I've played many RPGs in my time and in many of them, you can select all your skills at character creation OR choose a preset build, that's what I thought was the case in PZ when choosing profession - but they actually give you unique abilities and modifiers. Maybe it's just me who made that mistake! I've been playing for a month now and loving it, and guides like this really help.
It happened exactly the same to me when I started playing. I chose a bunch of "bad" traits, thinking that I could change them later in the future. What a surprise when I realized I couldn't. One of those traits actually got me killed. But at the same time, I think that's one of the great things about the game; all your decisions matter. Either way, I'm glad you are enjoying the content and hope you continue to enjoy the game for a long time!
@@bladiuss I've actually picked almost every negative trait available in the vanilla game to balance the character I wanted and all of them can be managed with some practice. My Character is a Burglar. High thirst, Restless sleeper, slow healer, underweight, fear of blood, claustrophobic, conspicuous, hearty appetite, pacifist, prone to illness, smoker, weak stomach, clumsy, cowardly, short-sighted, slow reader. speed demon, cats eyes, dextrous, outdoorsman, wakeful, lucky, gymnast, keen hearing, organised, thick skin, athletic, strong. She starts with Strength 9, Fitness 8 and Nimble 3. Currently she has survived 2 Months 9 Days 9 Hours and has killed 10164 Zeds. I play on Insane population with random Zed intelligence (some are stupid. others can open doors and walk around obstacles) but the respawn is reduced to one year, you cannot clear the game in one year but you can clear areas and make a difference. I have pacified Westpoint and am trying to push into Louisville, my Primary base is the Westpoint Gigamart (big open room) with a rest base in the military checkpoint (fresh water, clothes washer and a bed) and I am planning on making the Ameriglobe building (4 floors of open plan office with BIG windows and roof access, perfect for a claustrophobic) my Louisville safe house. Let me know if you want me to keep you updated on her progress.
Haha, definitely😊. I always pick those traits unless I'm playing a weird build I want to try out. What traits do you usually go for, and how do you counter their effects?
I have over 1000+ hours on PZ I can't play with sprinters, lol. That's too much for me. That's all I could focus on during the video, these were simple tips and I was like WTF is going on here. He was making it look too easy.
By the way, I never play burglar, I don't think -6 points is worth the instant hotwire. I suppose if you're playing against sprinters that's definitely worth it.
Yeah, you're right about that. If you're experienced and familiar with car mechanics, then the burglar occupation might not be as optimal because you can eventually hotwire cars. But for new players, it's a game-changer. Being able to drive away from zombies when you're still learning the ropes is a whole different experience. Also, it's especially useful when playing against sprinters!
Are there any other beginner tips and tricks that could help save the lives of our new members?
You can get the life and living VHS tapes later in the game

You know This man is serious about tips for PZ when he is playing against sprinters
😅
if you're a bugler OC then be careful spawning in riverside. There's a decent chance you don't spawn in a house with a tv.
That's true, in Riverside there are several houses without a TV. Thanks for the tip!
If you choose smoker you can also take fear of blood because smoking removes all of your stress and lets you keep the anxiety under control.
That's a pretty darn good combination! Thanks for the tip! 👌

"these include..." proceeded to list most of my negative traits on characters 😂

Could you do a 100 day challenge hahaa, I feel like someone with your experience should, but great content, keep it up! 😃
You bet, I've been simmering that idea for a while now. It's awesome to hear you're digging the videos! Thanks a ton for tuning in to my channel! 😄
Are u planning on doing a nex nomad run
Yeah, definitely! There are a ton of vids I need to get out first, but another nomad run is something I would like to try out again.
