Sora's most iconic mannerism is putting his hands behind his head. If we saw the MoM often doing it too, then maybe I'd buy into that theory. As it is now, I'm considering MoM is hooded simply because Nomura hadn't decided on a final design back when he was introduced.
The funny thing with this theory is that they could do whatever they want to change Sora drastically to fit this narrative, and then in the end it turns out the Master of Masters (Sora) did all this manipulation and orchestration to save his timelines'/universes' Riku and/or Kairi, and the whole fan base would be like "Oh, that makes it all ok and now it all makes sense, such deep and profound storytelling" lol
People do crazy things when they get desperate. So, I could see this playing out. Lol
It's be a nice 'cherry on top' for Sora's story, his story begun by trying to find/save Riku and Kairi and it could end with him as both the protagonist and the antagonist, still just trying to save Riku and Kairi.
That was my theory. Sora lost Riku and Kairi so that's what drove him to become the Master. Now he's trying to correct the timelines or something
So Sora becomes Eren Jaeger.
@@whisperedflame6952 basically hahahaha
I think that I can see Sora and the MOM being connected. Sure. I personally think that they’re a parallel of one another (in a hero and villain reflecting each other kinda way) if I had to make a conclusion from the provided evidence. I’m also on that boat where I don’t really want to see Sora’s character change drastically. Grow? Yes but not become a different person all together.
the master is Goofys heartless confirmed.
Nah, it's just flat out goofy 😅
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
The Goofy from II-Second invasion of Radiant Garden - now is a nobody?!!!!!!
You know, we don't know that the goofy that died from the boulder is the same one that regroups with the team in the 1000 heartless battle. We all just assumed. 🤔 🧐
is the nobody xygoof that was created after the hit he recieved in his head in KH2 and we have been with his heartless
@@ignacioperez5479 his darkness is probably a shadow but we know for a fact his will is stronger than almost everyone's after that ultra instinct block of Riku's Dark Firaga to not betray Sora.
What a twist that would be.
In regards to Demyx being the MoM, a CZcamsr named Nanaki BH has done 2 pretty good videos on how he might be him, referencing things from FF Type-0 and noticing many parallels. It’s the theory I’m most convinced of so far, but I’m still open to anything.
I just watched the videos due to your comment… and just wow 🤯 this CZcamsr has some really interesting obversations 🤓
They already told us who the Master of Masters is.
The Master of Masters is Light.
He told it himself to young xehanort.
If Darkness can be a literal character (in the mobile games) why can't Light?
I always see this as the most ludicrous theory because the Master of Masters does things Sora never would. It doesn't make sense for it to be so popular.
Everyone wants the pure to be corrupted. it's been like this for a long time. People just can't be happy with an innocent character staying that way, the MUST become jaded.
Clearly not everyone. I'm proof of that.
Sora as a child and young adult is pure and innocent but as we grow older.
@@tiquismistica9417 The entire _point_ of Sora's character is that no matter how bad things get, he never lets it change who he is.
Yeah but remember when Yozora tells Sora something along the lines of, "you don't look like Sora" and, "I've come to save sora from himself". That right there confirmed to me that there's at least two Sora's. One from yozora's reality and the other one we play as. But also, pay attention to the master of masters. His face is always hidden, as if the developers don't want us to know who the master is. It's guaranteed to be someone we know, and that's why his face remains hidden. If an alternate Sora from a different reality exists, he may be a different character to the one we play as.
Here's something I just thought of while watching this. There are only two beings who kept their sense of self as a heartless. Xehanort, who intentionally turned himself into one, and Sora, who turned into one by releasing his heart to save Kairi's. So what if the Master of Masters is a sentient heartless, an alternate version of Sora from the rewritten timeline?
So Sora and his friends get got by the shadow storm in the Keyblade Graveyard, leaving Xehanort to succeed in his plan and eradicate the worlds, leaving behind only Darkness to start anew with the Light of Kingdom Hearts. Sora awakens as a heartless, maintaining his sense of self at the rebirth of the universe. Alongside him, the 13 darknesses emerge, entities cumulative of all the heartless left behind by the universe's eradication. Sora later takes the identity of the Master of Masters and tries to stave off the Darkness. Looking to the future to find a path, he instead finds his own past. He begins trying to orchestrate a way to change the future, and prevent the end of the universe, manipulating events behind the scenes to allow himself to rewrite fate in the future.
