I just picked up a TCII with the FT730v. Homeowner, so it's over kill for my yard, but I always like heavy duty equipment. No doubt it will last me the rest of my life and I will pass it on to my son. The brochure says 9.5 gallons, but owners manual says 5.3 on right tank and 5.7 on left

Jim Bo We are just about to hit 900 hours on ours after a little over 3 years of use. We mow about 30-35 properties per week in Michigan. You will love your Scag.

I agree about the fuel tank selector switch on the scag tiger cat II it is hard to get to and prefer the off position to be in the center position

Tiger Cat II has ISO mounts for the suspension seat ,that's another difference.

The manual for the TCII wrong for the fuel selector switch.

Jim Bo Not sure if I look at the manual for fuel switch. I know the selector switch label is correct on the machine. Did you get a fuel injected model?

Why did they make the deck and brake pedal types mismatch? OCD trigger ha.

Not sure but I am assuming they are different so I helps people remember which is which. If I remember correctly they are the same pedal type on the older tiger cat.

Do they come in a diesel motor

Scag makes a turf tiger with a Diesel engine. Think it is a cat engine.

Only 300 hours? Mine has over 2000 hours and still runs like a champ.

Justin Leggett that’s good to know. We just hit 180 hours on ours this week. We put about 60 hours on it over the past month.

I roughly put about 40-50 hours a week on mine. I mow professionally. Obviously you have to replace worn out parts occasionally, but Scag is a very good brand. I definitely recommend it.

What was the malfunction on the tiger cat ll ?

Ran a 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. Pump hoses always leaked and ate drive belts. Other misc issues less then 400 hours

When we tried to start it and take it off the trailer it started hard and would barely run. We got it off the trailer and it was still running really bad. We shut it off and when we restarted it it ran fine. I was a little freaked out so I took it back to the dealer for them to look it over but they didn’t find anything. Haven’t never had a problem ever since. Maybe since it was brand new it may have gotten an air in the fuel line or a vapor lock or something.
