    I've been very very happy with my Ride1Up 500 Series e-bike for a couple of years now. When I have had to reach out to customer support with questions along the way, they have always been extremely fast and thorough with assistance. When the day comes that I need to refresh my ride, Ride1Up will be my go-to! This video of their story and quality further reinforces my belief in the brand! Thanks very much.

    • @PluggedFaith
      @PluggedFaith Před 15 hodinami

      @@Total0Reverse there’s countless reasons why ev police cars are a bad idea.. 1. Ev have triple the amount of fuses and circuitry making them easier to quit working while performing maneuvers. 2. It would cost more in repairs because parts are usually only sold by the manufacturer. 3. Batteries can explode and injure someone in custody. 4. If it were my civil duty to protect innocent life I would not trust a pile of fuses and wires to do so. 5. Design flaws in ev’s are more prevalent than in gas vehicles because of factories cranking them out at the speed of light. 6. Water proofing doesn’t exist over long periods of time and it could corrode connections and lead to a collision. 7. Police cars experience abnormal wear than regular vehicles which could risk everyone’s safety. 8. We live in a digital age where electrical components are more at risk of being tampered with remotely. 9. Charging them 10. Ev’s in general require frequent maintenance. Cheap electric components will fill up landfills while leaking toxic chemicals into the ecosystem. Global warming ❌ Acid rain 👍

    imagine draining 77% of your battery for ONE chase and needing towed to a charger cause your cruiser forced you into low power mode and won't go above 35 mph... EV's are NOT the future for America people. We are simply too big a nation for anyone to be able to take EV's seriously. They purely do not have the range capacity to fulfill the typical Americans needs, and the infrastructure to have them be even remotely capable isn't available at all yet.

    • @Total0Reverse
      @Total0Reverse Před 16 hodinami

      One chase will almost certainly never consume 77% of the battery. Research from the 90's suggests that the average chase is 10 miles or less and 10 minutes or less. Even if we assume chase lengths have quadrupled (multiplied by 4 or an increase of 400%), that leaves us at 40 minutes long. If we assume it's an above-average speed chase (120mph), then that is 80 miles. This model of EV has a range of 279 miles to 324 miles. Assuming the lower end of 279, reduced due to vehicle modifications to 250, that leaves us with an approximate 2.5 miles per 1% of battery. 80 miles, divided by 2.5 miles, gives us a battery loss of 32%. So, even assuming worst case scenarios and very generous numbers to your argument, we see that this EV wouldn't lose even half as much charge as you claim, and if charged for 30 minutes (or less) would regain a full battery.

    • @Krolitian1
      @Krolitian1 Před 15 hodinami

      @@SlipKnot7866 again, scenarios that don't exist. If an officer's car never drives more than 300 miles in a shift, that's wasted battery capacity. YOU might drive more than 300 miles in your shift, but you're not a cop and you can just pick an EV with 600+ miles if you needed that capacity.

    • @SlipKnot7866
      @SlipKnot7866 Před 15 hodinami

      @@Total0Reverse with the weight of an SUV police cruiser and it being EV it wouldn’t take much to prove it’s a stupid idea over time not to mention that we know what it takes to produce EV’s currently is self defeating in the purpose of being more green and usually produce 12-30% carbon emissions that the EV would save, and the materials are harder to recycle especially the batteries when compared to the combustion engine which is almost entirely recyclable at its current place in time. You can throw all the numbers you want but EVs are purely just not the way to go. Plus my draining the battery jab was putting them on the place of being on a highway speed chase for about 30-45 minutes assuming the weight of the vehicle to be around 3.5 tons. Yea I’m sure it doesn’t drain 3/4 of the whole charge but it doesn’t change the fact that most units would be recharging more than likely before shift ends which would cause its own host of problems not to mention since it’s state or county money being spent, they’re gunna want it all done on the lowest tax curve possible and that shit ain’t happening when a regular vehicle will do just fine at roughly a third less cost.

      This specific model of EV should have a recharge rate (when used with the right charger) of 211 miles in 32 minutes. Meaning it gets around 6 1/2 miles per minute of charging depending on battery state. Since it's a pursuit vehicle, and research from the 1990's suggests that the average pursuit lasts less than 10 miles or 10 minutes, means the car only needs to be charged for maybe 10-15 minutes per day to engage in daily pursuits (and pursuits don't happen every day).

    Agree with Fred that Elon is a liability. You said, "He fired a whole division to prove a point." But we now know Rebecca Tinucci DID already select more than 10% of her team before she had the meeting where Musk rage fired her and the whole division. That wasn't proving any point about being serious about each division cutting. That was his anger about a division head having a professional difference of opinion about what needed to happen next. Elon showed he is a loose canon when he fired a whole division because he can't control his rage. That's a fireable offense at any other company, especially when the outcome presents a major dangerous disruption to the company (ie failing to meet your commitments with NEVI grants and installing contractors/partners). A massive company can't be headed by a person without a simple understanding of how to act at work.

    • @frankcoffey
      @frankcoffey Před 20 hodinami

      It may become hard to attract talent now that they know their job could end every time Elon has a mood swing. Imagine if YOU could be fired with no warning not because of your own performance but because of something your bosses boss said to the CEO.
