Y'know, a buddy and I had a running joke that the secret to solving Kingdom Hearts lore would be in Type-0 because no one played it... I hate that I love this.
I got to almost the final boss before realizing I was severely under leveled and was not allowed to go back and grind more experience. Understanding that I had to load up a much much much older save in order to fight through as many enemies as possible to get that EXP made me stop playing.
@@sephandremanticore5438 Oh no... You didn't have to do that. Even if everyone gets knocked out in the final dungeon, the game will let you keep going. You also can't lose against the final boss. Pandaemonium is designed in a way so that you can never fail. The enemies there also scale with your level, so leveling up more actually makes them harder.

I was iffy on this whole thing until I saw the similarities between the characters of Type 0 and Demyx/The Foretellers. That rendering thing and how they all match the personalities of the other characters CANNOT be a coincidence. This is honestly huge. This could be another “Terra was the guardian” theory where years later we can look back at this vid and marvel. Even if nothing comes of it, its clear Nomura wanted to maybe expand the characters he created for type 0 into a more widely known/popular game as kingdom hearts and maybe made his new characters like those ones to re introduce them to a wider audience. THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!! Props to you for noticing it. My mind is sufficiently blown lol. I did always wonder what the point of hiding the foreteller’s faces was, and I was almost convinced it was just a fun character design. Holy crapoli. I feel like i just got a new kh trailer lol.
Just started playing Type-0 because of this video! Once thing i've noticed already 2 hours in, a certain phrase "May the crystal guide you", doesn't it sound very similar to "May your heart be your guiding key" 😏
I'm so happy you decided to give it a try! I think that phrase is important, too. In the early stages, they referred to Agito XIII as the "Guidance Myth." It would seem that being "guided" was always relevant to the theme of the story. (I was so excited when I found that out. lol) I hope you enjoy the game!
@El Elyon Shaddai they used some variations on that in the older games, yes. But for post FF7 in the main numbered series, they dropped a lot of the major connections to All-Powerful Crystals. SquareEnix was making an attempt to bring that back with the Fabula Nova Crystalis line of games.... but, well.... we all know how Fabula Nova Crystalis ended up.
As the one person who was more interested in Agito than Versus during those initial trailers, the moment you showed that window from Type-0 I instantly went "Oh god not again. I just recovered from that bloodbath." Can't wait for Nomura to do justice to the FNC project using Kingdom Hearts.

I recently found out that Nomura was the one who created the idea of Fabula Nova crystallis, in a rare announcement video of the 3 games (Vs, XIII& T0) he is announced as the creator of the thing. this made me understand better why we are probably having references to FNC now in KH beyond Versus
I'm pretty sure the Master explicitly cited the name "Jack" around the ending of the mobile games. He said his name could be Theodore or Jack as a joke, or something like that. That, and if I'm not mistaken, we knew that Demyx would make an appearance of some sort in the mobile games but.. he was.. nowhere to be seen. o:
In Japanese, he says Jack and Taro, which are names commonly used for the main characters in fairytales! The fact that he said "Jack" really made me lose it. lol I think they went with Jack and Theodore in the English version because they must've been thinking of Jack Garland and Golbez, whose real name is Theodore.
I only see 2 small problems with this amazing theory 1. You forgot that Braig/Xigbar also has to represent Joker, not just Luxu, because we don't really know how long Luxu was Xigbar. 2. MoM hadn't actually ceased to exist, he can be seen talking to Xehanort 75 years ago in re-mind. Demyx was recruited to the organization as a regular member at a point when members like Axel were being tasked to go out and recruit, and Xemnas had to check he was a nobody with no heart for his plan. Plus none of the Norts or Xigbar/Luxu recognized Demyx as being MoM I'm on board with Demyx's original body was probably some kind of copy of MoM, but he's not MoM himself. Amazing theory, I do need to play type-0 at some point.
Demyx can still be MoM's nobody. MoM is the somebody. Like Xemnas to Ansem. Even if it's not Nobody Demyx, it still makes the theory basically true considering how Nobody's are pretty much direct reflections of their "somebody". Idk if Nort's or Xigbar/Luxu *would* recognize MoM's nobody because they don't know MoM's true identity either?
THIS WAS AN AMAAZING VIDEO It brought up so many interesting points. If you are right and the type-0 characters ARE the foretellers/MoM then it just makes me wonder what ties other type-0 characters have to the KH plot like Ace or King for example. The fact their renders are very similar too makes me feel even more like this is a pretty strong theory... I was of the opinion that MoM is in the same role of Class-0’s “Mother” Arecia, but this video gave me a thought… Class 0 are mirrors of the 13 Darknesses, or at least the vessels meant to contain them such as the Foretellers
I've had a similar thought! One piece of content that got cut (sort of) from Type-0 were dark versions of Class Zero that you were supposed to fight inside the Nox Suzaku. In Japanese, its name is actually "Suzaku's Darkness." The models of them look a little similar to how Dark Aqua looks. They're actually still in the battle with the Nox Suzaku, but they were made invisible for some reason. An interview in the artbook states that the Nox Suzaku was CREATED BY Class Zero when they were fighting and stealing phantoma. Makes you wonder what those dark versions were supposed to be... Possibly Class Zero's own darkness...? It feels so similar, it just wouldn't surprise me if that's where Nomura got the idea.
@@flagfighter Nox is latin for Night, so the english versions meaning isn't that different. Particularly not with how Nomura is using the Night Sky to contrast the Final World's Dream(Day?) and Death(Night?) versions. Nomura really loves his flowery usage of latin. Though it is particularly interesting that the Phantoma Class 0 harvested is only the light half of the soul, and the Nox Suzaku held the dark half. The chaos of the soul split in twain, much like how in FF13lr the "savior" Lightning only harvested the darkness in souls leaving them pure and full of light for Bhuni to make use of. Phantoma is made of Light while Eradia is made of Darkness

