Rothco jacket report after nearly 10 years. Recently I've had several viewers if I still had my first Rothco jacket. The answer is yes, and here are my observations after nearly 10 years of use.

Using a LaserLyte system for dry fire practice
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed rokem
High ammo prices force us into other ways to practice accuract with firearms. With handguns, I've used the LaserLyte system for nearly a decade. It a form of "dry fire" practice that give you actual feedback. While other systems and options exist, this has worked for me for a long time.
Do you buy a gun or ammo during these inflationary times?

Do you buy a gun or ammo during these inflationary times? Most people have been hit by inflation over the past year, some harder than others. During the times which we're living in, what's a better purchase? A new gun, or ammo?

Dressing to protect yourself from cold outdoor temperatures. During the winter season, many people are outside working, clearing snow, etc. Cold temps along with subzero wind chills is dangerous. Here is how I dress when I'm outdoors in cold temperatures. Please Support this channel: www.patreon.com/personaldefenseandfirearmeducation Save 10% off the purchase of a SIRT trainer! Rothco Jacket year 7 review. I've owned this jacket a long time. It's served me well during its life. My experience with this Rothco jacket is that it's warm and comfortable for the cold weather months. I have had minor issues with the zipper from time to time, but nothing major. For me, this jacket has been a great investment! Please Support this channel: www.patreon.com/personaldefenseandfire...

Replace Snapper riding lawnmower wheel

Titan Tornado SS in a 14 knot direct crosswind.

Titan Tornado SS in a 14 knot direct crosswind. The wind gradient was absolutely insane. From the ground to 1,000 feet AGL, the wind was 34 knots. I've only seen this steep of a wind gradient a few times in my life. The Titan Tornado SS handles it well, but you've got to be on top of it. At times, there was a 90 degree crosswind gusting to 16 knots. An easy landing in a Luscombe 8A, but entirel...

I've been curious about this subject for years. Thank you for confirming my worries, excellent video my man.
great video
does it fall out of your pocket when you sit?
Condition 2 is the not the most favored condition for a M1911A1 but this video takes the safety issues WAAYYY too far. I trained on the M1911A1 as a midshipman at the US Naval Academy, then was trained on the same platform by the USMC at Quantico, followed by 6 years in the IC, again, carrying the M1911A1 rather than the more common high-capacity modern pistols that were more commonly used and favored during that timeframe (1996-2005). The men who trained me were all Korean War and Vietnam War vets, and more than a few discussed Condition 2 as a viable carrying option. I've been carrying and shooting M1911A1 pistols for four decades now. 100% of the time I carry in Condition 1 because that is the way I was trained to carry the M1911A1 and the firearm was designed to be carried in the field. However, I also frequently have the same pistol in Condition 2 (magazine in the pistol, round in the chamber, hammer lowered) when I am at home. Not once in forty years have I had a negligent or accidental discharge. The reality is that almost all modern M1911A1 platforms have a hammer block built into the pistol, and even those without it can be carried or kept ready at home in Condition 2 safely. Carrying a M1911A1 pistol in Condition 2 has been a safe mode of carrying for decades, though it's not favored because in the stress of the moment trying to manually cock the weapon is an additional step that you don't want to deal with when your life is on the line. The riskiest part of Condition 2 is "dropping" the hammer on a live round. First of all, you don't grip the hammer as he's doing here in this video; you grasp it between your forefinger and thumb to get the most secure grip on the hammer. This allows you far greater control of the hammer as it is released (not "dropped") and the hammer spring pushes it down. The primer on a .45ACP cartridge requires a certain degree of force for it to detonate. When the hammer sits all the way forward it cannot produce the required force to detonate the primer. Theoretically, if you dropped the gun in such a manner that the hammer struck he ground in just the right way maybe the hammer could deliver the requisite force to detonate the primer. After many decades of researching the issue, I've yet to find a single documented instance where that in fact has happened. Theoretically it could but as noted above modern hammer blocks prevent that on most modern designed M1911A1 pistols. Never mind the question of why someone would drop his/her loaded pistol. The answer is simple: keep a good grip on your firearm and don't drop it.
Thanks!
modern 1911's wont discharge upon dropping because they have Firing pin safeties. Must depress ALL safety features to fire

CCW works for me.
Thank you! Excellent video! Very educational!
My model 25 I got for Christmas in 1958. It was made in Rogers AR. It stayed in the family for years and a cousin gave it back to me about 20 years ago. I just shot it a few minutes ago.
I've done this and it works great, it's much easier to focus on the front sight and get precise shots on target. But ask your self, why would Glock deliver these sights with the white U-notch if it's that much better without them? Would it not even be cheaper to skip them? I think the answer is getting the sight faster on target, even though they might not be right in the bulls eye. Fast, decent shots is better than slow precise shots, in my opinion.
In New Jersey the lock the but stock so u can’t move it up or in 🤦🏽

That was but one dealer. Whatever his reasoning, I personally know plenty of dealers who favor Kimber. ...and / or hate other makes. I even know of one guy who hates and would not take in a Glock; though I've never met anyone who hates Colt or Browning. Personally, I would be interested in taking in trade either of your offerings.
Incredibly helpful. I took apart. The trigger assembly couldn’t put it back together again. Taking off the handle and safety bar was part of the equation. Thanks for putting this together.
I find your solution to the problem invalid in that it does not recommend a product of some kind. 😁
One of the most worthless videos I have ever seen

Love 1911s I collect them and all colts! Best gun ever 😋💕
I have a langdon tactical beretta 92 compact that I love but so far haven't been able to get comfortable with a belt holster. Anything that puts pressure on my belt also puts pressure on my lower back, so I am searching other options.
Guns are supposed to go bang when the trigger is depressed. Quit modifying guns and simply learn to operate them as designed and this would be a non-issue.
Thanks for the advice. greetings from france
Great job, thank you for your help!
Excelent class
I built a arp a few years back and totally forgot how to do this.. thank you!

You really didn't talk about recoil. You said you would.
I'm so sorry that you're wrong handed
Skip to 1:00 there is your answer.
Horrible idea to find out you have nothing in front of the hammer and it slips from between your fingers. Very much NOT safe
Is this a series seventy gun or does it have any sort of firing pin block safety?
Hoppes No.9is nothing more than varsol, I would never use it on anything but the metal parts of the firearm.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
i was in vietnam on the front lines called the dmz i had a m16 i hade reather the m1 indeed the m16 jam alot, thank you now i get godzilla.
i just bought a ar15-556 a a gun show in tampa icould find the safety button you just show me were it was thank you
I use Wilson Combat and Tripp Research mags with great success with my four Kimbers.
Sorry the Army's original (at least up till 1920) official carry condition for the 1911 was condition 2 ...loaded chamber with the hammer in lowered position...I have carried my 1911's most times in condition 2 for the last 30+ years.....Hoorah
Your Model 25 is probably made between 1952 to 1958 the tinite material they started using in 1952 and they went to Rogers Arkansas in 1958 so the gun was produced sometime between those years
so easy omg, thank you for making it simple
"untoward" well besides the tutorial, I learned something new Thanks
