I spent my childhood with a mortal fear of an inevitable zombie apocalypse, because my aunt had told me at a very impressionable age that it could happen.
Oddly enough, it was a combination of beating the original Resident Evil , and watching a Monstervision double-feature of NotLD ‘90 and Return of the Living Dead 2 with Joe Bob sort of talking me through the experience that broke me of it, and turned the crippling fear into an interest.
Skip ahead a decade and some change, and I was waiting in a three-hour line at Horrorhound to get George Romero himself to sign a Day of the Dead poster a few years before he passed, and it will stay on my wall until I myself eventually join the ranks of the living dead.

I've seen all of these movies more times than I can count, and though it took me a really, really, really long time Day of the Dead is the magnum opus, in my opinion. Everything about that movie is actually perfect, the claustrophobia, the gore effects, the hopelessness, the acting, the character work. It is all really, really good. And yes, Sarah is strong from the start, but throughout the movie she has moments of regret or weakness that really give her more life than is initially apparent. But what really makes Day of the Dead, not only the best in the series but one of the greatest horror movies of all time, is the score. The intense melancholy in the Day of the Dead score is absolutely phenomenal, blending aspects of dystopian horror with child-like wonder in a way that no other OST ever has. Much like Bub, the flesh-eating, child-like monster, the Day of the Dead score is both terrifying and comforting, in a way that makes it even more unsettling.
If you've never just listened to the soundtrack, without the movie, give it a listen on youtube, preferably the vinyl, and just drift away to a place unlike any other you have ever visited.

I have to tell you this That you should know that diary and the dad goes back to his beginnings on the first week of how the dead was just beginning to come out of the Browns and all that so it will give us bit more of a backstory of them if you only put night of living dead before diary of the dead, and also with the other ones that will be with Don the dead and Day of the dead and the best way to put the remake of night of the living dead 1990 I was only 10 that one came out and the only way to understand the Tom line is to do it like this
    Rising of the dead
    Night of the living dead
    Diary of the dead
    Dawn of the dead
    Riots of the dead
    Day of the dead
    Survival of the dead
    Night of living, dead, 1990
    Roads of the dead
    Land of the dead
    Twilight of the dead
This is the list that I know how it goes according to me but if you wanna refute that or if you want to examine my timeline, then go ahead when I have to tell you diary of the dead is actually during the breakout or just say the initial outbreak when it was just beginning to happen yeah, I know it looks like it is The new day and time I am saying that it kind of looks like that but it’s really not just goes back to the first few weeks of the initial invasion so a part of it so it would have to take place before Dawn of the dead explain it well, then feel free to use the comment if you like or you can use my comment and my timeline as far as we know it to be, the other movies still stands there’s some that don’t exist yet, but they will be. There will be a pretty cool because the son of George Romero announced that he’s going to be doing a prequel, but I am going to write it, and I’m gonna make sure that he gets the hell that he deserves, so what do you think about that if you like the idea of this for a video, feel free to talk about it and also include my timeline as far as I know where of the dead stands where it’s supposed to be with night of the dead and diary of dead, and Dawn dead the other Dad will be taking place a little later in time so there will be another movie in between them. They’ll lead to the events of riots of the debt so that would be the one to do for Tom Savini. So feel free to use my Comet and my tall wine because I did talk with the idea that he would come out of retire and he said that he wouldn’t mind coming back to do in our movie as long as I get the chance to shine with both Savini and Merrell Junior so it’s like I said you can use my comment if you like and you can definitely can use my reference for the timeline purposes for the video. If you want to do that that’s fine because survival dead is not a direct sequel. I would have to say a dark sequel to survival of the day was have to be twilight of the dead Susanna Romero told me that she is going to help complete her husband‘s work that she is glad to know me as a fan of her husband and the movies he made least you give him credit for making a timeline for us to go off of so feel free to use my comment and towline for the purposes for the video for a video idea that you can do watching and listening so feel free to make that video and I hope that you can do it by request and also buy me go to the list of how I saw the timeline because I believe that twilight of the dead is going to take place after 1999 of the living dead because it did a reference when Tom Hollis said this
Dammit, we heard this shit from before
He was referencing to the original movie when he said that, so technically, this one is more as a sequel more than alien else than a remake so I think that this one will be take place either in between survival all the dead, and to get place in 19 889 for that one then 1994 Tom Savini remake known as Night of the living Dad 1990 for twilight of the dead I’m thinking that will be taking place in the year of 1995 not as the ending of the war I am thinking that this wanted to take a place before land of the dead and road of the dead Would have to go either before or after it, but I will say after land of the dead because of the elsewhere then the funnel battle would have to start somewhere that one leads to wars of the dead. I’m just guessing and giving more into this, but exactly what I said feel free to use what I have to say here in your comment section and also use it for your video And request by saying so and maybe you can use it for a video and the timeline I have given you for free to do so

