The ethic of Islam conquest, beautiful story must read and pass to others, jazak allah Khair.
A lot of rumors spread about the founder of Samarkand. Some referred to the mother of its founder, Kikaus ibn Kaykubad, and others indicated that its founder was Alexander the Great. Concerning the Islamic conquest and the Mongol invasion and many of the various historical events that made it one of the prominent cities that many seek to know its true story, and through the following we explain the events of the Islamic conquest of Samarkand.
During the caliphate of the Commander of the Faithful Omar bin Abdul Aziz, may God have mercy on him, and in the year 87 AH, 705 AD, Samarkand was conquered by Qutayba bin Muslim al-Bahili, who was known for his great strength and various conquests, and Samarkand was conquered next to the territory of Transoxiana.
But Qutaiba had conquered the country without inviting the people of Samarkand to Islam or taking a tribute from them, and he did not give them three, as was the custom of the Islamic conquests.
As soon as the letter reached the Sultan and he read it, he ordered Qutaiba bin Muslim to be summoned to the Judicial Council in order to investigate the matter, and in the Judiciary Council, the boy called: (O Qutaiba!) without using any titles.
The judge asked the Samarkandian priest about his complaint, so the priest told him that the Muslim army led by Qutaiba had attacked the city without prior warning, and did not invite the people of the city to Islam or demand a tribute. And many countries around them refused to convert to Islam or pay the tribute.
The judge indicated that this hadith is Qutaiba’s admission of his guilt, and thus the court ended, and the judge said: “O Qutaiba, God has not helped this nation except by avoiding treachery and establishing justice.” For this reason, the judge ruled that the Muslim army will leave Samarkand, and it will expel the Muslims, children and women who entered it with the conquest, and that Muslims should warn its people before the conquest.
The priest did not believe the mother, and returned to tell the people of the city and the priests about the matter and narrate what he saw in the Muslim countries, and a short time after the issuance of the ruling, he heard the voices of Samarkand, voices rising and flags waving, and it was said that the ruling had been implemented and the Muslim army was withdrawing from the city.
After these events and the confirmation of the validity of Islam and that it is the religion of truth, the priests of Samarkand and the people of Medina came out in crowds towards the Muslim camp while chanting the shahada (testimony that there is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God).
After that, some temples in Madinah were transformed into mosques for performing prayers, and teaching the people of Madinah the teachings of Islam
As for the Abbasid era, the city reached its most prosperous days, and this was during the era of the Caliph, who relied on God, and the Caliph had adopted Samarkand as the capital of the country beyond the river, and it continued as the capital of the country until the era of Prince Ahmed bin Ismail, who adopted Bukhari as the capital of the country.
From this point of view, the two cities were able to become of a vigorous period that bears many distinctive social and civilizational cultures, and the country continued to flourish until a time under the rule of Al-Khwarizmiya during the reign of Sultan Alaeddin Muhammad bin Takash, who invaded beyond the river and took control of Samarkand in the year 606 AH. 1209 AD.

Is that independent yardstick natural or supernatural??
We have no evidence of supernatural, but we have a ton of evidence for natural. It's only logical to believe this independent yardstick is natural.

Observable reality is the yardstick of reasonable people. The idea that we should judge reality based on a supernatural yardstick is not one that warrants indulgence any more than other supernatural claims.

    • @michaelevans4110
      @michaelevans4110 Před rokem

We can reasonably use the natural which leads to the supernatural.
Eg: The hard problem of consciousness.
Subatomic particles are not observable but many believe via testimony of scientists, that they exist.
Therefore testimony is a viable route to truth.
The argument for the "necessary being", the Creator of the Cosmos/universe is another route to belief in God.
The inimitability of the Qur'an another route to belief in God, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Hand-wave all you want, heaven or hellfire await regardless.
Study of Islam would be wiser as brother Shabir emphasizes.

    • @divinity176
      @divinity176 Před rokem +2

@@michaelevans4110 No, it doesn't lead to the supernatural at all. Mentioning a few things we don't yet understand does nothing to support the supernatural, it just confirms there are things we don't yet understand which nobody disputes. Of all the things that were once not understood and attributed to the supernatural that subsequently became known - it never turned out to be the supernatural. Not a single time. As a default answer for the unknown, the supernatural has been wrong every single time a test became available.

Can someone explain how hell could possibly be literal? The descriptions of hell are the most hideous, gruesome, and awful punishments you can think of. Forget about disbelieving people for a moment (who by the way will probably be most of the people who have ever lived), let’s talk about believers for a moment. Even believing people will enter hellfire, and their bodies will burn - think about that for a moment - and not even with any kind of fire, but fire that is kindled over millions of years, to be so hot that it’s black. How does that correspond to there being a merciful God. Furthermore, that torture and punishment doesn’t just happen for a moment but for thousands of years, yet most people don’t live past 80-90. How can that be just? I’ve heard the hypothetical argument that if the sinner were to return to earth they would repeat their sins over and over, but what does that have to do with committing actual sins? Doesn’t God not do injustice by an atoms weight? I am speaking as a Muslim and really struggling to get my head around these things, so if anyone has any persuasive explanations please post them here.

      Hello terence
You said 2 things that incorrect
Number 1 most of the people will go to hell fire and that is not true
Number 2 that the sinner if they come back to earth they will commit the sin over and over again and that also incorrect
The verse you are referring to is talking about the disbelievers if they come back to earth they will disbelieve over and over again so the verse talks about the disbelievers not sinners

    • @ahmedadawy1238

      One more thing
Our prophet Muhammad pbuh said in the hades that if you (people) don't do sins Allah will erase you and get new people that do sins and repent in order to forgive them
And this hades don't mean that you go and commit more sins but to know that we all have our sins but the most important is to repent
and Allah said in the Quran that he forgive all the sins except worship other than him so be optimistic brother and in sha Allah you will go to the paradise :)

A muslim is a believer so he believes when Allah most High says He is Most Merciful, and do not do injustice even to the least. So believe in Allah and do not contradict in your belief.
Eternal hell is for disbelievers do never wish to believe. So their wish is eternal and likewise the punishment.

      It has no contradictions.
It contains challenges which are still unanswered.
      It has historical miracles
      It has scientific miracles
      It has linguistic miracles
      It has structural miracles
      It has numerical miracles
      It's grammar is absolutely perfect
      It has beautiful reading sounds.
It tells about the unknown past, the present and the future.
It urges mankind to use our brain.
It also brings up some very interesting questions for humanity to ponder on, especially atheists.
Questions such as "Did you create yourself or did you create the universe?"
Quran also ask "How can you disbelieve in God when you were non existent before....?"
      My humble opinion
We have evidence for all of the above and more..