But let's take it a step further and get real crazy. This takes several loops to work. Each time Light expires, a small fragment of Sora's heart is left behind in the realm of death as he falls to darkness. Because this realm exists outside of the normal flow of time, Sora is able to piece himself back together after hundreds of loops. (Why he had to collect so many copies of himself in KH3, and why he tends to slip into the realm of death in his dreams as part of him is always there). After reviving himself, he's able to save his other friends, and Namine is able to contact Terra's Lingering Will to alter the flow of time for his next attempt. Due to the strength of his revitalized heart, made of the countless fragments that refused to give up on his friends, and with the help of Terra, they were able to come out victorious.
Much like Victorious Sora, MoM Sora is made up of hundreds of Sora's Heartless. Each time he failed, the despair and loss that filled his heart at his end survives as a heartless, and they merge together to form MoM Sora. They come into conflict post-KH3 Because MoM Sora wants to trap the 13 Darknesses in Quadratum, so they can never harm the Realm of Light again, and his friends will always be safe. Victorious Sora can't abide by this, because it's endangering countless innocents.
The story moving forward has themes of mourning and loss, as well as acceptance and perseverance. It shows the different paths one can take after tragedy in stark contrast.
That's a very interesting theory. And it would explain the "Darkness shall prevail and Light expire." From the prophecy.
But we can only speculate. I'm really excited to see what happens next in our story. This is going to be an intense next arc for Kingdom Hearts.
If that is true, recoded could be seen as some kind of foreshadowing, Data Sora's Heartless was evolving in the data, growing stronger and more sentient, until it finally grew strong enough to attack the barrier between data and reality, so what your suggesting similar to that with the Master Of Masters, minus the data part of course.
@@peterparker-wu3io I knew Coded was important.
It always was.@@darkfire1408
I've heard that theory, but the problem with it is that MoM can still use a keyblade. Heck, he's even able to summon other people's keyblades out of their own hands (as he did with Xehanort in Dark Road). So far in the KH series, heartless are supposed to be unable to wield real keyblades. Due to being hearts that have lost all traces of their light. That was the case with Ansem, where his keyblade was swallowed by darkness for over a decade until Master Xehanort was recompleted. Even Xemnas couldn't use it. The only way that Ansem was able to wield a keyblade as a heartless was by possessing Riku and using his heart as an "intermediary" of sorts.
It's also implied that the Darklings from Union X are "sentient" heartless similar to Sora and Ansem. They're even capable of basic speech, similar to Data Sora's Heartless. The requirement for retaining your mind as a heartless is that you willingly became one, which both Sora and Ansem did. The dialog in UX indicates this was also the case for the UX Darklings.
I do still accept the strong possibility that MoM is some kind of "time remnant" Soa from a failed timeline where he lost to Xehanort. It's a popular trope, and KH is an incredibly tropey series. A similar concept was also used in another KH-adjacent game that Nomura was heavily involved in (TWEWY Neo). But if the "heartless can't wield keyblades" rule still applies to MoM, i'm not sure he's one of them specifically. Unless he's a special being that the rules don't apply to.
Of course, it's plausible that MoM may be doing something similar to what Ansem did with Riku, possessing another person's heart and body as a means to circumvent the keyblade rule. I have my own suspicions about Yozora possibly being involved with the MoM. The heterochromia of his eyes is already sus enough as it is, but Nameless Star also told Sora that "he's been changed beyond recognition, his heart replaced with another's". Yozora himself reiterates this and states that he's not in his original body, being shocked that Sora recognized him in that form. To compound matters further, Yozora is also shocked at Sora's appearance when he introduces himself, even accusing him of not actually being Sora. Indicating that he had some sort of prior contradictory knowledge of what Sora SHOULD look like. I wonder if MoM stole Yozora's original body and possibly his heart, and perhaps the Yozora we meet and fight is some sort of Lingering Will or something...
The moment I saw the Gazing Eye glitch for the first time, I knew right there Sora and the Master had to be connected. There is simply no way that glitch, which only occurs during the date battle of the one dude who actually met MoM, is any way an accident.
I’m not entirely sold yet that Sora and the Master of Masters are the same person but I am 100% convinced that the two men are have a deeper connection than almost any other character in Kingdom Hearts.
I can be invested in that.