Wow this is incredible. The Clock-tower design is definitely not a coincidence since it is literally the same. Also, having read one of your responses about the name of the world of type-0 meaning daybreak, blew my mind. What is nomura plotting with including this crazy type-0 reference. I played a bit of the game years ago, but did not finish it, don't remember why tho.
You should give it another try! There are so many things in Type-0 that feel potentially relevant to KH. Here's another really fun one for you: Qun'mi, a White Tiger l'Cie, wears an ornate tiger mask that looks very similar to the masks worn by the Foretellers. Every l'Cie is given a Focus that they must carry out. In Japanese, the word for Focus is "shimei", which is the same word the Foretellers use for their "roles."
HHHHHHHOLY SHIT. I LOVE Type-0 and have played it to death and I NEVER noticed that damn window!!! Well spotted! I started playing FF14 last year and noticed that all of the main casts (apart from Rem and Machina) hairstyles are available for your character. It felt like such a weird shoutout- all the other references to other FFs were cameos or mentions of side-characters, or a remix of a music track or something. All the other wearable references to other FFs are reserved for very recognisable characters from mainline games; job gear that can be traced back to multiple mainline FFs, and the outfits of Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, and Yuna wear. It just felt weirdly special that our shoutout to Type-0, a spinoff that nobody played, was ALL of Class 0s hairstyles. And I didn't realise how much of an underdog that game was until I realised that only a handful of other people got the reference! There's probably no connection (I don't even think there's any notable overlap in the teams that worked on Type-0, KH, and FF14?) but it feels like someone in Square has a soft spot for Type-0 and really wants us to look in it's direction.
Ive already built up a case for Demyx being MoM but I haven't played Type-0 or looked indepth at the Verum Rex og project, so this was not only interesting but affirming of my suspicions. Appreciate you uploading this vid!

As soon as you showed the screenshot from Type-zero, my brain went "wait that's so familiar tf; what FF game was that in??" Yo! I never knew that Emdy had a meaning. That's a cool one. Nomura said that he gave Jack Garland (from Stranger of Paradise) the name Jack to evoke the feeling of him being a "default character" because Jack is a name commonly used for males who are nameless. I feel like a thought like that has probably crossed his mind when choosing the MoM's name.
I instantly knew where this was going as soon as you mentioned Agito... It's upsetting though cause this could be the plan, but a lot of KH fans will feel like it's disappointment cause they haven't played type-0 ... but they NEED to, type-0 is a fantastic game. It's so funny that I actually talked about this a few days ago. But only because Luxord's fighting style reminded me of Ace's. Like fighting with cards. So we talked about how nice it would be if we would get some Final Fantasy Type-0 stuff in Kingdom Hearts 4. But maybe it has already been there all these years? I played this game ages ago and now I rly want to play it again! The story is awesome too and I love the characters!
I still don’t understand KH’s implementation of “fictional” when it just seems like it means different universes - universes that manifest themselves in other universes through fictional stories. I mean, essentially like Winnie The Pooh. Does the fact that Dissidia NT exists in a KH world basically confirm that the entire FF series is canon to it?
That's what I want to know! The fact that they have Dissidia NT in Toy Box feels so... odd?? Maybe we're just not supposed to think about it that deep... It's certainly at the back of my mind, though. Just in case. There's definitely some overlap between the two sides of reality. Based on what we've heard so far, I get the impression that the fictional world is impacted and shaped by the imaginations of the people in the real world, so that's what makes it unique. That's probably where things like Sora's new "scrap and build" power come from. Probably also explains a lot about Yozora.
I suspect “fictional” in KH is a rosey wording for the 7th dimension, where multiverses with different “impossible” sets of physics are a thing. This would be similar to how WoFF names the “Realms of Fantasy” with each realm being defined by a different summon’s threshold and internal physics (Worlds of ‘A’lexander have different sets of physics than Worlds of ‘B’ahamut and exist in separate Realms from one another)

That video was nonsense, and that’s not what dimensions are. An n-dimensional space is just one that locally looks like R^n .

Suffice to say there are mathematical models for up to the 10th dimension for describing what sort of space-time would exist in higher dimensions

I’m saying that if you got your understanding of that topic from a particular popular video which is called something like “understanding the 10th dimension” and is in black and white and talks about different timelines, then that video is totally wrong and completely different from the actual idea of higher dimensional spaces in physics. The concept of a d-dimensional spacetime in physics is just what I said it is: a spacetime which is a d-dimensional manifold, meaning that each point has a neighborhood homeomorphic to R^d , i.e. which looks locally like R^d (and where the whole thing is equipped with an appropriate metric).

I'm glad you mentioned her! "MoM" and "Mother" makes the comparison hard to miss. lol That does strike me as quite intentional. I think that the MoM's role in the past was similar to Arecia's in the sense that he was nurturing the Foretellers for a specific purpose that he kept hidden from them. Nomura seemingly asked a question that nobody else was asking: "What if Jack took over Arecia's job?" 😂😂

You know, considering how Type-0 ends, to me, MoM being that one character who survives (can't remember the name) makes more sense. And to take it another step, perhaps they needn't be "literally" Type-0 character, but their back-story could be more or less equivalent to it. MoM had band, they fought in a war, he's the only survivor and has become a borderline god hell-bent on destroying the very concept of darkness itself. I'm not exactly sure how characters looking like his old friends come into the picture, but this is just a first guess that came to my mind. Oh wait, maybe if KH and Quadratum work like afterlifes for eachother? That could work.
This is reminding me of something.. In ff 12 revenant wings theres is a Mission, where you have to bring Penelo a star shaped fruit. This fruit looks exactly like the Papufruit in kh1.

