So we're covering Sydney Prescott and company and look at the franchise that Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson made legendary. So has it been a while and need to catch up? I still think Scream 3 would have been amazing if they kept Angelina as the 2nd killer.
And they cut so many important scenes from Scream 4. The fan edit is so good.

WHY ARE Y'ALL HERE IF U HAVEN'T SEEN IT? It was spoiled for me on a random video days ago when I scrolled down 😞(not this channel btw). It was still my mistake though. Make the time an go see it, it came out over 10 days ago! If ur busy with work or school then u should be avoiding the comment section on YT period - especially a Scream video lol

At the end of the day the master of suspense has a franchise that's going strong in the right direction almost a decade after his death. That is a master who brought upon us a truly special horror series. R.I.P Wes Craven❤️

Scream 1: Sideny
Scream 2: Sidney
Scream 3: Tyson (that carpet pulled from under him was hilarious)
Scream 4: Kirby and Jill (I love how messed up she makes herself at the end)
Scream 5: Sam (brutal killing on Richie was amazing) and Amber (she reminds me of my ex minus the killing part. lol)
Scream 6: Sam (every time she goes psycho, I love it)

I would argue there hasn’t been a bad Scream movie. 3 suffered because of Columbine and studio meddling. Still enjoyable in my opinion.
I’m glad that scream franchise is back after a long period of decades which was eleven years then between 2015-2019 there was scream tv series which also brought in new generations.
Scream 1 I watched at home back in 96 & it still scared me lol. Scream 3 is a favorite for me because it was the first I got to see in theater. It was so much better that way. The franchise is special to me because I was their age when it started, it felt relatable
Everyone got all moist when Cabin in the Woods came out - "It's subverting tropes, GET IT???" - when the Scream franchise had been doing it much longer, and much, much better.
Hands down my favorite slasher movies. I just met neve Campbell and got her autograph! Unforgettable movies!

I am trying to focus on the cinematic universe and you pop off with something that shouldn't even make me laugh....but it did!
I feel like in universe considering so many crazies have tried to emulate the "Stab" movies that any studio would avoid another entry. They got so meta with the concept that it really went off the rails. We don't see stories of killers in Jason masks or dressed like Michael Myers
I love all of them, especially 4 it was the most shocking reveal to me, after all that Sidney’s remaining family turned on her and her aunt was killed by Charlie per order of Jill, the thought of fame drove jill to unspeakably horrific acts

Just have two corrections. Richie was stabbed 22 times and Scream 4 came out in April 2011 not 2010. Great video tho! My favorite character is Kirby Reed, and favorite scary movie has to be Scream followed by Joy Ride with Paul Walker

Great list, but in defense of “Scream 3,” Parker Posey as Jennifer Jolie iconic. She chews every single scene she is in and is the only to get that tone of Ehren Kruger’s script: it’s literally campy, schlocky, suspense thriller and no one but the trio of Sidney, Dewey and Gale understood that. (Deon Richmond is pretty good too.)

I have a theory what if Billy and sid had a child in between scream 1 and 2 ? Sid give her child up for adopted?will scream 7 be super close to scream 3 ? Or Will sid Billy child following in sid footsteps opposite to roman jill Billy Debbie?
It's the most consistent horror franchise besides Psycho. I think its characters and storylines make it relatable and the best franchise.
I don't know why Scream 3 gets hated on sure it's kinda Scooby Do-ish but it's still a fun time!

Season 1/2 Brandon James (duology) loved that mask scarier and the voice actor were perfect successors
Season 3 is a stand alone hard reboot
If anyone to ask it’s basically like scooby doo with bumbling killer that trips a lot with family issues which made Hollywood millions over actually character development than snuffy 80’s character in a bloody skin flick.

I have a theory for scream 7 Roman Sid brother should have a kid that no one knows about since Roman was the master mind of all of this he shows Billy of his dad and Sid mom together and that what made Billy become a serial killer so the next Ghost face should be Roman kid and Sam together since there dad had some mommy issues remember Billy mom left and Roman mom who is also Sid mom denied him and that's what made them both go crazy remember Sid did kill both of there fathers 😮

I love scream 3,idgaf what anybody says.
On the contrary Scream 3 brought the whole trilogy together. I would say 4 would be the one you can leave out. It didn't really connect to the first three or to the last two. And the killers in 4, 5 and 6 were kind of terrible too
This is the only horror franchise where the worst flick is just boring popcorn fare.
Not a single film feels like a waste of time.

I know the video is only talking about only the movies but the franchise had 19 "Ghostface" killers :).
i feel like a lot of the Scream movies aren't a whodunnit so much as they are a last 20 minutes retcon of the previous 80 minutes to just cut and paste in some convoluted true character reveal and nonsense motive that had zero clue or buildup. You never feel like you're on the detective journey of discovering who the killer is and why, you're just waiting to see who is the brother/sister/father/etc. of someone who came before and wants psychotic revenge. At least in Scream 1, Sidney's mom's "proclivities" were a backstory they kept coming back to with the whole Gale/Cotton angle, so it made sense it would come to the surface
5 has memorable characters? Did I watch the same movie? Wes, Liv (there was an Olivia in 4, so that’s kind of silly to name two characters the same name back to back), and Amber were barely characters. 4 has meh characters too, but they at least had roles that made sense. Wes was barely in the film, was a little bit of a shock to me since he is played by a notable actor compared to some of the others. Liv was just a girlfriend who barely got screen time, let alone character. Amber was only interesting by the 3rd act, but because she barely got anything to do before then, it was completely obvious that she was a Killer. And the sad thing is, the original script had better kills and definitely gave these bland kids at least more to do. And there wasn’t really red herrings, which Scream is just as much a mystery based series as it is a slasher. So I’m sorry, it’s very boring compared to the others, including 3, which was a mess by the time it came out due to violence being seen at that time, while 5 was a mess for no real reason. I’m glad 6 was good, because I worried Radio Silence was just really bad at making Scream films.
I’ll skip 4 tbh , 6 is definitely the goat of all the sequels to me

don't know why Scream 2 doesn't get the flack that Scream 3 does. I find Scream 2 almost unwatchable after the opening, with Scream 3 being ever so slightly watchable.
It depends on the viewer and their tastes. The chases and suspense in the second sold it for me but I love the campiness of the third

Will be honest…. Just like the first 3….. tried getting into the latter sequels…. Didn’t do it for me!
In 4, the closing line is "don't fuck with the original", and then 5 and 6 proceed to fuck with the original.

The reveal in 6 was horrible. It was about as bad a 5.
I don't think it is as much of a problem anymore, but I do wish that Scream went harder on the killers in the genre basically being vigilante puritanical weirdos. I can never understand why Jason/his mother are such beloved killers. Jason dies in an accident, then they start blaming it on everyone else with weird moral hypocrisy. Somehow it's okay to sin (kill) if you're killing sinners? The motive was so common in slashers and it is so regressive, like why would you cheer on kills because someone lost their virginity or is drinking at a party? I think a common thread not through movies, but actual real life mass murderers is that they're motivated by feeling victimized, but it's always in their own head. The mass shooters will leave behind manifestos where they whine about racist things or whine that women reject them. It's so pathetic. I would love a Scream movie where there is commentary on that. Where they expose these killers are being losers who blame everything on everyone else. The opening of 6 had that monologue about not even seeing victims as human, but then it didn't really build on that idea.

When I got to this part of the video...I was actually surprised they didn't even mention her, considering I've see so many people say she is literally the best part of Scream 3 and I feel like she is definitely a fan favorite...also her chemistry with both Gale and Dewey is so good!!