So you're saying that the evidence is a phenomenon that was not intended to happen?🤔
You say that, but the glitch is still just that. A glitch
Was thinking it’s at least roxas i feel as if there’s parallels between the gazing eye and the blue pearl from the struggle trophy as colors hold a meaning in kh. Like soras fit from kh1 had every color for each form on him. And blue is mostly a symbol for either sora and roxas and since the gazing eye is one of moms actual eyes and nobody else really has blue eyes I think it has to be either of them. Time travel has to be involved one way or another anyways
The Master Of Masters is Sora's ancestor. Theory confirmed. 😂
the thing about sora's eyes during the young xehanort fight is…like, how insane do people think nomura's team is to put a hint in what looks like a glitch in every conceivable measure? kjfklsdfjsldf
to me the idea of sora being the master of masters is possibly one of the worst possibilities. it would ruin the point of sora as a protagonist, being a character devoid of any inborn/destined role who still achieves great things through his ability to connect to other people. making him the fulcrum of some giant stable time loop would just ruin that completely.
soras eyes can be explained by the inverse texture being glitched as its applied to the whites of his eye while young x does that time magic attack.
I'm jealous of those who never got into the KH story. They don't suffer the same headaches as us 🤣🤣🤣😒
Sora being the Master of Masters is cliche and disappointing. I believe Nomura would not do this.
I REALLY hope you're right
I got the feeling Sora's blue eyes could secretly be the Gazing eyes Master of Masters have allowing him to see everything and know all about Sora, his friends, their powers and ability's, everyone he has interacted with and so on. There is still more we don't know about what makes Sora special and hopefully master the X~blade Xehanort gave to him. I want to see Master of Masters and Sora meet. It's all just a theory and knowing Nomura he could be planning something we not know yet for Phase II.
Sora becoming the MoM kinda sounds like how Eren ended up in AoT. From a utopian to a man who sank into depression reaaaally fast.
The master is trying to bring back the person who was shattered by darkness…
I was like, if MoM is trying to restore someone, who would Sora be trying to bring back?
The fact that I have an answer is a little unsettling. 😂
Die the hero or become the villain as it were.
There's even the scene with Xion pulling her Org coat down, releasing Sora's face.
Demnyx wasn't really evil. He was more of a poetic joker.
I can't even begin to understand why Sora has to be connected to the master. I mean, the hole appeal of our little boy is that he is just a good boy who was in the wrong place in the worst time and smiles nonetheless. Sora being tied to MoM would be the worst disappointment in the series ever
Agreed.
Nah, that is taken by how KH3 was handled being 18-20 hours of pure filler trying to find the power you had all along.
Nah.. I never understand why people feel this way. Kingdom hearts is a game that established that one person being another isn't a big deal. It's not even the first time we established different versions of sora.. sora can mom and be a completely different character. Sora not being mom makes less sense than him being it. The question isn't who.. it's how and why.
Bro he ain’t been regular since birth by sleep maybe even earlier
@@Buglin_Burger7878my biggest gripe with kh3
As compelling as some of this stuff is, I gotta say the data battle glitch shouldn't even be considered as any form of evidence at all. Its just a texturing glitch happening likely as a result of the sepia tone effect that goes off during that move
EDIT: Decided to hop in and try to repro it, and its absolutely the result of overlapping shaders in conjunction with a warping skybox effect that occurs at the edge of the arena during that move. Simply an extremely unfortunate bug that in any other game wouldn't be thought twice about but decided to happen in KH of all series'
Sora being the Master could work, and if it is true I trust Nomura to write a really good explanation.
But seeing how the Master is a survivor of seeing the apocalypse I'd say Sora is on some kind of revenge mission against darkness for taking away a version of Riku and Kairi that were also different than the original Riku and Kairi
sora wont be the MoM, ppl just want to see optimistic heroes get corrupt
My brother is a big kh fan and he has this gag-theory (for fun, not based on anything really) that Donald Duck is the ultimate keyblade master. And he tried asking for a keyblade to fight with and telling us he's a master, but nobody could understand him 😂
The master is not the sora we all know. The master is a sora who went through a very similar experience except he had to do it all by himself without his friends or the MoM version of sora shares the same story up until the darkness tornado where all of soras friends die and he is left all alone.
Can't wait for the Master of Masters to be defeated by a stern talking to from his childhood friend who cheats at chess, the ultimate narrative foil
I wonder if Soras eyes have real time reflections. Might debunk the eye color change during the YX data battle
Or the fact that it's a glitch😂 which is unintentional by definition
@@whatwecalllife7034 It may be a glitch but you do have to question why it happens in the first place? If this theory is true, then a very easy way that this could be happening is that the developers knew that Sora was meant to be MoM ahead of time and so gave him eyes that look similar to the Gazing Eye and just added some stuff on top of it and the glitch just removes the additions to his eyes for a brief moment.