But I’ve not seen anyone make such connections… For the most part, I saw kh content creators associate something to type 0, and the final fantasy 13 trailer, but I’ve seen absolutely no one bring up the tower and the window. They just glossed over things, said stuff like how Nomura was trying to execute versus 13, through kingdom hearts. 🤷♂️
Fuck, I bought the Type-0 Deluxe box and even played a little because I thought it might eventually be relevant to Kingdom Hearts, but just dropped it and never picked it back up. Even then, I just fucking KNEW Nomura would make me regret that one day, I could feel it in my bones!
An interesting clue, though I hope that if it is true that Demyx is not aware of his existence as MoM. We already had a twist like that with Xigbar and I feel like doing it again would just undercut Demyx's existing character. It's funny to think that if they had done Type-0 slightly differently they've could've had an total 13 students for Class Zero, and in saying this I realize they still could for its KH4 adaption the same way they're doing FF15.
I've thought about this sooo much. I feel confident that Demyx is completely clueless. The end of his Character Files short story makes it sound like he might know of the MoM... Which is interesting and sounds intentionally misleading. lol If nothing else, it's proof that he doesn't think that he's the MoM. Personally, I think he has all of the MoM's memories and just doesn't realize that they're HIS. It's funny to think that if somebody had simply asked him about the Age of Fairytales, he probably could've told them whatever they wanted to know. ...Or maybe that's how Xemnas figured out that Demyx was important, who knows. The FNC had a theme of making everything about the number thirteen, so there probably were supposed to be 13 members of Class Zero with someone like Lean Joker as the secret 13th member. Machina and Rem didn't exist when the game was still called Agito XIII, but we know that Lean existed because Nomura said that he came up with his name before any of the others. There were 13 Darknesses. 7 of them are in the Foretellers now. If the other 6 make a return, we could have a full set! 🎉🎉🎉
@@flagfighter Well it's a pretty clear bet that one of the six is Vanitas, and I'd say there's a reasonable chance Not-DiZ Ansem (they seriously need to give him a different name or something) is one two since he's a sentient darkness that just refuses to go away. The fact that both put their own spin on entities of darkness (emblem heartless and unversed) could also be a factor to consider. A low-chance but not impossible character to be a darkness would be Sephiroth since in the reports he's noted to be something similar to Ansem as sentient darkness and seems to have a similar relationship to Cloud as Ventus does Vanitas. All it'd take is for them to give FF characters their fair share again, so I guess it's not going to happen. The one thing that really bugs me though is the X-blade. KH3 inconsistencies and the fact that Sora has it aside there's no mention of its existence in Union despite it supposedly being a major piece of the Keyblade War historically. This is particularly important since somehow Ventus has it by the time of BBS flashbacks, or something, and we've seen the lead-up to that. What shenanigans did they not show us that involve MoM having the X-blade to create the Gazing Eye to giving it directly or otherwise to Ventus, and why does it look like two Kingdom Keys crossed with a pointy end like something out of a bad fanfiction?
@@vadandrumist1670 Apart from Vanitas, all of the other Darknesses should still be without bodies. Technically, before he acquired the appearance of Sora, Vanitas might have looked totally different and there's a non-zero chance that he might reappear with a new face. We actually don't know where or how the MoM got the power of the Gazing Eye. My guess is that it's linked to whatever is inside the box. The X-blade seems like it only appears when Kingdom Hearts is summoned, so Sora might not actually "have" it now. I'm pretty sure that it's the thing that directly gives someone the power to end or restart the world. I don't know if it's related, but the Character Files book said that the black box would only appear when the keyblade war happened. The box and the X-blade might be connected, or they're just similar in that way.

With the amount Square has retconned I wouldn't be surprised if all six are simultaneously out and about while still imprisoned because we've jumped on the time travel train from Kudzu Plot Station and are never getting off. They could literally be the twilight and wayfinder trios and I would not bat an eye. From what I've heard the Gazing Eye is te first off-brand keyblade, though I haven't seen in-universe evidence for and how exactly off-brand keyblades even happen is still a mystery. As for the "where" of it that thing is already established to be a paradox so there's no particular beginning that matters beyond that, all we can say for sure is that until it's sent back in time there are technically two Gazing Eyes in existence. I'm not even going to touch on the exact capabilities or purpose of Kingdom Hearts, but I do know that it is the X-blade that summons Kingdom Hearts rather than the other way around since Xehanort uses it to summon Kingdom Hearts and it is the keyblade for it specifically. Since the black box can be anything I'm more concerned about what information we do have, especially since the questions I have about that information are about things not making sense in a bad way.
@@vadandrumist1670 Oh, I think you mean the No Name. That's the keyblade. The Gazing Eye is the name of the MoM's eyeball and power. We really need to know more about the X-blade's origin and how they started making other keyblades... I'm always thinking about how Jack has a move where he can use his own phantoma to forge a katana that he pulls out of his heart. That idea is cool enough to satisfy me for now. According to the wiki, the X-blade is used for opening and controlling Kingdom Hearts. So you're right. I kinda said it was the other way around. lol Whoops.

This makes me wonder if there will be another Verum Rex character to be announced. Since Verum Rex is heavily based on ff versus 13, the other characters that were with Yozora were likely Ignis and Gladio inspired. Prompto’s inspired character has yet to be revealed, maybe or he is the red hair guy with the hat. In the original versus 13, Prompto was actually meant to betray Noctis. I’m wondering if Verum’s Rex’s version of Prompto and that betrayal aspect from versus 13 might play some kind of role with Yozora in quadratum. That and Prompto has blond hair, but his voice actor doesn’t have any connections to type 0 or any final fantasy character like Demyx’s voice actor. On a side note, I decided to look up the masters of masters voice actor and found out he plays King from Agito 👀. I haven’t played Agito so idk what that would mean 🤷♀️ But yeah great theory! subbing right now~
The redhead and the guy with the glasses are named Magia and Aegis respectively. (Their names were mentioned in a KH3 demo, so they might not be officially official yet.) It seems like they're actually a combination of characters. Magia has elements of Prompto and Ardyn, while Aegis shares elements of Gladio and Ignis. It has made me wonder if some of the Lost Masters may also be combo meals like that.
This is a great video that more KH fans need to see! I still don't believe that Demyx is MoM or even that MoM is from unreality. I don't believe Demyx and MoM's personalities are as much of a match as most people think they are, and the way MoM mentions unreality in KHUX makes me think he's not from there, though it's certainly possible. But the correlations of the foretellers and Demyx to Type-0 characters is such an awesome detail! I always wanted to play Type-0 as a kid but never had the chance. I knew it was part of the FNC universe, but was unsure if I should learn about it before KH4. Guess I'm going to find a playthrough of it now.

Whata great find . I'm still shocked that we haven't got a sequel to type 0 / agito . The secret ending had a really mysterious tone to it . Since nomura used so much of the norse myth lore , i wouldn't be suprised if the kingdom hearts itself would be yggdrasil.

