By deleting bad reviews, she's giving the impression that everyone who purchases her product has been helped. That's clearly not true and if her argument is that these people just misinterpret what her audits entail, that's on her for not communicating it. Prospective buyers have the right to hear everyone's experience to make an informed decision, and robbing them of that is manipulative and wrong. Don't feel guilty for calling this out Markie
Found out that's actually illegal. Consumer Protection Act. From Madcatster and that whole Janet The Unhinged Lawyer drama. Deleting negative reviews gives a false impression on the consumer encouraging them to buy and spend their hard earned money when they might not have Edit: Aaaaand Markie just mentioned Jeanette Braun (Janet the Unhinged Lawyer)
As someone who works as a consultant and who does some analogous audits, I’ll say that if you’re not having a conversation (typically over zoom), you’re getting scammed. Edit: and yikes, she gave “niche-ing down” as an example of common advice she gives. This is something that needs to be discussed collaboratively and means nothing as basic advice (absolutely useless when given in a template) because you can niche too far and end up with zero audience who connects with your content. Also with some CZcamsrs I enjoy, you can see that their first couple months to one year on their channel is a wide variety of content, and then they find their niche in something the algorithm likes and they enjoy making. I would say wait until you have some regular amount of subs/views (like 1000 subs and breaking 100 views on new uploads) and one “viral” video (significantly more views than average, not necessarily viral) before you “niche” (unless you have a specific vision that you’re dedicated to right away and would continue wanting to make those videos even if it results in slower growth). Tldr she is giving the most generic, basic, and frankly bad advice for new content creators.
and making them pay for it. i'm like, why even charge anything... give them some free advice, they can write a good review, you get more business, get more knowledge, charge a fair fee, etc.
@@cogs7777 yeah, like the actually good format(albeit a bit basic) is to hook people with a free checklist template for personal evaluation and then have them pay for a consult to better inform and refine their conclusions and next actions based on what they learned from a personal evaluation. Like from the template they know they need to do xyz to improve but they now need your services to know how to carry out xyz.
As a tax auditor, audits are personalized. The steps to do an audit are often the same but the results vary. Also to me deleting negative reviews feels like false representation of ones business.
To tell a customer to mind their own business was utterly rude. No she paid you for a detailed personal job, not a copy and paste with minor edits. You dear are called a joke
If it isn't personalized it isn't an audit. I audit at my job, you go through documents and data with a fine tooth comb to find any discrepancies or incorrect data, and then you figure out how it happened and help correct whatever is flagged. Audits can NOT be a template.
Oh, I just thought of this, but there was a fitness influencer named Brittany Dawn, who was sued over this exact thing. She lost and ended up owing like a million dollars in restitution. Whoops, I was wrong. She ended up settling for 400,000, but the state was suing her for a million.
For a supposed "influencer advisor" she makes a massive faux pas in her video. Adding subtitles with the same background colour as your coat colour is cute but placing those subtitles over the coat makes the subtitles illegible, defeating the purpose they are there to provide. She also states that her package is $70 but doesn't state that it's a discounted price. My theory is she is making people believe they are getting a better deal than the price is alluding to. The only issue with that though is it is illegal and that's one of the things Fallout 4 got in baw-scalding water for.
no shade to these girls, because i too give money to ppl i support, but when it comes to courses etc there’s no reason to pay someone if they don’t have a liscense/similar. if they’re not specifically educated on a subject you can find the same information for free guaranteed
“If they’re not licensed you can find the information for free” is honestly a pretty naive sentiment. You can find most information for free. The internet is a big place. Go download some textbooks and get to studying lol
@@shauna6597I think her point is more about paying a *person* who may not have anything valuable to provide if they don’t have a license or tangible education to back them up
She just proved the point of the person who was scammed by straight up saying she would delete negative comments. If she will do that, then she’ll delete negative reviews. And don’t feel bad! She’s running a scam, not a business
Markie, don't ever feel bad for calling out a scammer. Miss thing in her pink fuzzy fluff fluff reminds me of the mlm girls cosplaying the elite. It reads fake, it reads narcissist, her deleting critiques & calling them "cyber bullying" is deflection and childish. & as an actual auditor professional, she's calling her "product" an audit, but that's not wha it is at all, and not worth wha she's charging.
There are actually people who do personal coaching and consulting for growing your brand and social media influence, they are very good at what they do and expensive enough it's only worth it if you're serious about making your online presence your career or you're a business owner. I have one friend who does it for individuals and small business and another friend who does it exclusively for businesses. But like any coaching or expertise you're paying for, you gotta make sure they're actually good at what they do. Otherwise you're paying for fairy dust and their personal opinions.
I get that sometimes these people start with good intentions and then the reality of it is too hard or too much. No shame in that, but *stop*. Don't keep rolling with something that you can't manage. Apologize, refund and move on. People will respect that so much more than continuing to take their money for nothing.
