    I feel like it's important to point out that this is what a relationship built on gaslighting actually looks like. "Gaslighting" as a term has been so diluted with people using it incorrectly that it can result in people completely missing the warning signs when it's genuinely happening to them. But this right here is what it looks like. I'll get down off my soapbox now...
    Also, I know this is very likely a hugely unpopular opinion but I genuinely hope Legion gets some kind of help. It's very clear he's not 100% well mentally and he seems to be heading down a path of complete self-destruction. Most will probably say he deserves it (and they're not necessarily wrong about that if everything in Reesa's account is true) but if he's allowed to just continue acting like this until he does implode, he's going to take plenty of others down along the way. Getting him help will hopefully stop anyone else from being hurt because of him too.

      @@baydiac Exactly! Honestly, very few things in life annoy me as much as people using terms that actually have a fixed and very specific definition incorrectly, especially when it comes to mental health. It's like people who call anyone they don't like a "narcissist" - like...no. Gaslighting - like narcissism, depression, anxiety, triggers, or any of the myriad other terms people latch onto and insist on misusing until they've lost all meaning - is a very specific thing and people constantly claiming "gaslighting" when they just mean lying ultimately only serves to help people who do engage in actual gaslighting behaviour. Because it means the victim is less likely to realise that that's what's happening to them since they've got a false definition in their heads and, if they do realise it and speak out, very few will actually take them seriously.
      As a society we've been through this cycle so many times, you'd have thought we'd learned our lesson by now...

Because in real life, regular, boring, everyday life, everyone has stuff come up sometimes that annoys us and makes things harder. Especially things like buying homes or cars or whatever- things we may not do every day and may not be familiar with all the tiny ins and outs. When we were buying our house a couple of years ago, it was a nightmare. The market was so tight, a house would get listed and I'd basically have to sit on the computer all day, refreshing all the websites and then call my realtor the second they got listed to go see one. Half the time, they'd be gone before the end of that day. One house we actually were closing on and had to have a second inspection for the VA loan who found that the wood floor underside was completely rotten and it was going to be about 50k to replace. The seller wanted to tack that onto the price but hell no- they were selling it for the original price under the illusion that the floor was totally fine. Rather they get off on your adoration and admiration. When we watch a movie there is a point where we forget the world and feel like we’ve become the characters. This is called suspension of disbelief. Most people like to escape through movies, books, video games etc. Narcissists use people in this way to live an alternative life where they are the hero. When you apply for a loan, just for an FYI, the amount approved for includes the interest tacked on for the term of the loan. my car loan approved for 54K my car was 16K but after 72 months it will be 38K So, the amount of the loan is for 38K. Just for those who don't know. But yeah, I didn't realize it was 7 hours. It's nuts.

    • @WookieWoman
      @WookieWoman Před 3 měsíci +2

      What country are you in? In the U.S. they would approve the loan for 16k at whatever percent interest. If you pay a little extra every month, it actually goes toward the principle balance and can lower your payments or pay it off early.

    There's a couple people who have compiled the parts together in compilation videos. One YTer did it in 2 videos: Video 1 is parts 1 - 30 at over 4 hours and Video 2 is 31 - 50-something over 2 hours. I'm into just an hour. Thank you for this bc it was a little daunting to know that I have to watch 7 hours of this situation lol. Markie comes through, as usual! ❤
    Edit: I will still watch the two compilation videos, plus videos of the Husband snd Step-son responses. It's kinda like a "Limited Series" TV show or something and I'm binge watching the "Episodes" aka Parts. I can't believe Im invested in this like that stupid cruise (also covered with several videos by Markie lol).

    15:55 He would seem to get off at letting her down and disappointing her. I don't have to explain how disgusting that is...
    You have no idea how many men get off on humiliating, degrading and disappointing their partner. Not on the BDSM type of degradation but genuinely destroying their mental state and giving them mental disorders. Like for example lying and calling them fat when they're at a normal healthy BMI weight and then making sure their as skinny as Eugenia Cooney. 2. Calling them ugly for days on end so they get plastic surgery.

    25:50 as fucked up as it is.. I think that is actually true. Idk if it varies from state to state, but I live in Pennsylvania and here you have to give someone a 30-day eviction notice. Years ago my mom was nice enough to let someone flop on her couch for like a week or two, found out they were still getting high (they were supposed to be in recovery) and tried to kick them out. They called the cops and the cops literally told my mom that she cant make them leave. She had to go to the courthouse almost an hour away to file for an eviction notice and was then forced to let a junkie liar stay in her house for weeks.
    Needless to say.. I went and stayed there with her and made it as unwelcome and uncomfortable as I possibly fucking could lmao he ended up leaving a week early.

    When I say, this lady had me in a chokehold, wow! I was up past my bedtime, waiting for more parts to be uploaded, I don’t go on TikTok a lot, and usually get my TikTok drama from you and then maybe go check it out on the app, but this one it was wild to watch it unfold in real time. The best part for me about her story was first of off, that it was completely insane, but also it was the way she told it. Saying things like “having someone be responsible for my bills was intoxicating” and “I was pregnant with his child, so I decided I was going to let him lie his way out of this” or just so real and authentic, it really puts you in her headspace better than just saying “looking back that was a red flag“ LOVE ReesaTeesa! I married at 19 and found out two years in that they only married me to hide their gender identity problems.
    Their family had made life hell and to make that treatment stop meant marrying a woman.
