Why Train to Busan is a PERFECT Zombie Movie

  • Zombie movies these days don't focus on their characters nearly as much as they should, but the Korean hit Train to Busan perfectly wove a simple story of a zombie outbreak on a train, showing a condensed but thrilling experience that develops Seok-Woo and leaves a memorable mark.

Hey guys sorry if you get a ton of notifications for my Train to Busan videos, I had a false copyright strike on my channel for my "Why Train to Busan is a PERFECT zombie movie" and wanted to make sure my channel would be alright. Thanks for understanding and STAY WOW!
So I had to reupload this about 23 times in order to appease the copyright system, BUT it sup and ready for your viewing pleasure! Hopefully it doesn't need to be edited any further, but if in the future a scene feels short or weird, its because I had to cut a scene because of further copyright issues. Ill be getting back to why you wouldn't survive and zombie sins content next week! Thanks y'all for your patience, stay wow!~

Maybe a series where You give review to zombie characters from 1-5 where 5 is worth to follow? Any character that will appear at least twice would be counted, but from Your personal perspective as normal human, not brave amazing soldier, You could also do the same about games characters but depending on cutscenes, would be amazing to see it on Your channel ^^ - Just another b*llshit request :D

My main takeaway from this review is the reflection on Korean culture, also some other layers I didn’t notice, such as the MC and assistant pulling funds, potentially help starting the disaster. Also, about how the younger generation are the first ones to deal with choices made by the older generation. But a point made in this video is about the cultural view of protecting the group over the individual. With this in mind, it makes sense that the “good” characters sacrificed themselves for the most vulnerable, which is the pregnant woman and also a small child. I absolutely adore this movie and this is a very well thought out video.

When the Selfish Guy slowly turned, I really felt him. He was definitely born into riches, he was well-connected, if there was a problem, he threw money at it, or pulled strings to get out of it. In the apocalypse, none of that mattered, there was absolutely nothing he could do once he got bit.
For once in his life, he couldn’t get out of it, and as it dawned on him, he seemed to lose his willpower and let it take him.

Years later i still cry just hearing the retelling of events. This movie really is one of the best in history. The fact that its entirely in korean and speaking about korean/east asian culture and is still able to be so deeply touching to someone (a lot of people) who has never set foot in that part of the world (though i would love to and am slowly learning korean in my spare time) is impressive.
Everyone on set did an amazing job and the cast worked together so beautifully, their chemistry felt like real people interacting and there wasnt one character i was tired of seeing. Yes, even the awful horrible business man. I audibly sighed whenever he came up on screen but it just proves the actor did an amazing job with his portrayal, he felt real and presented a very real threat to our heros. As much as i despise the character for his actions, he was a very needed part of this movie imo.
Dont even get me started on Kim Su-an (the little girl playing the mc's daughter). Such a good actress despite her age. Also i had such a crush on Wooshik (the baseball dude) and continue to love him in anything i see him in (the witch, parasite ect.). Such an amazing cast.

Yeah, there's only so many happy endings one can take though. It's like the game trope that raycevick talked about. Saving the world, you can only do that so many times before it becomes routine, stale, and you get bored. That's why i like games from Yoko Taro, and in recent times, Hideo Kojima with Death Stranding. Because the story and ending isn't entirely a happy one. It's more bittersweet. And with Yoko Taro, his stories are sometimes just downright fuckin' depressing. But that's what i like about him, his stories aren't always happy endings and "oh we saved the world, happy day!" Like no, it's much darker and i like that because it's a little more realistic and compelling.

The part that really made my eyes tear up the most was when the little girl grabbed onto her father’s sleeve begging him to not leave her behind. That shit hurt my soul. Like I felt that anxiety. It hit harder when the father started crying with his daughter, he tried to put on a brave face for his daughter but he couldn’t once he fully let his fears and anxiety set in. That made it feel so real for me.

If you think that homeless folks aren't helpful to just about everyone. Go meet a homeless person because you are so incredibly wrong. I would trust my life to the homeless way before I would trust my wallet to a guy in a expensive suit.

Oh yeah if ever the rich asshole tries to take control because of their ego, when competence actually matters. Ask them what a gallon of milk costs. If you actually can't even feed yourself without paying someone, you lose the right to even speak in a survival situation.