I have a general rule when I go looking at product reviews or reviews of componies... I set to "lowest to highest" before I do anything else... I know it sounds odd, but I feel more comfritable buying something that at least has a small handfull of negitive reviews attached to it than none at all because if there are no negitive reviews, that tells me someone went cherry picking and dosen't want flaws to be seen. Sure, I might miss out on the best product in the world, or maybe some of the best tacos in the universe, but I also might be dodging a bullet.
I do the same. I also like to see how (particularly businesses) react to those negative reviews. Especially with restaurants I have decided not to go to them based on owner responses in the google reviews. Doesn't matter how good the food is if you are defensive, dismissive, or mean I will move on. I am always particularly interested in responses to well thought out balanced reviews. There is a cocktail house near me that I would really like to try but the ownership destroys anyone that leaves a review less than 3 stars... yeah gonna pass.
Isn't it illegal to have the "audit" be $200+ but be always lowered to $70? She just said matter of fact that they're 70~ which like... Does that mean the sales are fake ???? Giving my pillow guy "sales" vibes
I hope she’s paying her taxes. The IRS doesn’t consider their methods bullying. 😂 I hope she knows that they can and will use this video talking about how many audits she does each week in a case. If she’s scamming influencers, I wouldn’t say it’s too far a jump that she’s probably trying to scam the IRS too.
This why I never buy anything with 0 negative reviews. It means you can't trust the reviews at all, someone's gone in and "curated" them. I'm smart, I can tell the difference between a bad review and a bad product, I don't need a biased conman doing it for me.
The fact that she clearly set the whole business up to be a scam/easy money scheme, and it’s working, is sad. Because she knows there are gullible people in her audience that will take everything she says and does at face value regardless, she will never need to put in any effort. Taking advantage of people who are trying to use your advice to get a leg up in life is really low.
Lol she said in 2024 you can't do the same stuff. Like it's February, people gave barely started to throw out their new years resolutions. Nothing has drastically changed like that 😂
Frankly, I think if an "influencer" deletes a bad review from a client who had paid in full, they should return that money to the client, and post on their own social, "So-and-so bought my [whatever], and left a bad review. I deleted the review and returned the payment, here's the screenshots showing the refund."
Thank you for summarizing this for me. There is some ceramic mug controversy going on on TikTok right now that I just cannot sit through all those videos I hope you summarize it too
Lmao, she's giving herself too much credit. She needs to get off her high horse and touch grass. She claims cyber bullying, but it was nothing but an honest and genuine review. She's sketchy. I don't like her vibe.
Nothing dooms an influencer faster than it being known they have extremely thin skin. People who delete, strike and generally shit talk people they see as beneath them are generally turned on by their audience because no one has time for that bullshit.
I'm glad you pointed out there's free videos for just about everything on CZcams. As much as I don't like their censorship I have learned quite a bit on working on my house and car using CZcams
The thing that bothers me about these people is they don’t commonly have degrees in analytics, marketing, communication, and so they really can’t give an in depth review because their knowledge is limited to their own experience. This is why advertising firms and teams in companies are so important, because they are deeply educated in analyzing this info.
This is giving the vibe of when I lived a a certain apartment complex and I gave a negative review due to how they treat you how they don't fix anything and because of roaches and they just deleted my review and then I understood why they were rated 4½ stars
Once upon a time when I started doing gaming videos on a different channel. I bought a youtube improvement package from one of those "CZcams Experts". Which boiled down to links to articles I had already read about what to do and what I need to do to improve. The only real feedback you could get was to post on the ghost town of a forum and have someone else in your exact same position give their opinion of your channel and work. The verdict? Was a scam. So I got it refunded. If people like this could magically improve your content. They themselves would have millions of followers, wouldnt they?
When the situation is resolved, you should talk about the new Keith Lee drama with Sweetly Seasoned in Dallas,Texas and the nearly $3,000 in tips and money for free food they stole. I already heard everyone else talk about what has happened so far but I just really enjoy your accent lol
If I got that email evaluation 'audit' from her I would right off the bat suspect something was up when I got to the 'a lot of your onscreen text (if there even is any)...' part. That line would make me hugely suspicious. I would wonder if they even looked over the videos, and the letter only goes downhill from there. And it's not a good sign that people delete negative comments on posts. Both they want to look as good as possible to tht general public especially when you're selling something, AND it shows a thin skin.
There's a massive difference between criticism and constructive criticism. This SCAMMER clearly doesn't know the difference... And has the gall to call it cyber bullying! Ugh.
This just sounds like social media consultanting with a different name. I'd assume those are more personalized and involve more than just an email. Calling it an audit just irks me for some reason.