@@lukasruston8618 or it could just be a glitch regarding the materials of his eyes getting the effect applied incorrectly. if it were intentional in any capacity I don't think it would reset that suddenly. maybe if it faded away quickly but the sharpness of it looks like just a bug.
@@lukasruston8618 You mean why does *any* glitch in *any* game occur if it's not intentional?
Why do things always have to be intentional and not just some funky coding or weird interaction between various sfx?
@@whatwecalllife7034 There's always a reason why glitches happen, unintentional or not, my explanation would still fall under the unintentional side and besides, I'm saying that it IS the reason it's happening, I'm just saying it's a possibility
Awesome Video :) Of The Theory Of Sora Being MoM By His Goofiness Side And His Body Gestures, I Always Thought That Yozora And Riku Are The Same In A Way With The Multi Similarities From Clothing, Gestures And Personality :)
Honestly… “Who Knows, anyone could end up” being that Master of masters guy.
Including me.
or me
@@ProdigyxCD the joke was that haha my channel name is Sora so i’m pretending to be him.
I too prefer the Master paralleling Sora, just like Yozora rather than being a future incarnation of Sora. However, I could see an alternative too, an...other Dimension Sora. Perhaps people have mirror versions of themselves in Quadratum for example; the mirror doesn't need to be exactly the same or even physically look the same. Just have similar life events, which those can drastically warp/skew a character when dealing with timelines/worldlines by itself. Funky thought~ Also in case you missed my community post comment, I used your Epic Store Creator code. Can't wait to do the Kairi Mod and re-play KH3. Thanks ^^/
I Hope This is not True I want the Master OF Masters as his own Original Character.
*sees Gazing Eye glitch*
Inb4 MoM is Sora's dad and is in need of a new vessel along with the x-blade that Sora still has.
wasn't Kingdom Hearts 4 theme about family? so maybe you are right that MOM it could be his dad or someone relate to him
I kinda hope this theory is true cause the idea of Xehanort thinking he's the one manipulating Sora while being manipulated by Sora is too funny.
I think the Master of Masters being a 'Bad End' Sora trying to fix the past would be kind of cool. His story being one of trial and error over various time loops, making Sora and his friends stronger over each one, finally having them be strong enough to overcome whatever it is that he couldn't. That might be a fun story to explore.
It would be cool if the crown necklace sora wears is his medium and obviously he has friends to remember him so what if sora used a pod if there's one in quadratum to get him back. Plus the only way the master can be sora is if we are the crown necklace or a symbol of the crown somewhere on the masters clothing.
What if they make the Master Vanitas for more confusion wouldn't be the first time a character had a midlife crisis and darkness destroying darkness is a possibility for this franchise. The master also could just be a random npc secretly watching everything we did since the first game.
My take:
In MoMemory, Kairi fades into Sora
What if... Kairi is MoM, using Sora's body (like we see with Xion with Sora's visage in Days).
KH1 Secret Place had the star CROSSED lovers picture.
Just throwing stuff out there.
Seeing how dissonant and seemingly random MoM can be, maybe that IS because MoM is simply several people - hearts - working simultaneously.
The KH1 Emblem Heartless symbol kinda frames this, in a sense.
Also, the Light can be seen as arrogant; even condescending while thinking themselves virtuos (quote YX).
In my opinion, Kairi is a ticking bomb (due to her own struggles and sidelining).
Kairi: "I want to be together with Sora, no matter what, in any way possible. ALWAYS"
Taken to the extreme.
We've already seen this with ASoD and Riku in KH1, when Riku managed to hold him back for a moment.
A collective consciousness, a Legion, of Darkness.
A collective Light, like a black hole?
And... what if the 20 pieces were brought together again, to be 1 one single entity?
Your thoughts?
I don't mind the Sora is MoM theories, but I don't necessarily mind when an antagonistic is an alternate timeline version of the character. Maybe in his timeline it was Sora and not Riku who embraced the darkness in destiny island, or that in his timeline Xehanort wasn't this big bad and that MoMs big plan was to change history with the Power of Waking and instead of tracing his heart to his friends, he traced it like back to an ancestor.
I want to believe that MoM is Sora from an alternate universe who failed to go back in time and restore his friends hearts.
He went crazy.
In ff13 lightning returns. there’s a character named Lumina.
