MoM explains clear as day why he sends Luxu in UX, during a conversation he was having with a Darkness about the subject. Luxu has the memories, and the Gazing Eye is the medium. What this means is that any time Luxu exists as well as the Keyblade, MoM can travel to that period whenever he pleases. It was all for a waypoint. We even see this hold its own passive payoff when he meets with Young Xehanort, that he then uses to guide Xehanort to become the Dark Seeker.
I am unable to agree with you on this one. KH is and had for the most part always been very big on the past darkness from the past will come to light. this them has been in most if not all the games.
The dude forgets if the foretellers did not exist there would be no "Keyblade war", for Xehanort to take inspiration from. Xehanort researched the lost masters which are the Foreteller "Keyblade Wielders" of the old era. Remember when Kingdom Hearts 2 first dropped people were complaining who are these Random people in black coats "did I miss a game".The same thing will happen with the foretellers in Kingdom Hearts 4.

And to argue even further, xehanort being connected to the master of masters would know a great deal about his keyblade. Knowing this, who else knows about this keyblade? Why would *Braig* even know you can be bequeathed one? And why else would xehanort be so close to him? It was just under your nose, and you probably felt cheated because you feel like the character of luxu “doesn’t match xigbar” when you forget that the master of masters was playful, while also serious, and sly, with luxu being an example of an apprentice imprinting on their master, i mean its all over his character not to mention his numerous body swaps to get through history in one piece, of course they would have to find a way for him to come back. It’s literally written in the book that darkness will prevail and light expire, which it did. Until sora flipped the script. Which makes him vs the foretellers even more interesting assuming luxu WAS the traitor
So... before I watch the video, my spouse had similar complaint's about the overuse of "black coats" and hidden identities. The way I see it, the Foretellers are the next iteration of Organization XIII styled "bad guys," but perhaps with more grey storytelling with the factions within the organization perhaps holding different alignments. But all the narrative flaws with Org. 13 were on full showcase with the Foretellers, hopefully they will be fleshed out well like some of Org. 13 has been.
After watching the video... I've long been assuming that the Foretellers will follow a similar narrative arc as Ansem the Wise and his sis traitorous apprentices, that the Foretellers will tear themselves apart in a manner akin to the Titans, some will be redeemed, some will be consumed by darkness, and some will die. I think the Foretellers exist as stepping stones to build Darkness back up as the main enemy for the final game, that MoM will be the antagonist in KH5 before having an Ansem the Wise style redemption and only have a background support role in the final showdowns in KH6 or KH7, whichever Nomura wants as the final game in the series. Further, I think Maleficent will be amongst the major bosses when the antagonists switch from the Foreteller's lost Light to the Ancient Deadly Darknesses, perhaps she will even be the penultimate boss, leading into the Final Darkness in the final battle
In the beginning, Kingdom Hearts had a level of restraint that it was necessary to have, since the very concept was a bit out of left field. They went with simple but well-executed concepts along a coming of age Hero's Journey that was lovable for fans of Disney and FF alike, as well as many others. At this point in the franchise, the lore is so deep, all over the place, contingent on playing on a unique game platform for nearly every entry of the series (and thus in order to get a *complete* contextual understanding beyond a simple cutscene movie), and in the end it still falls on so many tropes and gimmicks and Gotchas that there's a reason people compare it to fanfiction, because it's frankly an amateur patchwork of implicitly novel and interesting concepts, but it's less than the sum of its parts. As a game, I feel about KH3 like I do about Borderlands 3, in that the gameplay is legitimately the best it's ever been in my opinion (with a few gripes that I'm grateful the modding scene has done a LOT to remedy), but the story is so far down the shitter I consider it functionally unsalvageable save for a soft reboot or something. I don't suspect as much, but I hold a small amount of hope that there'll at least continue to be things I find valuable from the series in the future, at least enough that I choose to keep playing the games.
I think for sure its a wait and see when it comes to the new saga,im personally excited and I do disagree I did enjoy the story for 3 (and overall craziness of the series haha) but it definitely could’ve been better,that being said I’m a newer fan so my opinion could change for sure but right now I’m very much excited to see where this new direction is taking place so hopefully we can enjoy what’s there to offer 😎🙏🏻 btw hope you doing well
Twentyseventhletter , you are on point I totally agree with you, the story of Kingdom Hearts is such a mess at this point of the series, I don't understand how people can just so easily foam at the mouth over the BS, Kingdom Hearts on a story level to me hasn't been good since 1kh through 358 in my personal opinion. Birth by Sleep through 3D were mid at best, with the abysmal kh3 being the absolute worst and clunky of the story.

let's be honest, the only part of the whole foreteller saga that's worth something is the 5 minutes where the MoM explains his backstory. which could have just been a flashback in KH4. and it probably will be anyway.

Honey... you're just complaining about mobile games. Just say that they're not your thing and leave, dont stretch the argument to another whole point just get some 'validity' that you couldn't simply get into the game for whatever reason. There was a pc browser version FOR YEARS before it got ported to mobile game that was accessible for most low-end mobile devices and I know this because I had a trash tablet and ran the game SOMEHOW until the game kept getting updated and demanding for better specs, but that was years of new content later. And even then, there's the option to watch compilations that fans make about the story in CZcams which is especially made for people who aren't into mobile games, *but I guess that's an issue for you too to get into the story I suppose*. A 'me issue' doesn't equal that there's something wrong with said media creative content. It is just a you issue.

Thats with any Kh game. You’d have to do the same with days and coded. Even kh1. Cutscenes ARE kingdom hearts.
