It basically just means that your system doesn’t noticeably change on macroscopic scales (as in, any changes in the system are only microscopic & can’t be measured on the devices you’re using to measure stuff)
Stars are, on the size scales of the entire star, generally in thermodynamic equilibrium most of their lives
Like, the sun for example isn’t gonna be noticeably different tomorrow than it is today
Of course, if you zoom into the star, it’s a very dynamic & violent place, but it’s pretty much in equilibrium most of its life when just considering the large scales
