      I think fun factor is high, around 8, cool factor is really head turning and children glaring if they have never seen ones like this before, a 10, acceleration is excellent, the moment you push it it gets all the power, on dirt the wheels are throwing ground, a 10 as well, handling is rather stiff, EUC get it better, so it gets 7 out of 10, value is questionable, on one hand it's cheaper than evolve, on the other hand it's still a thousand dollar board before options with Chinese assembly which is not very reliable, so it gets 7 as well for a total weekend score of 42 out of 50

    Ordered this board 4.5 months ago after watching some youtube videos. Raldey board took almost a month to arrive, DIED within 1 mile! Almost broke my arm when it immediately shutoff. TERRIBLE customer support that is only in broken english. Customer support has multiple personalities, calls me “dear” in some responses and “cmon bro” in others. 🤷🏻‍♂️ They asked me to rip off the new grip tape, buy a voltmeter and “amount the voltage to us”. 3 months later, two batteries, and two ESCs, and never sending me an original griptape replacement, my board finally (kinda) works. I say “kinda” because I test rode this board on the same ride that my 7 year old Altered electric skate board can easily achieve. The Raldey board cuts out on certain steep inclines which I think is the most absurd feature/response/error. Baseball player Chace Numata died when this exact same thing happened on his board. Again my 7 year old Altered board with a 800watt motor can cream these exact same inclines without any motor cutout, at top speed. I agree completely with your review, the board carves way too hard (for my taste) in the rear, feels similar to losing all traction. Real cozy feeling at 25mph. I think anyone considering an “AT” board should grasp the simple basics that this is a marketing tactic. None of these boards are meant for actual (normal) offroad use, the tires lack any traction offroad and the motor would cut out constantly (due to the power cut off issue). I requested a refund from Raldey within 72 hrs and was never responded to regarding it. I requested a complete replacement and offered to pay to ship this board back AND the shipping on a new one, they declined rudely and blamed me for “improperly diagnosing the board” after their ridiculous request to purchase a voltmeter and “amount the voltages”. I deeply regret purchasing this board and would not recommend this board. I am currently working on an in depth review for this board.

I had problems with the range I wasn’t even getting half of what they claimed and when I talk to tech-support they gave me the runaround for two or three emails and then start contacting me.

      I've been having the same issues man. The board broke down after my first ride. The boards been broke for the last 8 weeks. I bought a new Esc, had to replace it and solder new ports on. Didn't work. I wrote a comment with more details of my situation, but it's a bit ridiculous.
      They won't issue a refund or replace the board and last time they talked to me a few days ago and told me to wait until they open a repair shop in the US. Is there anything I can do?

    I bought this board in August received it a month later in Sept. Took it on a test ride and it turned off on me 5 minutes in. I thought it might have been that fact that it wasn't fully charged but it did it again. The board wouldn't turn on again until an hour or 2 later. I contacted support via email, sent video and pics but no dice. I was asked to rip the grip tape off and trouble shoot but realized they were coming to Brooklyn for the NYEF event where I live. Met the owner and staff they swapped out the battery, replaced the grip tape and the board has been working fine since. I get the 15 mile range never put it past mode 3 cause I don't need to. I've been on trails and commute to and from City Hall/WTC area from Bushwick Brooklyn. At 1st I was worried that I might be stuck with a damaged board but was relieved they were coming my way to address the issue. I'm loving the board and ride it every other day.

    I bought the 2nd gen and have zero issues. Promise you all that Im telling the truth......the dude behind this board was the patent holder for electric skateboards long ago and basically helped all other companys make, advertise to help with board design and target. This is his own personal brand and all part sold at cost price minus shipping if you bought from them. SOOOO 12 month warranty free replacement and lifetime maintenance Meaning a $400 doller battery will cost 200, ●365 day parts & labor warranty against manufacturer defects
    ●Lifetime maintenance, all parts replace at COST price.●Always stocked with replacement parts should you need anything. Controller is plasticy but is very predictable and works beautifully. My boosted board controller feels like a brick and will never break on a wipe out but again its bulky and not as predictable as the raldey tunning with the remote. The remote was my biggest gripe until i used it....all can say it feels more natural and easy to use. New remote design comming out to. I like this board over all my other ones and a go to. For work/campus/ close 1/4s i take my boosted mini extended range. Anyways, the board is good and the best you can buy for that price. If upgrade it will def. not be a evolve......it will be a KALY.NYC electric skateboard/ that level. everything like the evolve, boosted, raldey etc.....same level of stuff and will only go to the next that seperates the competion. Just ill take the 1000 raldey thats the same as an evolve thats 2000. Just a dude telling the truth with an unbiased opinion.

