She’s a mortician. She just prepares bodies. She isn’t a medical examiner. She’s not even a coroner. Being a mother doesn’t make you qualified on safety at all.

i know ! but she seems to want to pretend she is some forensic pathologist when she talks about knowing what types of activities cause this/that injuries or death while she doesnt have any certified medical knowledge of injuries, she just prepared bodies for burial/cremation not autopsies or forensic work or anything

I will never forgive her stealing “a morbid minute” from Caitlin Doughty, a youtuber/mortician whose made so many comfortable with the concept of death and help spread the tales of the deceased who are often forgotten or glossed over. Yes, the "im a mother so I know" is such BS. I have a degree in early childhood development so I do know what I'm talking about when I talk about those subjects. My experience as a parent hasn't taught me anything about raising kids, just anecdotal experiences. I know it didn't teach me anything because I've actually been taught about childhood development and I know the difference between personal experience and best practices backed by data, science, and studies run by experts. Way too many parents don't know shit about raising kids, if you need proof, just look at how many parents still spank their kids. I can't stand the "I know what's best for my kid" types, like no, people who study childhood development know what's best for your kid.

The fact that the lawyer did such terrible research before sending out private information to a third party is telling. Can she be sued for doxing someone? Even if the third party was the mother of the person receiving the cease and desist letter, that's no excuse for adding her. Unless someone is under the age of majority or part of a joint entity like a business that might be involved, there's no valid reason to involve anyone else in their legal matters.
Somehow, 'Hey, I'm telling your mother on you' attitude fits, given that commentary that says her word as a mother should be taken over that of someone that is researching, etc. children's products for safety problems. Newsflash, lady, parents do NOT know EVERYTHING.

If a lawyer called in the wellness check, she should find out where he is licensed and file a formal complaint with the bar. The police are officers of the court, as are attorneys. To get them to show up to a person they do not know, the attorney would have to falsify some portion of the request. This isn't like a regular person lying on a police report. This could lead to sanctions or disbarment. 100% she should follow up on this.

In fact, sometimes it's easier to work in such a highly emotive field if you don't also have a personal connection.
Your child status should have no bearing on your ability to perform your job or your trustworthiness and expertise in your profession.

Same. Child free and I've worked in Peds for the past 5 years. Most of my coworkers are also child free.
Every time I have someone say, "I love children, I want to go into Peds!" I chuckle and say, "If you really love children, Peds probably isn't for you."
The job is mostly sticking objects into children against their will, lots of really sick babies, lots of kids who are not happy to see you or be there. It's all to make them healthy, but it's not always fun for the kid. I've seen people have babies and leave Peds, because becoming a parent themselves made it too hard to do the job.
Working in Peds involves striking the perfect balance between liking children enough to enjoy interacting with them, but not being so invested that you will get upset making them cry. Not to say I enjoy hurting children - I don't - but I don't let it bother me because I know everything I'm doing is ultimately for their benefit. I'm happy to be the bad guy so Mommy and Daddy can be the hero for their child.
Sometimes that balance is easier to strike when you aren't a parent yourself.

When all the shit happened with that man that was a car seat expert, it really made me sick. And I felt so bad for him. She literally was saying the most horrific (and homophobic) things about him. Made me despise her. So glad she’s FINALLY getting her karma. And like her whole ‘I’m bisexual!’ Shit is soooo dumb. Some of the most violently hateful/homophobic people are actually a part of the LGBT community. Genuinely a disgusting and INSANE person.

Yes! I've gotten more hate from within our own community for being pan than I have from the straight community! Mostly from bi people!

same here! so much of the community promotes 'sex positivity', which is obviously a really good thing!! but as an aroace person, the amount of times i've seen asexuality ignored, brushed aside/under the carpet, or even told that it doesn't matter because 'love and sex are intertwined' is... far too many times to count, and it's incredibly tiring. how is it that my (straight) mother's reaction to my being aroace ('huh. okay, love you.') was more accepting than some of the community?

I love how the lawyer acts like copyright strikes can't be abused on platforms like TikTok and CZcams, the latter of which is notorious for having an automated system that some claim has an automated appeal and review process on top of being increasingly anti-user/antagonistic towards content creators...

Aw I love Kitti's videos, it sucks she got dragged into this drama. She's great, she's got a lot of videos helping women to get creepy men to leave them alone and her sense of humor is hilarious.

Yeah....the crap Ms Braun Esq. has pulled, could potentially get her disbarred. She shared someone's private information with a 3rd party without properly verifying things first. That's a HUGE no no.

The attorney looks a lot like Lauren in the face, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out she's just using her because this is a relative who will do her bidding for free. That's why she hasn't retained a less... unhinged lawyer.

I literally thought that WAS Lauren until I saw the "Braun Law Firm" sign behind her (in what appears to be her house?).