If she lives in the US by deleting negative reviews shes breaking the law. The Consumer Review Fairness act makes it a crime to delete honest reviews to artificially inflate the review score.
I can see people paying for PERSONALIZE social media help which I’m assuming that’s what they were wanting but this email is WILD ! Nothing more than a plug and play template.
This is giving master resell rights. This is the new fad with buying a course be being able to re name it and resell it immediately to begin profiting.
I can completely understand why someone would want a review. You can learn so much and apply so many things to your business, but having someone come in to give an objective outside view of things can be invaluable. They can see your strengths and faults that you might not have been able to. When you are too close to things, you become blind to the problem.
As a writing professor of almost 20 years, I understand the concept of “generalized but personalized” when we deal with tons of individuals on a weekly basis expecting feedback. The concept of “common comments” is how we survive, meaning, if the majority of or all students need feedback on the same thing, I’m not rewriting that feedback specifically for each student. They’re absolutely getting a copy/paste because thousands of students make the same mistakes, and I don’t have more than 15 minutes to spend on each paper (the pedagogically recommended amount of time). I will focus on no more than 3 personalized aspects because research has demonstrated time and again that the majority of people cannot constructively respond to more feedback than that in any context. I don’t think anyone in this situation knows what they’re doing or how feedback/assessment works.
I took an online class with a Disney animator. He made sure to limit the amount of students who took his class so that he can properly help us and reviewed our animations. There's no reason that she can't limit the amount of audits she sells if it's too much for her to handle. She doesn't care about helping people. She only cares about money.
I know someone who is a "linkedin influencer" who sells plans like this for £100 a go and offers advice like , update your profile, post regularly, comment on trends. And charges £100 for this 🤦♀️. So not surprised at all by all this.
I have so much random info in my mind of horrible people I dont know or heard of doing horrible things for money! Hope my brain doesn't run outta space.
I had a friend post a negative review on Amazon, and the seller reached out to them and offered to give a refund if they would delete the review. That's terrible...
“None of your business” when it’s literally her business that she paid for this scammer to audit. You made it her business when you took her money for your barely altered boilerplate email.
My question is what exactly are her qualifications to give “feedback” and tips for social media audits?? Because I am NOT paying a random social media stranger that is claiming to make my profiles “viral” if they don’t have any training to schooling…
I do social media and website audits and it's $225. And you know what my clients get 1 live audit usually 5-7 minutes going over immidiate issues/ and how to fix them, 1 detailed google doc review (largest document I have sent had 29 pages), and another 5 minute video just going over the document. Audits are valuable if they are done right....for 70 dollar an email...is sooo lazy. Generalized but personalized...how? and an audit is a part of a puzzle not the whole solution but it should definitely give the buyer a sense of- "ok this is what I need to do next?" "They should mind their own business." Honey, they gave you money, it is their business. GOD.

If she's in the US, it's also illegal. Look up the Consumer Review Fairness act. Supressing negative reviews can get a business in big trouble.
Found out that's actually illegal. Consumer Protection Act. From Madcatster and that whole Janet The Unhinged Lawyer drama. Deleting negative reviews gives a false impression on the consumer encouraging them to buy and spend their hard earned money when they might not have
Edit: Aaaaand Markie just mentioned Jeanette Braun (Janet the Unhinged Lawyer)
Not sure how I ended up watching TikTok drama, but here I am fully invested 😂
i don’t even use tiktok but i love hearing about the drama through the grapevine
Same here, I can't get enough even though I refuse to touch the app with a 10 foot pole

Asked myself the same question about 20 videos ago 😂🍿
Same. Markie usually draws me into it all the time. I don't know half the people he talks about.😂😂😂😂
I'm so exhausted of people calling cyberbullying because they get called out
Brittany Dawn's scam didn't work so it's wild that this person followed suit. The absolute ego she has to think she could do it *better.*
Oh, I just thought of this, but there was a fitness influencer named Brittany Dawn, who was sued over this exact thing. She lost and ended up owing like a million dollars in restitution. Whoops, I was wrong. She ended up settling for 400,000, but the state was suing her for a million.
Cyber bullying is never ok...Neither is scamming folks.
$70 is ready too much but $500?!
Because we’re 30 days into 2024 and it’s changed so much from 2023. 🤦🏼♀️ What a crock of $hit.
Oh my goshhhhh I didn’t even NOTICE the pink box, white subtitles 😭😭
I didn’t even realize she had text there until you mentioned. I couldn’t even see it. Lol
no shade to these girls, because i too give money to ppl i support, but when it comes to courses etc there’s no reason to pay someone if they don’t have a liscense/similar. if they’re not specifically educated on a subject you can find the same information for free guaranteed
Out of hundreds of reviews she has 18 that were nice😂😂😂
I also check to see if certain youtubers who have proven to be trustworthy have reviewed it
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In this game, scam people and lose everything.