    i bought the raldey. Got to me in 3 weeks, something went wrong at the end of my first ride. The board died as expected it was on low battery. I was almost home and was cruising only about 8 mph. However when it died it made a strange popping sound. Walked the board home a block and tried charging it and it wouldnt charge nor turn on. This was 8 weeks ago. They first told me, I had to rip the grip tape off and disconnect/reconnect the battery lines. I did, and 1 of the battery lines sparked as i plugged it in and damaged the port. They told me i must have plugged the battery lines in backwards, but i didn't and checked if i even could and they dont fit backwards and i didnt get the 2 lines confused. Anyway, since "I connected the battery lines in backwards" it was my fault and i was told i needed to buy an $85 Esc. and $12 ports off amazon, after a week both of them were in. I had to bring the board to work and solder the new ports on. I replaced the Esc, I tried charging the board, it worked for 5 minutes then stopped charging the board again, the board was able to turn on and i tried to accelerate while the board was upside down. Only 1 of the motors/wheels were working, also the remote was flashing "over current". The conversation back and forth for the last 8 weeks, was them trying to get me to confess i connected the battery lines backwards. After days of me trying to explain how and when the ports sparked and told them "fine i might have put them in backwards, what do we do now" just to speed up to a solution. they then told me to buy the Esc and ports. They dont want to refund me or replace the board after 1 ride before breaking. I've tried telling them i feel like its a defective board and something went wrong. I'm told to wait until the USA team sets a repair shop up here sometime in the next few months. My cousin bought the board at the same time and he hasnt had any issues with it, its an awesome board. Suppose i just got unlucky. No worries though, I bought the new Gtr bamboo AT board to get me by until the the raldey board gets fixed. Oh wait all 4 tires will pop if you try offroading. If you get the Gtr bamboo, put a liner in the tires or that slime stuff before taking it offroad.
    PS: almost $4k in and nothing to ride. Should have just went with the Lacroix
    PSS: Great vids dude. Gnarly fall.

    I bought the V2 and have had it for about a week with only about 30 miles on it - decided not to ride it in the rain because the wires and the charger connector plug are not sealed well. Yesterday I was riding and about 5 miles into my ride I was going about 25mph down a smooth open road I’ve gone down a zillion times on my friend’s lycaon board and the Raldey just died on me and I got thrown off pretty hard. Unlike the cheaper Lycaon which isnt AT the belts in the Raldey system mean you can’t ride the board when it is off like a regular longboard. So sudden full stop and I have a split chin, cracked helmet, concussion, scraped up my palm, elbow, hip, chest and banged up my knee a bit. I checked online and this isn’t an uncommon problem so I thought I should throw that out there again... be careful. If I weren’t wearing a helmet I could have died no joke.

      I have a meepo v3. I can't speak on behalf of a one wheel... but I will say: if you are an experienced longboarder and already enjoy riding "acoustic boards" (as my freinds and I now refer to them) then get an eboard!! I have had my v3 for a couple months and 500 miles and I still ride it almost everyday just for fun. The experience for a long-time longboard rider is pure joy. It really feels like an item checked off my bucket list. However, I do not think my freinds who have not previously skated would say they felt the same way when they've tried my board. The idea to them was certainly far from boring, but ultimately nothing more than a novelty. So... apply your own research to the onewheels argument, but if you've already got some hours under your belt on a regular board, then give eboards a second thought. Maybe find out if there is a place you can go ride one. A retailer or a freind. I think you'll know within a couple minutes if it's going to make you as happy as it does me.

    I'm in a hurry and can't watch the whiole video at the moment.
    Is it safe to ride while raining? If so, is it possible to replace the tires or attach some extra grip/chains around them, to be able to (carefully) ride it on snow-covered/icy roads? I live in Sweden and are looking for some kind of a personal transportation that would work in any weather all year round, and not only during our "3 weeks of summer"! 😂 Which pretty much means 1 hot sunny day followed by 20 days of cold rain, and then it's all of a sudden time to start wear winterclothes again...🤦‍♂️ (Well, almost true)

    • @TheExai
      @TheExai Před 4 lety

      I have a Raldey AT and I'm in a colder place than Sweden. What can I tell you. I've made aftermarket water insulation - guys working with electric transport here do it. The board itself is IP 65, so it should be able to withstand rain with some upgrades. Regarding snow - your biggest problem is the battery, Li-Ion is not feeling well being discharged at low temperatures, so I'd not risk it with long rides below 0. Second issue in my place is the salt/send they use to deal with snow, they're highly corrosive and I don't think the wheels will feel well. So for snow it's not a way of transportation but more like a way to have fun for some short time outside. Also on dirt the wheels dig themselves in when you accelerate and I believe snow will be the same, they're big but they're still narrow.

      @@shassafrass1770 Will do! I'm currently at 140 miles and don't have the best and smoothest streets near me, so the wheels seem like they are going to continue to wear out and chunk off at a fast rate. I do get two weird sounds coming from the board. One in which is a squeak and the being more of tapping/knocking sound. I did go down to the shop to have em check it out and everything checked out good, but the sounds are still there. I'm hoping if something were to happen, I hope it happens before the warranty is out lol..

    • @shassafrass1770
      @shassafrass1770 Před 4 lety +1

      @@evoxyoshi2532 Yea, I sent it in for noise and they didn't even check since I got it back louder than before. The knocking racketty sound is from multiple parts that aren't properly secured. There are a few design flaws like 4 screws that screw in upwards which is what makes MOST of the noise, though not all. Those get loose just from riding and you have to unplug the controllerboard from the battery to access the screws. They told me I can tape it up instead and I've never had a company telling me to tape up their products. The plastic holding case for the controller-board also has gaps between it and the carbon fiber deck which adds to the rattling noise. I have a long ass email thread with them, carry various screwdrivers with me now and I've added padding but the board is still a noisy lil cricket with a flimsy remote and screws that constantly loosen. Its just way too finnicky for a consumer product.
