Now try to put the deck in the transport position...yup, not going to happen. All the tiger cubs/cats I've had were off nearly 1" and the closest that I've been able to get was within 0.5" while still being able to get it locked in the transport position. I think Scag put one too many links on their deck hanger chains. I've been thinking about cutting a link off on each chain (~1" long) which should allow enough adjustment while still able to get it locked in the transport position.
I think you may have just solved my 2020, underpowered, overpriced, SCAG TIGER CAT 2 with the never ending nightmare of the deck locking in the highest position EVERY SINGLE TIME I cruise over even a modest bump, hole... whatever. People... PLEASE do yourself a favor and spend a cpl extra bucks on an EX MARK Lazer Z. (X series) Then do yourself another favor and get the foot pedal operated discharge blocker. Hands down the best mower in the business. Anybody who wants my 2020 SCAG with less than 20 hrs it?? Get ahold of me. I will eat at a grand just to put this POS in a new home. I paid over 9 grand out the door. Chadwilliams1111@yahoo.com. PUT SCAG in subject.
@@chadflinchbaugh4443 That actually sounds like they may have put the wrong deck assist spring on your mower. Does the deck bounce up and down when going over a bumpy terrain?
Katrina Oxley Ya we haven’t tried to get the deck and pin setting aligned. We just know that if you want the lawn at 3 1/2 we set the pin at 3 3/4 . May tried again someday.
Don't forget to make sure the tire pressures are at the correct psi before adjusting the height.
Stony Acres Thanks for the reminder and watching.
Luckily I was able to get it in transport. I just checked it again this year and it is 1/4” off again.

This is exactly what I had a question about.
