From "Parks & Recreation": a mockumentary series following Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Leslie is determined to improve her small world through her job, despite resistance from Parks Director Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman), an anti-government Libertarian. The series also stars Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari and Retta.

Ron acts like he hates people, but whenever he meets someone whose honest and genuine he can’t help but fall for them (platonically)
I think he hates non-genuine people.
@@justinthompson7404 yeah that’s like what I said
He likes individuals
@@justinthompson7404
Which is 90% of the people if not more
*who's
Ron and Typhoon's friendship gives me hope for humanity
Fr. It's not hard to like people with different lifestyles. You just got to let yourself
@@eryvac0074 What? The point was that they shared the same sentiments, not that opposites attract. That is only the case with his love for Leslie
So dope Ron was typhoons best man
@@Matt..S "That was nonsense."
Ron isn’t some bigot lol he’s just kinda sheltered ya know. He’s very open minded
Being friends with Ron is like having your dad tell you he's proud of you.
In short, it'll never happen :(
Ron matches my Dad very well yes.
Why is this accurate? 😂
I'd like to be friends with ron
@ScotchIrishHound😂sman
the interesting part about this video for me is that is showed me that no one has heard rons giggle/laugh more than donna. i think that makes her something special above the others lol. i always got the vibes of april being his daughter, andy his son/son in law if you dont want it to be weird, donna & leslie are his sisters, and ann is just his cousin he sometimes likes, we all have one of those lol.
And Tom is the annoying neighbor kid 😂
@@jashpippins8228 lol yeah, and he's annoying but his parties are always somehow lit lol
Donna is his older sister and Leslie is his younger sister, who friend is Ann (so he has to tolerate her bc she's his sister's bff but they're not friends exactly...speaking as a sister whose friends have also had to have awkward convos with my brother just bc they're my friends lol)
fair enough lol. im just a older brother to a sister and really didnt have that close of a relationship so i wouldnt know lol
@@emericcson123
Does that make Chris Ron’s annoying neighbor?
Ron Dunn was such a great bait and switch
Greatest anime betrayal
True, I honestly thought he would’ve been a reoccurring character but they made their bit with him 😔
Bizarro-Ron.
@@54raynor Bizarron
It always reminded me of the time Flanders met Canadian flanders
I had to replay 1:44 a couple times cause I knew I heard giggling and then “ *Andy* , wait up!” Absolutely my favorite moment
Took me years to realize Ron was the one giggling and not Andy.
the fact that his real laugh makes me chuckle
Lmao just big kids😂
Years ago before Parks and Rec came out, I recall Conan Obrian commenting that Megan Mulallys husband had the girliest giggle he ever heard from a man.
Typhoon is a successful small business owner. No reason that Ron wouldn't be friends with him.
Typhoon also hates Europe
And bicycles
Ron's giggle is better than the laughter of small children...
The way he nervously giggles and chases after Andy in the parking lot just slays every time 😂
I love that at the end, Ron is the best man in Tiphoon's wedding
I love how they bonded 😂😂😂
“Yes, please continue speaking badly about Europe” 😂😂😂 Ohhhh Ron
I love how Andy’s reason for Ron not going for Callaghan’s is because they skimp on the vegetables 😂
I'm sure Ron's the type to distinguish a pickle from a vegetable. Once it's made where it could raise your blood pressure or harden your arteries, I'm sure Ron's pro-veg.
@@ItDoesntMatterReally deep-fried for example
No, no. Pickles is a meat-complement, not vegetable.
@@mad_max21 meat has juices, veggies have flesh
@@CorvusCorone68meat is flesh😝
"I'm surrounded by a lot of women in this department, and that includes the men." Peak Swanson.
"Tom and the other girls"
"No, just the crows and the beef'...my favorite and most wholesome moment in the series.
good deal.
When Andy and Ron are talking about types of government, I've never noticed theyre grilling indoors lmao
You forgot Ben’s introduction, when Ron loved him talking about cutting the government budget!
“What is a not gay way to ask him to go camping with me?”
the way Donna and Ron looked at each other with the night hunting, thats friendship
The way April looks at him snd smiles when she throws away the vegan bacon is wholesome as hell as well.
I wonder if Ron ever goes back to typhoon just to trash talk Europe 😂
They became close enough for Ron to be at Typhoon's wedding so they must have had a long and beautifully friendship based on mutual hate of the garbage continent
Absolutely! Ron goes back to Typhoon every [Redacted]
Ron said barber is one of his life pillars. Have you watched Parks and Rec?