Always wanted to play Type-0 as it looked far more intriguing to me than any of the other FF titles just never got around to it, after seeing this i absolutely want to play it now. Also i now dont feel as bad for not gettin pst the first gas station in FF15 lol
i havent played that game yet, cause i could never got my hands on it but the moment you mentioned deuce and ava connection, i can see it at this point im just looking at all the characters that look like skuld , since it was mentioned how skuld and ava are similar in looks, and deuce fits that bill so far too :O
Speaking of Skuld, her looks make me think of Tiz. You should look up what she looks like under the hood. Tiz is surprisingly important in the rest of the Agito series. She isn't affected by the Crystals' memory erasure, so she remembers literally everything. If Arecia hadn't removed her from the Sprial, her presence would have stopped the war and changed the world. Assuming that Skuld is Subject X, then I sense a potential similarity there. As Braig, Luxu took Subject X and "hid" her somewhere. It seems likely that he tossed her into one of Apprentice Xehanort's lifeboat pods, which altered the past and led to the paradox of Xehanort's birth. On the topic of characters who suspiciously look like other characters, Brain looks similar to Machina to me. Vali from Dark Road also has a very suspicious resemblance to Kurasame, mask and all. I don't think that their similarities are nearly as meaningful as the Foretellers', but... It's neat and fun. lol

Nice find!. I have always wanted to play type zero and ff13 since they seemed so cool. I am currently playing ff13 and will hop on type zero next. It's cool how they were always supposed to connect and crossover it seems, of course ff13vs never came to be though.
I feel like luxord is a clear candidate for MoM, he still has a lot of matching elements/symbolism, and he seems to be from unreality. I havent played type-0 so maybe there could be some fun connections there. ( I will say that i have played a bit of 15 and cant believe nobody has talked about how ignis is basically luxord like damn)
10:00 - 10:16 - 10:17 I hope so if not getting the jinxing for Nomura and the other developers along with Nomura or just Nomura himself for what a madlad he is with more questions and answers he or they have put in that effort. Still more questions than answers awaits us, for kh4 added with some spice of (final fantasy type-0) or the rest of the trilogy of (fabla nova crystala) final fantasy in with all the right pieces together with anything makes sense. I wonder if any the kh characters have any ancestor related to the foretellers like Ava is D from fftype-0 who is Kairi grandma… I wonder… wonder.. wonder if any of them are related or not but it’ll be fun to point out if it does?
SPOILER at the and from Type-0. I've played Type-0 but never really noticed it. I like the idea, but Demyx doesn't suit me as a MoM. Let me explain. It's mainly about looks. Tetsuia once said that MoM will be a completely new character we have never seen before. However, knowing his twisted actions, I'd say Demyx could be one of MoM's forms or an appearance in reality. (There is one problem and it is Luxord, we saw him at the end of Remind. But it wasn't fully visible, if it looks the same then my theory doesn't make sense. xD) And his true appearance is yet to be known. Personally, I'd be a bit disappointed if it was some character we've known for a long time. The other Forttelers are doing great for me when it comes to behavior, but it seems to me like you said that they will only resemble them or are based on these characters.SPOILER: MoM said that a long time ago many of his friends died, which would fit perfectly with the events of Type-0. Especially after the events of Remind and the addition of Versus XIII to KH.
Really interesting. There’s no doubt that everything regarding MoM and the Foretellers is inextricably tied to Fabula Nova Crystallis and Versus XIII. I do think there’s another piece to the puzzle, however, which I will say here. In English, The Master of Masters is voiced by Ray Chase, the same VA for Noctis in FF15. Normally, this would mean nothing, but Yozora, a clear substitute for Noctis in Kingdom Hearts, has a few interesting details about him that likely tie into MoM. Recall in Re:Mind when Yozora said “This isn’t what I really look like. How did you recognize me as Yozora?” This means that, at present, Yozora looks like a Noctis wannabe, but he didn’t always look like that. On top of this, Yozora has heterochromia, or two different eye colors for each eye. This is undoubtedly an important detail, just like how those consumed by Darkness have yellow eyes, light users have blue eyes, Scala students exclusively have silver eyes, etc. Yozora’s eyes are blue, that of a light user, and red, an eye color I don’t believe we’ve ever seen before. We don’t see MoM’s face, but we know his Keyblade has “his eye” in it, which is blue, which makes sense due to his firm alignment with the light. Given all this, what if MoM’s appearance during Union X looked like Yozora does now, or more accurately, Yozora’s new appearance is actually what MoM looked like under the hood. If we assume MoM looked like current Yozora, this explains his heterochromia. Perhaps MoM, in magically placing his “eye” in his Keyblade to see into the future, this changed the appearance of his real eye to red, rather than blue, as his actual vision is now through the Keyblade, not his new red eye. Not only that, but Noctis’ voice actor would be coming out of Noctis’ KH look-alike. I believe that, between Union X and KH3, there was some sort of body-swap between MoM and Yozora in the fictional world where they both reside, which then followed into Yozora “going through some trials” and trying to “save Sora”. While I am pretty convinced of this, I don’t know how well this gels with your own observations, which seem equally possible and intended. Perhaps MoM’s current appearance is that of Demyx, which was Yozora’s original appearance, thus establishing Organization members 9 & 10 (Luxord) as both coming from the fictional world, and there’s some other nonsense for how Demyx exists separately from both Yozora and MoM. Sorry to ramble, I just needed a way to record my predictions on the internet before the game came out (I also predicted Xehanort was a reincarnation of the Player, so I learned my lesson on not saying stuff). Regardless, really good & informative video. I guess we’ll all see, in time.
You should watch the video I made after this one! I explained my thoughts about MoM and Yozora's appearances in that one. I don't think that body swapping is necessary. Based on what I go over in that video, the MoM could theoretically make himself look like anyone as long as he's convincing enough. Sora sees Yozora correctly because he knows what Yozora is supposed to look like. If Sora looks at MoM, I feel like he would probably recognize him as Demyx no matter what he looks like to other people right now. lol But maybe it will be easier for MoM to fool people in Quadratum. Imagination might affect things differently there.
I had a similar idea about Lann from world of final fantasy. It is revealed that there is multiverse. And sometimes people sacrifice themselves and die are transported to another world wnd can become god. The girl with no name does this. Like sora with power of awakening. Lann in end of Woff. Picks up a black cloak, loses his arm and eye and travels through the darkness or multiverse. Lann also has summoned sora, cloud and sephrioth.

I talk about his name in the video I posted after this one! I only mention one possibility there because it's the one that seems the most likely to me, but there are a handful that I like. I'm also very partial to "Melody" or just "Medy" because it fits with "Melody of Memory" (MoM).

