I have this board with the newer remote and lighter front wheels. Great purchase. If it had a little more torque and a higher top speed, it would be perfect. I am curious how the new Raldey and Ownboard Carbon AT will fair against the X1 as they are in the same approximate price range. BTW, I actually prefer the remote set up not to go backward by just using the thumb slider as it could cause me to lose balance if I go in reverse by accident.
Nice review! Just a heads up to those researching this board, it comes with the new V2 remote which has a lot of improvements, as well as lighter and more durable front wheels that shave off a couple pounds. The weight of the board is the biggest con, but not enough to detract from highly recommending it! Reviews in the works highlighting the new parts!
Great review, agree with most. It's super fun, at times scary, to ride around Boston. One issue I've had is the battery goes from full to 1 bar after riding for maybe 6 miles. I'm right around 200lbs and always ride in sport mode at high speed. BTW which nut did you loosen on the trucks to give it a better turn radius?
I have this board and live in CT, vI weigh around 200lbs and yeah it does go to around 1 light after about 6-7 miles of riding but it can last alot longer, the inside nuts are the hardest to adjust since you can't reach it with a standard skate tool.
I switched the front wheels to make it lighter. I've had this board for 6 months with no problem not like those belt driven board that slips, tears up ,squeaks, loosen, comes off. I'll give this board a 10 for its liability.
had it since release.. got the new lighter front wheels (made no diffrence in performance) and i sold my other boards.. its my daily comuter. i got two things i dont like about it.. the top speed is slowish.. and the breaks are a bit to soft.. if a car swings in front of you while you go full speed and you need to panic break.. you will hit the car..
Well, do you have unlimited amount of money? If so theres an AT board that claims to go 55 miles on a single charge. It's $2500.00+ With all due respect..... just try this one.
Good review, but why no mention of the top speed, and range?
Thank you for this amazing review
I was looking for custom off-road ford ranger pickups... And this is what I get instead. 😂 Not disappointed.

@@unSeentertainment I believe you can order the lighter wheels and updated remote directly from Backfire's site.
Killer boots man! Dig the video definitely going to purchase the ranger over the evolve. Thanks for the review.

I can't seem to find any reviews or info on the brakes.

Hi, can someone tell me if it works on firm/wet sand at the beach? (not on a sandy road but on the beach where the sand isn't dry & loose)

@@jimzplace I am specifically asking about the 2 mention not +$2500 boards. Is the quality of the evolve worth the exta $$$.
@@Joe-eg7ml If you have ever riden one try the GTR top speed is the same.
Over marketing? I think so... Have you seen 👁👁the new AT2 from AE boards?🛹🔥
Can't compete with Raldey board
Might be an unfortunate name
Dan Frederiksen the Chinese companies don’t have a great sense of irony I’m afraid
Goofy footer!