When Lightning awoke from crystal stasis Bhunivelze purged Serah's heart and soul from Lightning, damaging Lightning's own heart in the process, making her appear emotionless. Lightning's suppressed feelings and vulnerabilities, which had now been removed from her, used the Chaos to manifest a physical form: Lumina. As a part of Lightning, Lumina became a vessel for Serah's heart to safeguard her from the Chaos”
If KH is truly gonna use FNC lore then MoM could be Soras equivalent to Lumina
I already hate stories that 180° into "well the good guy is actually the bad guy from the past" or "good guy was actually a descendent/reincarnation of bad guy this whole time" I'd hate for KH to go any of those routes.
“I cold say my name is jack or Theodore but that wouldn’t make sense “
Jack is also the character from final fantasy zero. Looks similar to dimX
A Fragmentary Passage happens at the end of Birth By Sleep, 10 years later, since its Aqua in the Realm Of Darkness, and also at the end of the 1st Kingdom Hearts, since Mickey and Aqua see Riku running to close the Door To Darkness. But also doesn't the whole story start basically after Dream Drop Distance; since Riku is in the clothing he wore in DDD real world, the game opens up with Kairi Mickey and Riku are in Master Yen Sids Tower . With Kairi showing up at the end of Dream Drop Distance's Secret Ending, and finishing with Riku and Mickey leaving for the Realm Of Darkness, with their KH3 uniforms in cases. And then the scene next is the Sora scene from the end of Dream Drop Distance. With Sora coming back from the Dream Worlds Traverse Town to see the Spirit Dream Eaters, and Donald asking where he's been and Sora says secret. And then next is the small scene for Kingdom hearts 3, with them opening a Gate and heading to Olympus Coliseum.
Has to be sora. An older mature version of sora that lost it all
What everyone seems to dismiss very easily is that MoM uses goofyness condescendingly and don't see the parallel to Sora. Yes Sora has genuine childlike wonder. But in some dystopian future, wouldn't you use deception to your advantage? I.e Tobi in Naruto. Make yourself the red herring. And everyone will think you're a goof
I have a theory the Lost Masters AKA the former Union Leaders, are the future adult versions of Sora’s friends or perhaps descendants of theirs. A few of the Master sounds similar to our favorite characters. Ira sounds a lot like Ven or Roxas, Ava sounds like Kiari or Xion, Invi sounds like Namine, Gula sounds like Riku.
Yeah I think the Master of Masters is a LOT more erratic. You could even say he's gone mad. The music associated with him used in this video (originally in KH: x) HEAVILY implies that.
I bet the Master is basically Sora combined with Vanitas
No wonder why The Master is so chill about stuff. He knows what’s gonna happen.
Soras got multiple versions of him everywhere in the games I would be surprised if he wasn’t the Master of Masters. I mean he acts exactly like Sora except a bit more insane.😂 Anyway that’d be sick
Isn't the whole point of Sora's character that he is a normal, dull, ordinary boy? Knowing how much Nomura has continually stressed this throughout the series, I doubt that he would make Sora the secret identity of someone as enigmatic and important as the MOM. It just doesn't make sense.
Dull ordinary boys don't house multiple hearts in them regularly, have an strong connection to light, revive everyone, or fight 1,000s of Heartless alone.
If he was a dull ordinary boy then he should've died a long time ago.
What do you mean it doesn't make sense? That's a fairly ignorant statement.
What even makes sense in kingdom hearts?
The whole point is how over time we learn the truth that's been sprinkled throughout time.
Time, which Sora the most important character has the ability to manipulate.
Sora. The character that's connected to every character in the series.
You mean to say "I don't WANT to theorize connections that Sora is the MoM."
Rather than "it doesn't make sense," as there's a genuine possibility it could be Sora or someone Linked to Sora.
(But if you know what makes sense and doesn't make sense, I challenge you to share what you believe is the objective truth and who the actual MoM is. It's easy to complain. It's hard to actually think and add to the collective contribution speculating what actually is the truth that "makes sense" )
It is definitely up there as a theory i thought it could be true at one point
MoM is clearly Tetsuya Nomura.
I like the theories that states Sora is either the Master of Masters, a reincarnation or an alternate timeline version of him since it makes both of them more interesting as characters especially if we get a prequel Game someday of the Master’s origins but that’s just my personal opinion/wish
The masters of masters is the reason I know about kingdom hearts. His character was fantastic, caught my attention
The only reason for us not to know that identity is the masters of masters after like 16 games is if it's someone we know very very well. Basically it only makes sense not to reveal who it is unless it's sora or a parent. Like Star wars Vader
It may be a stretch but something just tell me ephemer is the master of masters it would make the most sense he experienced war and the true 13 darkness in a short time and still kept a cheerful goofy side.