“Generalised but personalised” ?? That’s a contradiction and a half😂
Isn't it illegal to have the "audit" be $200+ but be always lowered to $70? She just said matter of fact that they're 70~ which like... Does that mean the sales are fake ???? Giving my pillow guy "sales" vibes
I love how you give us all the good TikTok tea so we don’t have to support the platform. You are doing the social media gods work 😂
"i don't have to write down an issue that i see multiple creators missing" yes you do. people are paying you. you literally have to do that
I hate when people refer to themselves as “influencers”.
Nothing has drastically changed like that 😂
Weird how “posting a review I can’t control” is bullying to these influencers now.
Frankly, I think if an "influencer" deletes a bad review from a client who had paid in full, they should return that money to the client, and post on their own social, "So-and-so bought my [whatever], and left a bad review. I deleted the review and returned the payment, here's the screenshots showing the refund."
LOL and her tiktok link on her website is INCORRECT! It leads to an invalid account page!
Thank you for summarizing this for me. There is some ceramic mug controversy going on on TikTok right now that I just cannot sit through all those videos I hope you summarize it too
Oh? Do tell
I love that Jeanette Brawn has come into general usage as a derogatory term as in, "that's very Jeanette Brawn"!
💐🤔♥️🐕🐈⬛😼🇬🇧☕🥖🧀🇪🇺🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌈🇺🇦💐
Lmao, she's giving herself too much credit. She needs to get off her high horse and touch grass. She claims cyber bullying, but it was nothing but an honest and genuine review. She's sketchy. I don't like her vibe.
Nothing dooms an influencer faster than it being known they have extremely thin skin. People who delete, strike and generally shit talk people they see as beneath them are generally turned on by their audience because no one has time for that bullshit.
Social media audits... I gotta give Gen Z credit...they think of creative ways to scam each other...
The internet is the wild, wild west for Scammers.
So many scamming in different ways.
Did we learn nothing from the Brittany Dawn incident? 🤦🏻♀️
Apparently she did learn something…how to scam people! 🤦🏼♀️ now Brittany dawn is scamming people with Jesus
This is so similar from the influencer that sold not personalized “personalized fitness plans” and ended up serving jail time in Texas.
"generalised and personalised" sounds pretty contradictory.
With all the scam money you would think she would hire someone to review her website. Goddamn pastel pink letters on a white background.
When the situation is resolved, you should talk about the new Keith Lee drama with Sweetly Seasoned in Dallas,Texas and the nearly $3,000 in tips and money for free food they stole. I already heard everyone else talk about what has happened so far but I just really enjoy your accent lol
The way she doesn’t address the deleted review part of the situation in her response video lmao wow interesting
Hahaha reminds me of the movie what happens in Vegas quote “handles criticism, poorly ✅” 😂😂 10:36
Lmao "misinformation" but also "I will be deleting comments" 💀
I call this internet Scientology. Especially when they literally call it an “audit” lol
Idk why you’re feeling bad Markie. These people are horrible. The whole influencer thing is one of the worst things to happen to our societies

“My audits are generalised but personalised”. Erm, literally completely opposite things
How does she know what 2024 needs when its been 30 days
How it can be personalized AND generalized at the same time?
Generalized but personalized = modifying a generalized template, deleting what is not relevant, adding words to sound more personal...
Sounds like another lawsuit in the making..
The "on sale" part is also a trick 💯
Ohhhh, this is why I'm not making any money.. I'm honest lol.
The way she’s calling those girls ‘bullies’ for calling her out for scamming people is hilarious 😂
being called out for deleting negative reviews and then deleting negative comments on your response video is wild 🤣
Imagine paying actual money for an in-depth critique of your Instagram account just to get hit with the "Use trending sounds, improve seo" tips.
Love your Videos as always, MARKIE!
The fact that people actually pay that much for a social media review blows my mind.
As a legit digital marketing specialist, most companies will give you an audit for free - and THEN sell you whatever services you need to grow.
“None of your business” when it’s literally her business that she paid for this scammer to audit. You made it her business when you took her money for your barely altered boilerplate email.
She sold her a service. It was personalized, just not as personalized as the customer would like.
My question is what exactly are her qualifications to give “feedback” and tips for social media audits?? Because I am NOT paying a random social media stranger that is claiming to make my profiles “viral” if they don’t have any training to schooling…
Expressing your displeasure with a service with a single negative review is not bullying.
Generalized but personalized...how? and an audit is a part of a puzzle not the whole solution but it should definitely give the buyer a sense of- "ok this is what I need to do next?"
"They should mind their own business." Honey, they gave you money, it is their business. GOD.
Things are hard until they're not starting anything new.