No mention of The Walking Dead, which is a glorious homage to the Romero zombie genre with at least several Kick-Ass seasons and at least one very badass bad guy.

Something has always bothered me about that very first zombie in Night of the Living Dead. He attacks Johnny, but doesn’t try to bite him. After Johnny dies, he isn’t compelled to start devouring Johnny. As a matter of fact, he immediately chases after Barbara. And he was cognizant enough to try to smash her car window with a rock. He does show up with a horde later at the farmhouse, but….
Is there any possibility that the first zombie in Night wasn’t a zombie but just some crazed, homicidal lunatic??

    You are spouting misinformation.
    1) Yes the original title was Night of Anubis, then it was changed to Night of the Flesh Eaters but there as a film with The Flesh Eaters title so they changed it again to Night of the Living Dead.
    2) The public domain thing was NOT the mistake of Romero and company. It was the mistake of the Walter Reed Organization who was the original distributor of the film. They forgot to put the copyright on the film when the title was changed from Night of the Flesh Eaters to Night of the Living Dead.
    3) It is true that Romero and Russo couldn't agree what to do with the series after Night. But Russo got the rights to The Living Dead moniker and Romero had to use Of the Dead moniker.
    4) Night wasn't successful at first. It was Europe who made it popular when it reached over there and then it got a 2nd look in North America which was the very early 1970's.
Can you do a little better research next time?

I love the good Romero Dead films. The biggest sin of Survival is that it was boring. Diary was good, not up to snuff with his earlier work.
Other franchise I want covered? How about the Maniac Cop franchise? My favorite slasher villain, besides Jason Voorhees.

"Critics", my kingdom for a "critic" who remembers that the words "In my opinion" exist for a reason. Mostly to respect the fact that other's opinions are just as valid. It means a lot when you're telling folks "to skip this or that" and that "Films aren't worthy of even mentioning or giving a spotlight to", and other such arrogant and self absorbed lines. I enjoy several of those "not worth a spotlight mention" a great deal. So there. Here's to never being so jaded and critical I forget how to just love watching more than a handful of films or thinking myself a "critic"..lmao Land and Diary are decent fun, 2008 Day of The Dead is hilarious silly fun, Bloodline is silly fun too. AND I prefer Savini's NightOTLD and Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead remakes BETTER than the originals, I just have more fun with them. oooo how's that for an opinion..LMAO

Would anyone start. Lead a group/community like in TWD? What kind of character would you see yourself as? I took a quiz and i ended being Rick Grimes. I still see myself as a wingman more than leader of a group. Like Daryl or even Abraham. My friends and i always talked what we would and go to survive.

Dawn of the Dead 2004 remake has the best aesthetic in any zombie movie, my second favorite, first 28 Days Later but without Romero we wouldn't have any of them, the og Trilogy hasn't been surpassed on a script quality level but i hope we have good original zombie movies inspired by Romero's original work and not some stupid Resident Evil or The Walking Dead spinoff

Zombie was uttered only twice in the series. First in Dawn and later in Land, yet the narrator here uses it with regularity. Irritating and for certain not a slice of fried gold.

Diary of the Dead was horrible. Survival of the Dead was so so. It was shot beautifully but the story meh.
Night of the Living Dead 1990 remake was excellent. The issue with some of the entries is way too much social commentary. Thats why the Original Night of the Living Dead was so captivating. There was just people trying to survive zombies, nothing more

In the original it's the Father, they have a whole conversation about Mother not wanting to visit as it's too far for her to go. In the 1990 remake it's the Mother.