This probably wasnt thought from the start when they were making kh1, but it'd be a cool twist to see sora actually being the master. I highly doubt it though, voices don't match, personalities don't match, objectives don't match, sora would never do what the master has done to X people, etc. But still would be cool!
Would be VERY funny if the master was demyx though lmao. And about the animations similarities... they're probably just being reused, it's a common thing, you don't make an unique animation for every single cutscene ever. Also 6:20 that's just a bug, cm'on.
It is easy to say "Someone never would" but you also have to remember horrible things can happen.
A common story telling idea is the person who sees only good ends up suffering constantly and being punished for being good so much that when they have to choose to be Selfish or Die it breaks them into being worse.
Everyone breaks under consistent repeating pressure.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 yeah but i don't know... Sora seems consistent through the games, he has his own personality and ideals, he's no mastermind like the master is being portrayed as.
I don't think MoM is sora, because as seen in union x, he leaves all the work to his apprentices, and made poor Luxu go through centuries of stuff. I don't think this is something Sora would do
If he is Sora, i’m sure he’s gonna be a Sora from a different world line. A Sora that stuck only with light to the bitter end that completely rejects the role of darkness in the world. It’s pretty clear that the Trajectory of Soras character is sending him to get in touch with the darkness more, and the MoM being the foil of that is pretty great, and I don’t even mind him literally being Sora
its such a Nomura twist. Convolution for convolutions sake
With the eye and the key blade.it’s the keychain that changes the blade and we have to look at the charm at the end
Watch it be that no matter how strong he got.. kairi still dies and he js reviewing timelines to figure out a way to save her lol
Keeping a reveal this long will only pay off if it's someone we know. It has to be sora because we know him the longest from a story telling standpoint. It's really kind of common sense
I wonder that people come to that conclusion even while we had the finale of Dark Road from where players can come to the theory that master Odin is or was the master of masters because he carried all the keyblades that the master also did and he knew some special features of them and he also studied the darkness and so on.....
I think you're right about if Sora is the Master of Masters, he would be a separate entity of Sora (same character, different life route). When we see the main world in KH4, it's realistic, dark and unlike anything Sora has known. The realities he faces in KH4 could potentially break him and lure him to darkness or a darker path that desperately wants to undo or repair the life he once knew. The problem is, once you try to undo the past and mess with time travel - you get a big complicated mess (hence the current situation). However, I don't think this is meant to be an "all is lost - our hero is gone" scenario, but a metaphor to what can happen to us when we become adults and have to constantly face a darker reality. There is light to be found in life, but you gotta fight through darkness to find it. And what I think might end up saving Sora (in this pretend scenario) is not just facing off against himself, but all those whom he's helped - helping him along the way. Kinda like how friendships can help us in our darkest moments. Idk man, but I'm ready to be wrong lol
I still think the MOM is light. Remember that the so called 'Dark seekers' saga is over with the end of KH3. KH4 going forward seems to be focued on the Light seekers as the antagonists or rather, what they percieve the Light to be. We have already seen first hand with wielders such as Eraqus that striving to go by the Light alone and choosing to completely denounce the Darkness comes with it's own problems and morality issues. It therefore adds up that the MOM, being the personification of Light whom is trying to defeat the darkness would be the newest antagonist.
Nice video as usual but... When do you think we will get news for the next game? And what about missing link? We are running very dry these days for KH news and honestly I am getting tired of discussing over and over the same topics and theories. I hope SE realizes we need something and we need it soon. :/
Apart from this I agree with you, Sora being the master would be a change too big in his personality and I would not like it at all.
It's possible that sora isn't the master but due to how much he has gone though, he developed similar powers. It would explain why sora's eye changes to become similar to the eye of the beholder. That eye allowed the master to see the future. Soras eye changes in a similar way when he uses his time powers. If the eye of the beholder is a spell that allows one to see the futures, than it would make sense that The eye's appears when time based magic is used. Sora probably has the ability to replace the master of master if he learned to profect these time powers but he isn't the original master.
I cant wait for Mewtwo Y. This is the version I've wanted to play
I think it might be Demyx’s human form given how over dramatic their body language is. I even have two names for him: Dyme or Emyd. 😅
"MoM is Sora" "MoM is Demyx" "MoM is Goofy" You're *ALL* wrong.