I can't find it in the video now, but did anyone else notice a location in type-0 that looks a LOT like the gray, circular town center with the lampposts in scala(?)? 2:17 here also resembles memeory's skyscraper to me. your emphasis on the daybreak clock tower's gear motif in the google doc makes me remember void gear too...nowhere else in kh (iirc) has a gear motif like it, and then suddenly vanitas shows up with a keyblade themed around it. I feel like something far more important that fans somehow don't realize is that Final Fantasy is literally Star Wars. If you want to understand Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy better you have to study Star Wars. Think about it for a second before actually looking into it. Blonde haired country boy with a lost past. I not only described most Final Fantasy main characters but that's just Luke Skywalker. I appreciate the comparisons to a lesser known Final Fantasy but I feel like it's pretty minor with how much Star Wars is even more ingrained into Kingdom Hearts. Xemnas having a Dual Lightsaber can actually be traced to the release of Phantom Menace with Darth Maul appearance. Which is a Movie referenced in Final Fantasy Type-0. You were this close figuring out how every Square Enix game is similar and the true through line 🤏 Once you inspect every Final Fantasy story you will never see them as Not-Star Wars. Kimari from FFX? Chewbacca. Vivi from FF9? C3PO. Cloud from FF7? Luke Skywalker (especially after Rebirth) Jack from Type-O? An offshoot of Han Solo. Vincent from FF7? Darth Vader realizes what a monster he's become. Almost every single Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts female is a Princess with Special unknown Powers because they're copying Leia. It's much more important to understand the Star Wars was literally the start of Final Fantasy as a whole and how it forever is ingrained into it's DNA. Light vs Dark? Open ending symbolic storytelling that be seen as religious? All Star Wars
In Dark Road, Master of Masters says to Xehanort, "I can introduce myself as Theodore or jack but I cant prove thats really who I am." Which makes you think hes just pulling names out of his ass. But after watching this video I decided to look up Demyx's Japanese VA and noticed he not only plays Jack from Type 0 but he also plays a character named Theodor in Schwarzes Marken. Idk if thats just a coincidence but it really makes me think...

Whether it is or isn't demyx I've learned not to trust the appearance of characters and their behaviors. We know the origins of xigbar (luxu), larxene(erlena), marluxia (lauriam) came from the battle of light timeline. Then saix (isa), axel (Lea), vexen (even), aeleus, and ienzo come from bbs timeline. There was future xehanort, young, and old man. So out of the original 13 we don't know the origin of demyx and the gambler. So it could be possible that one of them is MoM...wait what if both of them combined is Mom. The gambler likes to take chances and he's got the build and demyx has the aloofness and joking personality. We've seen hearts get split into two halves before like with ventus so it's not impossible. And isn't it odd that we didn't see the MoM resurface AFTER the 13 were defeated thus allowing demyx and his other half to combine back into one.

I got to almost the final boss before realizing I was severely under leveled and was not allowed to go back and grind more experience. Understanding that I had to load up a much much much older save in order to fight through as many enemies as possible to get that EXP made me stop playing.
@@sephandremanticore5438 Oh no... You didn't have to do that. Even if everyone gets knocked out in the final dungeon, the game will let you keep going. You also can't lose against the final boss. Pandaemonium is designed in a way so that you can never fail. The enemies there also scale with your level, so leveling up more actually makes them harder.

I was iffy on this whole thing until I saw the similarities between the characters of Type 0 and Demyx/The Foretellers. That rendering thing and how they all match the personalities of the other characters CANNOT be a coincidence. This is honestly huge. This could be another “Terra was the guardian” theory where years later we can look back at this vid and marvel.
Even if nothing comes of it, its clear Nomura wanted to maybe expand the characters he created for type 0 into a more widely known/popular game as kingdom hearts and maybe made his new characters like those ones to re introduce them to a wider audience.

Just started playing Type-0 because of this video! Once thing i've noticed already 2 hours in, a certain phrase "May the crystal guide you", doesn't it sound very similar to "May your heart be your guiding key" 😏
I'm so happy you decided to give it a try! I think that phrase is important, too. In the early stages, they referred to Agito XIII as the "Guidance Myth." It would seem that being "guided" was always relevant to the theme of the story. (I was so excited when I found that out. lol) I hope you enjoy the game!

SquareEnix was making an attempt to bring that back with the Fabula Nova Crystalis line of games.... but, well.... we all know how Fabula Nova Crystalis ended up.

In Japanese, he says Jack and Taro, which are names commonly used for the main characters in fairytales! The fact that he said "Jack" really made me lose it. lol
I think they went with Jack and Theodore in the English version because they must've been thinking of Jack Garland and Golbez, whose real name is Theodore.
And his "real name" is something you cannot hear, but Xehanort reacts to it.
I only see 2 small problems with this amazing theory
1. You forgot that Braig/Xigbar also has to represent Joker, not just Luxu, because we don't really know how long Luxu was Xigbar.
2. MoM hadn't actually ceased to exist, he can be seen talking to Xehanort 75 years ago in re-mind. Demyx was recruited to the organization as a regular member at a point when members like Axel were being tasked to go out and recruit, and Xemnas had to check he was a nobody with no heart for his plan. Plus none of the Norts or Xigbar/Luxu recognized Demyx as being MoM

I was of the opinion that MoM is in the same role of Class-0’s “Mother” Arecia, but this video gave me a thought… Class 0 are mirrors of the 13 Darknesses, or at least the vessels meant to contain them such as the Foretellers
I've had a similar thought! One piece of content that got cut (sort of) from Type-0 were dark versions of Class Zero that you were supposed to fight inside the Nox Suzaku. In Japanese, its name is actually "Suzaku's Darkness." The models of them look a little similar to how Dark Aqua looks. They're actually still in the battle with the Nox Suzaku, but they were made invisible for some reason. An interview in the artbook states that the Nox Suzaku was CREATED BY Class Zero when they were fighting and stealing phantoma. Makes you wonder what those dark versions were supposed to be... Possibly Class Zero's own darkness...? It feels so similar, it just wouldn't surprise me if that's where Nomura got the idea.
@@flagfighter Nox is latin for Night, so the english versions meaning isn't that different. Particularly not with how Nomura is using the Night Sky to contrast the Final World's Dream(Day?) and Death(Night?) versions. Nomura really loves his flowery usage of latin.
Though it is particularly interesting that the Phantoma Class 0 harvested is only the light half of the soul, and the Nox Suzaku held the dark half. The chaos of the soul split in twain, much like how in FF13lr the "savior" Lightning only harvested the darkness in souls leaving them pure and full of light for Bhuni to make use of. Phantoma is made of Light while Eradia is made of Darkness

Also, having read one of your responses about the name of the world of type-0 meaning daybreak, blew my mind. What is nomura plotting with including this crazy type-0 reference. I played a bit of the game years ago, but did not finish it, don't remember why tho.
You should give it another try! There are so many things in Type-0 that feel potentially relevant to KH. Here's another really fun one for you: Qun'mi, a White Tiger l'Cie, wears an ornate tiger mask that looks very similar to the masks worn by the Foretellers. Every l'Cie is given a Focus that they must carry out. In Japanese, the word for Focus is "shimei", which is the same word the Foretellers use for their "roles."

