 250 rounds of 22lr aguila for 15 bucks. Not good but not bad...
I agree, I'm not paying a buck a round for 9mm ammo. I'm shooting my single action .22LR more. I've got a lot of .22LR and I go through it at a slower pace with a single action. Thanks for the tip on dry-fire practice.
I bought 5k rounds for 1100 USD in GER 9 months ago. We shoot Groups with different fabricats on a ransom rest to find the best ammo for our guns, then we buy enough for training and competition. Now it looks real cheap. The Price is now 11,00 Euro/50 rounds Fiocchi, if you buy 100*50= 5000 rounds. Bulk discount is the best friend of a shooter.
I seem to be going backwards but if history didn't teach us enough, about 6 more months and change before this video was made, even pellet and bb guns were high on the list of demand along with the ammo for it too. I may have gone down this route thoroughly but it helps having a pellet/bb gun as its ammo is far cheaper than the gunpowder powered stuff. It may not be the BEST stuff for accuracy but it's definitely enough to keep the repetitive practice and attention to detail. I agree, Matt . Great advice. I dry-fire alot and then go live fire when I compete. I works will. I like the MantixX and the Mantis Black Beard. Lot of good laser based dry-fire equipment out there!
No ammo in my area either. The big boxes do not even put any on the shelves any more. I asked an AS rep if I just needed to ask for it and they had none at all (22lr).
I bought close to 1000 rounds this week. Had to wait in 30 min line 3 different days. But... didn’t notice much price difference at bass pro shop. Maybe a buck or 2 a box.
Only place I have bought ammo for the last few months is GB. I try not to pay gouger prices, but I got to do what I need to keep stocked up. But, you have to be careful. There are scammers selling ammo. Most only take a money order or check.
I like using the laser rounds will the free apps available. The 2 I use are laser academy or Strikeman. Give them a try. They will record your shots and help with your dry fire training.
Don't email Federal to complain about the ammo. One of their execs might do another video whining and crying about all the nasty emails they get. Boo-hoo-hoo.