Obviously MoM is Nomura and the box contains Walt Disney's frozen head. /s
But for real though, according to the canon laws of time travel, its impossible for MoM to be Sora (or anyone who time traveled BACK rather than him time traveling FORWARD (in the case of Demyx))
In order to travel back through time, you need a medium to reconstruct your body and either a past version of yourself or more necessarily someone with memories of you, and logically speaking, you'd be unable to travel back to before you were born...
if it weren't for a prophetic book detailing the future which dropped projections in the form of fragments/medals (Chi/UX respectively), which were then used by countless keyblade wielders of the past.
The book itself and now those keyblade wielders have the necessary memories.
The problem is that no one whose original time was from the future (our present) would be able to be MoM, as MoM was a prerequisite for the future being seen, the book being written, those memories being there in the first place.
No one would have the necessary memory component for Sora to travel back without the MoM already existing in that time without him.
(It would also be weird for Sora to look at Young Xehanort who he fought and not be like "oh this guy, fuck this guy." Like i don't see any recognition from MoM in their interactions.)
Sora already has a nobody and vanitas is also like a dark Sora. If there is another Sora, it would be kind of boring....
My take is MoM isn't the Sora we know but another timeline's version of him. I think in MoM Sora's timeline he was the only one to survive and he wasn't able to bring his friends back like our Sora did in KH3. He wakes up in a new world/reality where Xehanort was successful and we find out it basically caused a hard reset on the universe in a sense. So everything began again and the only thing left from his old world/reality is himself and Xehanort's Keyblade but the eye from it is gone. He eventually figures out that the universe had began again and wanted to know if there was a way to save his friends this time in the future of this new timeline. So he eventually came up with the idea of putting his eye and and getting Luxu to pass the keyblade down knowing it'd work not only because he could see the future now because of it but also because he knew the keyblade in his time had the eye too. So Sora puts one of his eyes into the Keyblade passes it on and everything we know would eventually come to pass. But Sora realizes even though he'd succeed this time in saving his friends, darkness would just keep coming back over and over again. So he made the plan to irradicate darkness for good and used his students as pawns to eliminate the pieces of darkness. Lured the last parts of it, which one was in him and another in Luxu, to Quadratum where he knew darkness wouldn't be able to escape from and planned to have Sora beat him, and Luxu for good this time finally defeating Darkness for good. And even if he failed then at least Darkness would be trapped on that side of reality away from the "real" reality. This is why he went to Xehanort when he was young so that he could set everything in motion so that Sora would save his friends this time but in turn it's get him banished to Quadratum where MoM Sora wants him.
I think Sora is the Master of Masters, but perhaps a body snatched version of him or an alternative timeline of him. It would explain some of the more devious motives he has.
Also, there's still more of this series to come, in that time - assuming this is an older Sora - there is time for events to take place that may justify him as an antagonist, but the conclusion would essentially lead the main character Sora to chose between maybe the power to save his friends at the cost of being Mom, or breaking the circle and accepting fate, perhaps at the expense of his own life.
Counter-Argument: The Master of Masters admits to having a master. Sora does not have a master. Sure he has Merlin helping him with magic, and Yen Sid/Mickey popping in to give him guidance on where to go and what to do, but none of them teach him one lick on how to wield his keyblade.
Sora is The Master Of Master’s 100%
Way I see it is if Sora is the master Masters he's probably from a branch timeline that he failed to bring back Riku who felt to darkness so with the power of waking he went back in time but overshot it by a lot the longest travels he came across the book of proficiencies. Or it's sora's father hence the similar mannerisms between them or even it is demyx but I think if lexerd is basically equivalent to gladius in ff15 then demyx is equivalent to Prompto from 15
Starting to think it’s at least roxas all grown up some of the parallels between the blue eye and the pearl off the struggle trophy kinda screams roxas as the mom
Sorra was possibly born because the universe is against the plans of the MoM. So its possible that Sorra and MoM are opposite entities
After the reveal that the guardian was terra im convinced that they will just go with whatever the most poular theories are.
Thanks
I'm more inclined to believe that the MoM is an alternate or time travelling Luxu.
There was a line in KH3 that got me 100% convinced. "There's a high price to pay for wielding such power foolishly". What if Sora lost parts of himself each time he misused the power of waking and that's how he ends up being the Master of Masters?
the high price to pay is pretty obviously foreshadowing sora not returning to destiny islands at the end of the game
I think it's a red herring, obviously the similarities between MoM and Sora are impossible to miss and I do suspect there is some kind of relationship between the 2, but I doubt they're the same person. Nomura would undoubtedly answer us in a way that just invites a million more questions though.