I mean he became Typhoon's best man at his wedding
If Ron chose to do that, that’s Ron’s personal business and of no concern to anyone else. Please and thank you.
I love Ron finding common ground with Typhoon.
What I love about Ron is that while he’s a bit close minded and has very strong ideas, when he finally tries something new he has no issue in accepting it and loving it. When he makes a BBQ with Andy it was just wholesome.
I love how Donna comes across as the older sister when it’s her and Ron haha
The more I see of Ron Swanson, the more I’m convinced that there’s certain folks who only see the manly man side and completely overlook his genuine side.
Or his joke side.
Plot twist, they’re one and the same
@@jpurgal Not to them it isn’t. Enjoying time with a gay hairdresser he found common ground with is too woke for the folks I’m talking about.
are you suggesting that men can't be genuine?
@@Jusoon No. Go back and try again.
I like to think when Ron says “We still never talk sometimes” it’s like they meet up but you don’t talk at all then just go home.
They sit in silence until someone does the midwest goodbye. Only image in my head now.
Ron and April's relationship is very parent coded to me, like she can easily tell people Ron is her dad and nobody would bat an eye.
He is for sure her unofficial fun uncle/close friend.
Can we all just appreciate how hilarious the line "I haven't had lunch since yesterday" is?
I think I accidentally turned into Ron Swanson on certain levels. Lol. He seems funnier now that I'm older
Yeah i am 41 I am halfway to Ron and George Carlin combined.
Guilty
Ron's giggle just brings such joy to my heart 😂
It's like he found a son, a father, a friend, a daughter, a sister and so on.
"You, beanbag. Come with me."
"I'm an eggplant."
"I don't care; come with me."
Ron's character wasn't just making fun of libertarians (while also showing good qualities), it was making fun of American male stereotypes, while also showing a genuine person. The show doesn't hate Ron Swanson, he's just a good mix of qualities people usually make fun of, and somehow he makes it work.
They did good work with him, some stuff you disagree with, but he's right on lot of things. People should learn more skills so they can depend on themselves, while there are a lot of tradesmen out there you can hire, you should also know as much of these things as possible yourself.
I've been trying to learn more about cooking, fixing my car, stuff around the house and all the other things nobody was there to teach me.
Ron's character was one of the things to push me more into that direction.
@Zero60133 agreed, we would all benefit from having these hands on skills and working together in cooperative communities. Then we're the creators of our world, instead of being subjected to a Matrix none of us build, surrounded by strangers, working meaningless jobs in our corner of the Matrix.
Bruh as a libertarian I just saw a very faithful adaptation. The making fun part never existed.
The best comedy is the stuff that makes fun of you and you still love it. Comedy that is “this person is x (rich, gay, black, whatever…) so they’re bad”, is just unimaginative insults masked as humour.
@@Robot-Overlord uh, he said his ideal government is one guy, in a room, who decides who to nuke
Other Ron is NOT Ron’s friend. He is his worst nightmare.
I think Ron liked that Typhoon owned a hair salon called Hair by Typhoon.
I agree. Simple and to the point.
They have Diane and Craig, the love of their lives. But Ron and Typhoon are soulmates.
nice catch Mr. Poirot
I will always love Ron just casually grilling inside his office
1:42 will always be my favorite Ron moment. His giggle and utter happiness in this moment.. It was perfect.
Pratt:It literally killed a guy last year
Ron: you had me at meat tornado
Ron Swanson is the champion of the common man. Probably one of the best written characters in tv history.
I go to the gym at 5 am. I always see the same people but mostly a 40 something man and a 20 something girl. When one of us enters the gym we nod at each other and when we leave we do a little hand up gesture. I have no idea what their names are, best gym buddies ever.
2 months later, do you still see them?
The innocent way Chris/Andy says "this came out" is perfect and hilarious.
Ehh. *hand wave*
I’ll always love the Ron and Andy bonding moments, especially Ron’s adorable giggle.😊❤❤❤ Also, I think a lot of people can relate to Ron’s frustration/determination in wanting to beat a video game.😉😅
I love how Ron initially bonds with Eagleton Ron and then later hates him so much.😂😂😂
is that the guy from guardians of galaxy?
@@aSSGoblin1488 Yes, Andy is played by Chris Pratt who is Starlord.😊
"Hey Andy wait up!" Gets me everytime
Yes
That’s Nick Offerman’s real laugh lol, the actor wasn’t pretending. He laughs like a 5 year old naturally.
hahahah the "come on now, you know i don't give a f***!" i just love it
I like how Leslie isn't on here because she would extend the video by 15 minutes alone
Ron and Typhoon's friendship is great. Friendship through mutual hatred of Europe and bicycles.