HHHHHHHOLY SHIT. I LOVE Type-0 and have played it to death and I NEVER noticed that damn window!!! Well spotted!
I started playing FF14 last year and noticed that all of the main casts (apart from Rem and Machina) hairstyles are available for your character. It felt like such a weird shoutout- all the other references to other FFs were cameos or mentions of side-characters, or a remix of a music track or something. All the other wearable references to other FFs are reserved for very recognisable characters from mainline games; job gear that can be traced back to multiple mainline FFs, and the outfits of Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, and Yuna wear. It just felt weirdly special that our shoutout to Type-0, a spinoff that nobody played, was ALL of Class 0s hairstyles. And I didn't realise how much of an underdog that game was until I realised that only a handful of other people got the reference! There's probably no connection (I don't even think there's any notable overlap in the teams that worked on Type-0, KH, and FF14?) but it feels like someone in Square has a soft spot for Type-0 and really wants us to look in it's direction.
Ive already built up a case for Demyx being MoM but I haven't played Type-0 or looked indepth at the Verum Rex og project, so this was not only interesting but affirming of my suspicions. Appreciate you uploading this vid!

Nomura said that he gave Jack Garland (from Stranger of Paradise) the name Jack to evoke the feeling of him being a "default character" because Jack is a name commonly used for males who are nameless. I feel like a thought like that has probably crossed his mind when choosing the MoM's name.
I instantly knew where this was going as soon as you mentioned Agito... It's upsetting though cause this could be the plan, but a lot of KH fans will feel like it's disappointment cause they haven't played type-0 ... but they NEED to, type-0 is a fantastic game. And KH fans like pain right? The story is right up KH fans alleys.

That's what I want to know! The fact that they have Dissidia NT in Toy Box feels so... odd?? Maybe we're just not supposed to think about it that deep... It's certainly at the back of my mind, though. Just in case.
There's definitely some overlap between the two sides of reality. Based on what we've heard so far, I get the impression that the fictional world is impacted and shaped by the imaginations of the people in the real world, so that's what makes it unique. That's probably where things like Sora's new "scrap and build" power come from. Probably also explains a lot about Yozora.
I suspect “fictional” in KH is a rosey wording for the 7th dimension, where multiverses with different “impossible” sets of physics are a thing. This would be similar to how WoFF names the “Realms of Fantasy” with each realm being defined by a different summon’s threshold and internal physics (Worlds of ‘A’lexander have different sets of physics than Worlds of ‘B’ahamut and exist in separate Realms from one another)

I’m saying that if you got your understanding of that topic from a particular popular video which is called something like “understanding the 10th dimension” and is in black and white and talks about different timelines, then that video is totally wrong and completely different from the actual idea of higher dimensional spaces in physics.
The concept of a d-dimensional spacetime in physics is just what I said it is: a spacetime which is a d-dimensional manifold, meaning that each point has a neighborhood homeomorphic to R^d , i.e. which looks locally like R^d (and where the whole thing is equipped with an appropriate metric).

You know, considering how Type-0 ends, to me, MoM being that one character who survives (can't remember the name) makes more sense.
And to take it another step, perhaps they needn't be "literally" Type-0 character, but their back-story could be more or less equivalent to it.
MoM had band, they fought in a war, he's the only survivor and has become a borderline god hell-bent on destroying the very concept of darkness itself. I'm not exactly sure how characters looking like his old friends come into the picture, but this is just a first guess that came to my mind.
Oh wait, maybe if KH and Quadratum work like afterlifes for eachother? That could work.

For the most part, I saw kh content creators associate something to type 0, and the final fantasy 13 trailer, but I’ve seen absolutely no one bring up the tower and the window.

Fuck, I bought the Type-0 Deluxe box and even played a little because I thought it might eventually be relevant to Kingdom Hearts, but just dropped it and never picked it back up. Even then, I just fucking KNEW Nomura would make me regret that one day, I could feel it in my bones!
An interesting clue, though I hope that if it is true that Demyx is not aware of his existence as MoM. We already had a twist like that with Xigbar and I feel like doing it again would just undercut Demyx's existing character. It's funny to think that if they had done Type-0 slightly differently they've could've had an total 13 students for Class Zero, and in saying this I realize they still could for its KH4 adaption the same way they're doing FF15.
I've thought about this sooo much. I feel confident that Demyx is completely clueless. The end of his Character Files short story makes it sound like he might know of the MoM... Which is interesting and sounds intentionally misleading. lol If nothing else, it's proof that he doesn't think that he's the MoM. Personally, I think he has all of the MoM's memories and just doesn't realize that they're HIS. It's funny to think that if somebody had simply asked him about the Age of Fairytales, he probably could've told them whatever they wanted to know. ...Or maybe that's how Xemnas figured out that Demyx was important, who knows.
The FNC had a theme of making everything about the number thirteen, so there probably were supposed to be 13 members of Class Zero with someone like Lean Joker as the secret 13th member. Machina and Rem didn't exist when the game was still called Agito XIII, but we know that Lean existed because Nomura said that he came up with his name before any of the others.
There were 13 Darknesses. 7 of them are in the Foretellers now. If the other 6 make a return, we could have a full set! 🎉🎉🎉
@@flagfighter Well it's a pretty clear bet that one of the six is Vanitas, and I'd say there's a reasonable chance Not-DiZ Ansem (they seriously need to give him a different name or something) is one two since he's a sentient darkness that just refuses to go away. The fact that both put their own spin on entities of darkness (emblem heartless and unversed) could also be a factor to consider. A low-chance but not impossible character to be a darkness would be Sephiroth since in the reports he's noted to be something similar to Ansem as sentient darkness and seems to have a similar relationship to Cloud as Ventus does Vanitas. All it'd take is for them to give FF characters their fair share again, so I guess it's not going to happen.
The one thing that really bugs me though is the X-blade. KH3 inconsistencies and the fact that Sora has it aside there's no mention of its existence in Union despite it supposedly being a major piece of the Keyblade War historically. This is particularly important since somehow Ventus has it by the time of BBS flashbacks, or something, and we've seen the lead-up to that. What shenanigans did they not show us that involve MoM having the X-blade to create the Gazing Eye to giving it directly or otherwise to Ventus, and why does it look like two Kingdom Keys crossed with a pointy end like something out of a bad fanfiction?
@@vadandrumist1670 Apart from Vanitas, all of the other Darknesses should still be without bodies. Technically, before he acquired the appearance of Sora, Vanitas might have looked totally different and there's a non-zero chance that he might reappear with a new face.
We actually don't know where or how the MoM got the power of the Gazing Eye. My guess is that it's linked to whatever is inside the box.
The X-blade seems like it only appears when Kingdom Hearts is summoned, so Sora might not actually "have" it now. I'm pretty sure that it's the thing that directly gives someone the power to end or restart the world. I don't know if it's related, but the Character Files book said that the black box would only appear when the keyblade war happened. The box and the X-blade might be connected, or they're just similar in that way.

