    Thank you so much!! Our dishwasher stopped working 2 days a go. I took the warranty but it would take the company 2-3 weeks to process the claim. My wife is doing university full time + we got a new born baby. After watching ur video it took me 30 mins to fix the machine. It had a small piece of glass stuck in the motor. Never repaired an appliance thx to you my wife is proud of me 😅

    I have the exact, same problem & error-code, however, the pump works & stepper-spring resistance seems strong. It is a 22 yo washer, which worked fine, then suddenly didn't. So how do you know if it's the pump? Thanks. Great video. -mc

    Thank you so much. mine stopped working and did not have the money for a new one nor to hire some one. I took my pump off and sure enough there was a coke tab blocking the motor. You save me a bunch of money.

    Was very helpful. Different model but Basically the. same layout. When I pulled the drain motor off there was a piece of broken coffee cup in it keeping it from draining. Put back together works fine

    Thanks. I didn't have to change the pump but I needed to figure out how to remove it since I had something lodged into the impeller.

    You didn't check for voltage at the old pump. That's what I'm trying to figure out how to do.. test the old one before I buy a new one. I can't figure out how to get voltage to the pump without it actually running. Basically, I don't understand how to troubleshoot/test old pump.

      Cut a power cord. Connect the black wire to one terminal, white to the other. Plug in the cord. If it spins the pump is good.

    We have a samsung dishwasher bought brand new in 2017. Worked for a year, then error code 3C came on after. The dishwasher starts, runs for about 10 minutes, then hums up and down and just flashes 3C code with water left in bottom. 3c indicates drain pump, which we replaced, but problem continues. It does drain when cycle is canceled. I checked drain filter and its all clear. Any insight?

    Removed my drain pump a while ago because of not draining and found rubbish stuck in the pump. Had to do it a second time but pump doesn't feel tight in the housing. Could I have broken over of the tabs and should I replace the pump?

  • @ononearts
    @ononearts Před rokem +2

    There was no diagnosing involved, unless you call “let’s replace this bit and see if it works” a diagnosis. Perhaps you should correct the title of your video. 😐

    Hi, if the pump failed, wouldn’t there a lot more water sitting at the bottom? I watched strong flow of water into the disposer but when it finished, there is water sitting at the bottom.

      @@louie1487 I didn’t do any repair. I believe my wife select a other-than-normal cycle and let it complete the cycle. No more standing water since.

    Matt thank you for making this video...i dont have a new model no fancy digital lights or any filters to clean. Mine is an older GE PERMATUF POTSCRUBBER 700 WITH TEMPERATURE SENSOR...it doesnt completely drain on every cycle ...it runs through normal cycles but it stops draining each cycle before it should. I open the door look inside then shut the door it then begins to suck more water and then stops sucking out water and continues to move to the next cycle...HELP. i am a widower with very very little money and i cant afford to call a repairman out because i only have 900 a month total to live on. And i have a child and 2 cats and 1 large dog. I big truck car insurance 98.00 plus 350.00 annual registration plus 80.00 for star smog compliance and i cant even afford property taxes of 4,500 a year. So what can i do to fix this? The drain hose from dishwasher goes to the air gap and the air gap has a hose that goes to sink drain..
