    This is my favorite bored for what I need it to do, I don't always know where I'm going so the off roading ability is a big pro. Now just need to save up 😭 lmao.

    Micah, love the video. Thanks for all your articles on Electrek too. I've been looking to get a Onewheel pint. I think you would like it. I look forward to seeing more of your reviews.

    I ordered and received my X2 as soon as it was available, so I've had it for quite a while now and can agree with this review 100% on all points. One thing I don't believe was mentioned but I think is maybe the best feature of the board, and one of the most intangible things about it is the incredible feeling of pure confidence it gives you, and a feeling of safety that I don't get in any of my other boards. You just feel like you can either glide over obstacles or power through them, and whichever way you choose to do it - and whatever speed - you feel safe and secure. It's a combination of the shock-absorbing flexy deck with a perfect concave grip to it, the double kingpin trucks which are both stable yet can turn extremely tightly, and the wheels/tires which eat up pavement cracks, curbs, grass/gravel transitions and loose debris effortlessly. Once you get accustomed to this incredible feeling of confidence, it is difficult to go to other lesser means of electric transportation like a EUC or OneWheel, or regular street eskateboards.
    So while it may be the most intangible feature, as an owner and daily commuter I can say it is what makes the X2 one the most enjoyable devices I've yet ridden.

      I ordered mine and it's arriving in a few days. Did you find the size of the front battery an issue for speed bumps and other cracks in the road?

    • @Slayblaze
      @Slayblaze Před 4 lety +2

      @@BWT599 No not an issue for those things BUT I will say I have scraped mine up just a tiny bit by trying to go up and over a very high curb (which I made it up and over no problem) but yes it did scrape the battery cover in front. Just scuffed up a bit, and I probably should not have tried it in the first place so I consider it my own fault. I can go over shorter curbs and other obstructions without bottoming out, still you would be wise to keep it mind for going over larger obstacles.

    Would get a lot more range riding coffin style, but it really needs mudguards.
    Shouldn't be difficult to 3D print some.

      i have the X1 redux which minus the power boost is the same board. My only complaint is your going to stack up on tires if you ride bad pavement like i do in ny.

    I own an Backfire Ranger X1 redux (w2 with out the power boost) I liked the video but....its kinda misleading because your riding on streets that are almost flawless!! Bring that board to upstate NY and youll find out really quick that youll need to replace the tires every season. Just pavement.... bad pavement but my tires are bald!!

    How long battery working?

  • @fojrsepta4959
    @fojrsepta4959 Před 4 lety +1

    It had over a third more 🏋 so COST per pound is ☝(x200 coupon code or otherwise below $k versus prior WEIGHT is reduced a quarter)
    I like idea of flip down ultralow rolling resistance front truck that gets snapped back if bumped to increase range when you step up minimising sponged weight in back. Let deck protect. (My SECOND paragraph is obscure presently to me? Could someone remind me WHAT I meant? My battery being 20% leaves me out of range of intended meaning TONIGHT)

    • @blise518B
      @blise518B Před 4 lety +1

      Well manufacturers are often very generous with the ip rating. Maybe if the seals are completely new and all but after some time it will definitely degrade faster when riding in rain. Salty snow and salt water puddles are board killers. Parts of the hub motor will definitely rust when you drive on wet winter days.

    • @jacobpaternostro9109
      @jacobpaternostro9109 Před 4 lety

      Do you think the airless tires will be able to handle rain and snow?

    • @blise518B
      @blise518B Před 4 lety +1

      jacob paternostro depends on the tire. Classic flat Longboard wheels give you allmost No controll on wet pavement. Things like 120mm Foamies are okay for lower speeds. I have never tried the wheels from the video but they look like they could allso work okay. But if you really want All weather all terrain wheels go with at least 160mm Pneumatic tires.

    Everything broke in this board before I could even pay it off. I’m an aircraft mechanic and the maintenance on this is trash. I’ve put just as much money into spare parts as the board costs. Go with a different brand

  • @DJD_30
    @DJD_30 Před 4 lety

    I love the evolve bash at the end, lol how much did they pay you fam? Lol it looks like a good board for those not needing 31 miles of battery life (evolve) or the 26-28 mph (evolve) can do but for a solid cheaper board it’s decent, would reframe from bashing other companies who do it better though for future references since this guy seems like backfire gave him a script lol