It is he most fascinating dichotomy of Man that: if a man tells you upfront he dislikes you, you actually like that summbitch more than anyone.
"I am starving. I haven't had lunch since yesterday." 😂
1:40 was like the manliest man then suddenly turn into a kid in a flash
You know what I love about Ron. He acts hard and pretends to hate people, but if they ask questions he is more than happy to teach that person some pretty great skills.
Ron's giggles are the absolute best
"Best friend I ever had. We still never talk sometimes"😅😅😅😅
3:26 might be my favorite interaction between the two 😂
5:15 “you. beanbag. come with me.” gets me every time
Ron is genuinely just chill with anybody that’s honest and upfront and no-nonsense. Doesn’t care about much else.
1:24 😂 the way he says it with a stone cold face, Ron Swanson everybody.
In The Great North, his voice hardly changes as Beef Tobin and still he manages to be an amazing father to four kids.
Ron and Donna are like two secret Kings/Queens of their respective jungles, and they give each other a mutual nod of respect when they meet
I always say I haven’t had lunch, breakfast, dinner… since yesterday. Thank you Mr. Swanson
"I'm surrounded by a lot of women in this department.. and that includes the men" Loooool
1:04 Andy brought Ron a meal that he couldn't finish.
I was told Sam Elliot was I’m in an episode or 2 and before I saw the episodes I knew he’d be best friends with Ron😂 I also love that’s nick offermans real laugh
Ron’s giggle is so adorable.
One of my favorite Ron moments is when he gave Anne the tools. “You deserve it “ may be one of things I yearn to hear…
I like the subtle background joke of after Ron finishes the Meat Tornado there is an entirely different one waiting for him on his desk for later.
Every laugh Ron makes is like a miracle
"We still never talk sometimes." Best line in history.
I believe he only liked Ron Dunn for about 8 minutes and 19 seconds.
His little giggle towards the end cracks me up.
That Giggle of ron's is just adorable!
Ron Swanson laughing with immense delight is my new Joy.
Ron and Ron talking in quotes lol 😂😂
Ron's giggle is hilarious every time.
Rons giggle is everything.
"I'm surrounded by a lot of women in this department, and that includes the men"
I felt that on a spiritual level
This is one of my top 3 favorite shows of all-time 💜
"I need small hands" LOVE IT!
It’s nice to see how well Ron and Ron get along! I’m sure they’ll have a long and fruitful friendship!
Nick Offerman giggles are life sustaining
"No further questions" gets ne every time
Ron's giggle gives me hope for the future.
I fucking love Ron
1:44 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 “Andy wait up”
Ron literally my favourite character in this show
Everyone needs a friend like Ron Swanson. I have several.
I love offerman’s giggle so much!
“New meat delivery system” only something Ron court say
"We still never talk sometimes." That's deep.
I love his giddy laugh lol
I've seen about 70% of these shows thru u-tube... Guess I need to hunker down and watch from the beginning when the next pandemic hits...
I love Ron's laugh
Watching Ron and Andy bond is so wholesome
Ron reminds me a lot of my Dad. Libertarian, American Loving, emotionally stand offish, ridiculous in his reactions to anything that is not considered traditionally masculine…etc.
I’m gay. Sensitive. Artistic. Blah blah blah…
We butt heads a LOT.
But one of the things I admire about my father is even when he doesn’t understand something, he tries to understand. He can be ridiculous, but he’s a good man. As different as we are, I still try to be like him everyday.
I’ve never seen this show, but holy shiz does this guy remind me of my dad.
They have the same personality, interests, voice, and laugh/giggle. This is an insane revelation.
ron is the best example of positive masculinity.
It’s just masculinity. Not everything has to be labeled toxic or positive. Hard to comprehend, I know.
Ron laughing like a kid in the parking lot is a wholesome moment
In the last clip, I can see Ron truly appreciating someone being honest about his shortcomings.
The look of rons face when andy pulls out the drawer. Just to wave it off like ehh im too hungry for this.
"I'm surrounded by a lot of women in this department, and that includes the men"
We've all been the Ron, we've all been there
These are all GOLD!
Donna’s cmon now you know idgaf is perfect
"I'm surrounded by a lot of women in this department, and that includes the men".
LOL. Love it.
love that Ben showed up at the end just to be specifically not part of Ron’s squad
2:39 ron's eyebrows 😂 it's like he stumbled into a whole other world
He indeed did not end up liking ron😂
“I haven’t had lunch since yesterday” just slips under the radar…😂😂