With the amount Square has retconned I wouldn't be surprised if all six are simultaneously out and about while still imprisoned because we've jumped on the time travel train from Kudzu Plot Station and are never getting off. They could literally be the twilight and wayfinder trios and I would not bat an eye.
From what I've heard the Gazing Eye is te first off-brand keyblade, though I haven't seen in-universe evidence for and how exactly off-brand keyblades even happen is still a mystery. As for the "where" of it that thing is already established to be a paradox so there's no particular beginning that matters beyond that, all we can say for sure is that until it's sent back in time there are technically two Gazing Eyes in existence.
I'm not even going to touch on the exact capabilities or purpose of Kingdom Hearts, but I do know that it is the X-blade that summons Kingdom Hearts rather than the other way around since Xehanort uses it to summon Kingdom Hearts and it is the keyblade for it specifically. Since the black box can be anything I'm more concerned about what information we do have, especially since the questions I have about that information are about things not making sense in a bad way.
@@vadandrumist1670 Oh, I think you mean the No Name. That's the keyblade. The Gazing Eye is the name of the MoM's eyeball and power. We really need to know more about the X-blade's origin and how they started making other keyblades... I'm always thinking about how Jack has a move where he can use his own phantoma to forge a katana that he pulls out of his heart. That idea is cool enough to satisfy me for now.
According to the wiki, the X-blade is used for opening and controlling Kingdom Hearts. So you're right. I kinda said it was the other way around. lol Whoops.

As someone who loved Type-0, fuck it, I'm here for it.
This makes me wonder if there will be another Verum Rex character to be announced. Since Verum Rex is heavily based on ff versus 13, the other characters that were with Yozora were likely Ignis and Gladio inspired. Prompto’s inspired character has yet to be revealed, maybe or he is the red hair guy with the hat. In the original versus 13, Prompto was actually meant to betray Noctis.
I’m wondering if Verum’s Rex’s version of Prompto and that betrayal aspect from versus 13 might play some kind of role with Yozora in quadratum.
That and Prompto has blond hair, but his voice actor doesn’t have any connections to type 0 or any final fantasy character like Demyx’s voice actor.
On a side note, I decided to look up the masters of masters voice actor and found out he plays King from Agito 👀. I haven’t played Agito so idk what that would mean 🤷♀️

The redhead and the guy with the glasses are named Magia and Aegis respectively. (Their names were mentioned in a KH3 demo, so they might not be officially official yet.) It seems like they're actually a combination of characters. Magia has elements of Prompto and Ardyn, while Aegis shares elements of Gladio and Ignis. It has made me wonder if some of the Lost Masters may also be combo meals like that.
This is a great video that more KH fans need to see! I still don't believe that Demyx is MoM or even that MoM is from unreality. I don't believe Demyx and MoM's personalities are as much of a match as most people think they are, and the way MoM mentions unreality in KHUX makes me think he's not from there, though it's certainly possible. But the correlations of the foretellers and Demyx to Type-0 characters is such an awesome detail!
I always wanted to play Type-0 as a kid but never had the chance. I knew it was part of the FNC universe, but was unsure if I should learn about it before KH4. Guess I'm going to find a playthrough of it now.

Speaking of Skuld, her looks make me think of Tiz. You should look up what she looks like under the hood. Tiz is surprisingly important in the rest of the Agito series. She isn't affected by the Crystals' memory erasure, so she remembers literally everything. If Arecia hadn't removed her from the Sprial, her presence would have stopped the war and changed the world. Assuming that Skuld is Subject X, then I sense a potential similarity there. As Braig, Luxu took Subject X and "hid" her somewhere. It seems likely that he tossed her into one of Apprentice Xehanort's lifeboat pods, which altered the past and led to the paradox of Xehanort's birth.
On the topic of characters who suspiciously look like other characters, Brain looks similar to Machina to me. Vali from Dark Road also has a very suspicious resemblance to Kurasame, mask and all. I don't think that their similarities are nearly as meaningful as the Foretellers', but... It's neat and fun. lol

It's cool how they were always supposed to connect and crossover it seems, of course ff13vs never came to be though.
I feel like luxord is a clear candidate for MoM, he still has a lot of matching elements/symbolism, and he seems to be from unreality. I havent played type-0 so maybe there could be some fun connections there. ( I will say that i have played a bit of 15 and cant believe nobody has talked about how ignis is basically luxord like damn)

I hope so if not getting the jinxing for Nomura and the other developers along with Nomura or just Nomura himself for what a madlad he is with more questions and answers he or they have put in that effort. But yeah I’m with ya for definitely worries if it does not planed if what if Nomura might’ve change a year ago or he already done it but cannot changed. Still more questions than answers awaits us, for kh4 added with some spice of (final fantasy type-0) or the rest of the trilogy of (fabla nova crystala) final fantasy in with all the right pieces together with anything makes sense.
P.s. I wonder if any the kh characters have any ancestor related to the foretellers like Ava is D from fftype-0 who is Kairi grandma… I wonder… wonder.. wonder if any of them are related or not but it’ll be fun to point out if it does?

I've played Type-0 but never really noticed it. I like the idea, but Demyx doesn't suit me as a MoM. Let me explain. It's mainly about looks. Tetsuia once said that MoM will be a completely new character we have never seen before. However, knowing his twisted actions, I'd say Demyx could be one of MoM's forms or an appearance in reality.
(There is one problem and it is Luxord, we saw him at the end of Remind. But it wasn't fully visible, if it looks the same then my theory doesn't make sense. xD) And his true appearance is yet to be known. Personally, I'd be a bit disappointed if it was some character we've known for a long time. The other Forttelers are doing great for me when it comes to behavior, but it seems to me like you said that they will only resemble them or are based on these characters.SPOILER:
MoM said that a long time ago many of his friends died, which would fit perfectly with the events of Type-0. Especially after the events of Remind and the addition of Versus XIII to KH.