If Sora really is the MoM then its most likely a version of Sora that has lost well everything. Which would explain his nihilistic personality.
I don't think they're totally crazy anymore but I still doubt they're going to do it and I don't really want it to be a thing either it takes away from the master to me.
5:20 if ur going hy the colour of the eye of the keyblade then by that sense kairi is the master her eyes are the exact same colour
Kingdom hearts 4 seems like a psychosis episode for sora bruh. He loses touch with his true reality and find out he’s been sighted by an entity which could possibly be himself . in that state your true enemy is your self
Have anyone thought that the MoM could be Sora's dad? This is a stretch but Sora's name mean sky, sky in greek means Uranos, the spiritual heaven... If the MoM name have something to do with gaia... being Uranos dad... Gaia use a kanji that means harmony, peace, enjoyment, calmness that are traits that you can see in MoM...
Sora lost his mom, so he became one. also. You die the hero or live long enough to become the villain.
Master of master is that kid who said he'd open kingdom hearts in dark road
I'm still on the thought that Sora is the second reincarnation of the player character from X/soon to be missing link. The main evidence being a statement from nomura that Sora would always be the main protag/playable character (not counting side games like bbs and days). And it's odd that, except for the medals in X, Sora isn't even mentioned. The second piece of evidence is the Ephemer and ancient keybladers rescue scene. We still have no explanation of why it happened, but Ephemer rescuing his old friend is certainly a possibility. Then the third piece of evidence, Xehanort himself, and his relationship with the player character. In the final battle in KH3, Xehanort tells Sora he reminds him of an old friend after being told a real leader knows destiny is beyond their control. Now, that line was more probably in reference to Eraqus, but nomura has twisted small lines like that before, aka Luxu/Xigbar, so Sroa reminding Xehanort of the one that cared for him on the Destiny Islands would not be out of the realm of possibility.
I can imagine them doing a Tobi (from Naruto) and having the goofiest member of the organization being the real brain behind everything. So yeah, Demyx would be MoM.
I wouldn't say this is the most popular, but its a widespread and common theory.
What Theory do you think is more Popular?
@@ProdigyxCD That is a good question and I don't know the answer off the top of head. When I think of a popular theory, I think common accepted as true. Maybe it comes as a difference of the way I define true.
@ProdigyxCD Demyx is the master is the master of masters lol, or ava is kairi grandmother
Sora being the MoM would be thrilling!!! Imagine:
Sora, in the future, gets overwhelmed by darkness after leaving Kairi and his other friends. In KH3, we see that Sora has more control over his darkness (Anti/Rage Form), so it would be understandable that Sora taps himself to pure darkness to save himself, but then...... he can't go back to the light. All his fighting, looking for adventures and excitement, coming to an end with darkness.
That's why it would be past Sora's job to defeat his future self by bringing him back to the light, possibly changing Sora's timeline.
As the MoM takes off his hood, we then see Sora with an older looking face, small brown beard, longer hair going down his back, and blue eyes. ❤😊 I can just feel it... his future self forgives his past.
I don't know why I thought it was confirmed Braig (Xigbar) is the Master of Masters? I don't remember KH3 so well to be honest and haven't played the mobile game.
I personally love the Sora being the master of masters because he is the biggest example of the "fallacy of being a hero".
If you are truly the hero. You are always to busy saving everyone and everything but yourself. This rings most true for Sora in every game.
Every win he has has begotten something to be lost.
Turning into a heartless in KH1.
Losing his memories in COM
Failing the mastery exam in 3D.
Finally losing his existence in 3.
That is the perfect plight of a flawed hero and preaches that he never truly heeded the lesson he was supposed to learn. The further he goes down this slope. The bigger the loss.
Leading to that point where he becomes the MoM
He also went to the Kingdom hearts equivalent of hell in II but was saved by the real hero of the series. Kairi. How dare they make her so powerful literally reshaped entire galaxies with her mind at the end of the first game and then she's landing haymakers on Xehanort in Remind. Damn you Nomura. LET US PLAY A GAME AS HER!!!!!
Sora is the master of my heart. I love him.
I think it would be a good reason to have Sora being the MoM, but the end of the series shows that our Sora sees this as a wrong decision and he chooses his friends’ lives over his own personal feelings about how the world should be. I will flesh it out more if anyone wishes for a better explanation.
It’s definitely a character we already know bcuz if it wasn’t someone we know they wouldn’t hide the masters name when he says his name is_____
I think the first thing is to know is if the master of masters actually came from the future. If not then we can rule Sora out.
