Bruh their kids are going to be laughing stocks for years and talking the brunt of their parent's failures and actions. Loot also is a term for “stuff” or “goods” but yes they’re thieves either way.
There was a study conducted into loot boxes in video games that basically determined they were structurally and psychologically similar to gambling. It’s not that much of a stretch to argue that these mystery boxes are very similar to loot boxes in video games thus are effectively gambling. The Ace Family clearly have no morals if they’re happily promoting mystery boxes to their young audience (although we already knew about their lack of morals anyway).
I decided to use their code to see what I would get in my mystery box. It was also a gift card for 10 cents. Hmm…
Edit: I made another account to use a code from a different CZcamsr and ended up with the 10 cents gift card again.
Everyone is getting the 10 cents cards I heard one person used like 7 accounts and all of them got the 10 cents gift card

What bothers me is people are not minding their children, then giving them access to funds to BUY things ONLINE...then get upset when their kids get ripped off?!?! My parents monitored my television shows and PG movies by being in the room. Never, ever did I give my boys a cell phone until they were 18. Then I paid, monitored, GPSd, firewalled, verboten purchases THE HOUSE. I put this on the parents, then these p.o.s. All I have to say, watch who your kids watch and what they do, because what happens is on YOU the adult.

Unfortunately, it isn't *legally* gambling because there is a 100% chance of a payout - even if that payout winds up being a $40 sticker (ie, there are no "empty boxes"). It's no different than mobile games making you use "gems" or some sort of premium in-game currency (that you have to pay real cash for) in order to roll on loot boxes. But even those skate by by allowing you to "earn" that currency. Not gambling per se, but it definitely promotes gambling behavior and it's deplorable to see it on a family channel.