Really interesting. There’s no doubt that everything regarding MoM and the Foretellers is inextricably tied to Fabula Nova Crystallis and Versus XIII. I do think there’s another piece to the puzzle, however, which I will say here.
In English, The Master of Masters is voiced by Ray Chase, the same VA for Noctis in FF15. Normally, this would mean nothing, but Yozora, a clear substitute for Noctis in Kingdom Hearts, has a few interesting details about him that likely tie into MoM.
Recall in Re:Mind when Yozora said “This isn’t what I really look like. How did you recognize me as Yozora?” This means that, at present, Yozora looks like a Noctis wannabe, but he didn’t always look like that.
On top of this, Yozora has heterochromia, or two different eye colors for each eye. This is undoubtedly an important detail, just like how those consumed by Darkness have yellow eyes, light users have blue eyes, Scala students exclusively have silver eyes, etc. Yozora’s eyes are blue, that of a light user, and red, an eye color I don’t believe we’ve ever seen before. We don’t see MoM’s face, but we know his Keyblade has “his eye” in it, which is blue, which makes sense due to his firm alignment with the light.
Given all this, what if MoM’s appearance during Union X looked like Yozora does now, or more accurately, Yozora’s new appearance is actually what MoM looked like under the hood. If we assume MoM looked like current Yozora, this explains his heterochromia. Perhaps MoM, in magically placing his “eye” in his Keyblade to see into the future, this changed the appearance of his real eye to red, rather than blue, as his actual vision is now through the Keyblade, not his new red eye. Not only that, but Noctis’ voice actor would be coming out of Noctis’ KH look-alike. I believe that, between Union X and KH3, there was some sort of body-swap between MoM and Yozora in the fictional world where they both reside, which then followed into Yozora “going through some trials” and trying to “save Sora”.
While I am pretty convinced of this, I don’t know how well this gels with your own observations, which seem equally possible and intended. Perhaps MoM’s current appearance is that of Demyx, which was Yozora’s original appearance, thus establishing Organization members 9 & 10 (Luxord) as both coming from the fictional world, and there’s some other nonsense for how Demyx exists separately from both Yozora and MoM.
Sorry to ramble, I just needed a way to record my predictions on the internet before the game came out (I also predicted Xehanort was a reincarnation of the Player, so I learned my lesson on not saying stuff). Regardless, really good & informative video. I guess we’ll all see, in time.
You should watch the video I made after this one! I explained my thoughts about MoM and Yozora's appearances in that one. I don't think that body swapping is necessary. Based on what I go over in that video, the MoM could theoretically make himself look like anyone as long as he's convincing enough.
Sora sees Yozora correctly because he knows what Yozora is supposed to look like. If Sora looks at MoM, I feel like he would probably recognize him as Demyx no matter what he looks like to other people right now. lol But maybe it will be easier for MoM to fool people in Quadratum. Imagination might affect things differently there.
I had a similar idea about Lann from world of final fantasy. It is revealed that there is multiverse. And sometimes people sacrifice themselves and die are transported to another world wnd can become god. The girl with no name does this. Like sora with power of awakening. Lann in end of Woff. Picks up a black cloak, loses his arm and eye and travels through the darkness or multiverse. Lann also has summoned sora, cloud and sephrioth.

I talk about his name in the video I posted after this one! I only mention one possibility there because it's the one that seems the most likely to me, but there are a handful that I like. I'm also very partial to "Melody" or just "Medy" because it fits with "Melody of Memory" (MoM).

hi, I'm officially losing my mind. I can't find it in the video now, but did anyone else notice a location in type-0 that looks a LOT like the gray, circular town center with the lampposts in scala(?)? 2:17 here also resembles memeory's skyscraper to me.
your emphasis on the daybreak clock tower's gear motif in the google doc makes me remember void gear too...nowhere else in kh (iirc) has a gear motif like it, and then suddenly vanitas shows up with a keyblade themed around it. I know his connection to the union x darkness is all but stated in game, but to me that's another visual confirmation.

@@elizabetharr8551 You might be thinking of the fountain courtyard? It's the area right in front of the main Akademeia building. It reminds me of the fountain in Daybreak Town, which the Scala fountain was surely based on as well.
I feel like something far more important that fans somehow don't realize is that Final Fantasy is literally Star Wars. If you want to understand Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy better you have to study Star Wars. Think about it for a second before actually looking into it. Blonde haired country boy with a lost past. I not only described most Final Fantasy main characters but that's just Luke Skywalker. I appreciate the comparisons to a lesser known Final Fantasy but I feel like it's pretty minor with how much Star Wars is even more ingrained into Kingdom Hearts. Xemnas having a Dual Lightsaber can actually be traced to the release of Phantom Menace with Darth Maul appearance. Which is a Movie referenced in Final Fantasy Type-0. You were this close figuring out how every Square Enix game is similar and the true through line 🤏 Once you inspect every Final Fantasy story you will never see them as Not-Star Wars. Kimari from FFX? Chewbacca. Vivi from FF9? C3PO. Cloud from FF7? Luke Skywalker (especially after Rebirth) Jack from Type-O? An offshoot of Han Solo. Vincent from FF7? Darth Vader realizes what a monster he's become. Almost every single Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts female is a Princess with Special unknown Powers because they're copying Leia. It's much more important to understand the Star Wars was literally the start of Final Fantasy as a whole and how it forever is ingrained into it's DNA. Light vs Dark? Open ending symbolic storytelling that be seen as religious? All Star Wars

But after watching this video I decided to look up Demyx's Japanese VA and noticed he not only plays Jack from Type 0 but he also plays a character named Theodor in Schwarzes Marken. Idk if thats just a coincidence but it really makes me think...

Whether it is or isn't demyx I've learned not to trust the appearance of characters and their behaviors. We know the origins of xigbar (luxu), larxene(erlena), marluxia (lauriam) came from the battle of light timeline. Then saix (isa), axel (Lea), vexen (even), aeleus, and ienzo come from bbs timeline. There was future xehanort, young, and old man. So out of the original 13 we don't know the origin of demyx and the gambler. So it could be possible that one of them is MoM...wait what if both of them combined is Mom. The gambler likes to take chances and he's got the build and demyx has the aloofness and joking personality. We've seen hearts get split into two halves before like with ventus so it's not impossible. And isn't it odd that we didn't see the MoM resurface AFTER the 13 were defeated thus allowing demyx and his other half to combine back into one.
Oh I recognized it awhile ago. We know Nomura is trying to revive Versus and the Fabula mythos in a way.
