What a phenomenally well produced video! Thank you, guys :)
Thank you I was quoted nearly $600 to do this repair. Found an unused assembly on eBay for $100 and did it myself.
@davidkrausz Hi David, where did you find that piece for $100?
Thank you for this video. We fixed our dishwasher.
Great
You're welcome!

We hope that you have a great day!
Great video. My unit, Samsung DW80F600UTS, is making a very loud noise while washing, I suspect this whole assembly needs to be replaced. I will do it myself, the challenge is to find this assembly for less than $200!!
This why I recommend Whirlpool
This is a whole lot of work to do this job Samsung!
I mixed the wiring up on reassembly, probably. Everything is working great, but it is stuck in the drying cycle with the Heavy light flashing. Any idea which wires? Thanks for all the help!
When I turn my dishwasher on, I hear it click on as it should, I hear the "hum" that happens before it starts draining, but it doesn't subsequently drain. The backflow valve was twisted. I fixed that. It still won't drain. Is it likely this repair that's needed? Or do you think there's a clog in the drain line? It smells awful.
The washer fills with water I hear the pump trying to send water but nothing comes out, it there anything I should check before replacing the whole thing??
My 2 yr old dishwasher stopped washing. Repairman said motor was locked up. Our city water is artesian well water full of minerals. Needless to say, it gunked up a nice dishwasher! The part is about 250, so I would definitely try to DIY. I can't afford a new dishwasher. Btw, this replaced a year old washer due to motor failure. Any suggestions as to keep this from happening again. I can't afford a water softener system or a new dishwasher every 2 yrs.
any videos available for the Samsungs with the "Water Wall" feature ?
What's the part number for the capacitor?
What are the symptoms that this repair is based upon? My dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes properly. When I open it there is hot water and steam but dishes not cleaned. I’m not getting any error codes
Do you have to change the pump and motor together. In my case the motor is fine and the pump is the issue.
change the pump
Now I need the parts. Great professional video, I wish was done on a used washer so see how they take care of the grime and ware out parts.
+Francisco Perez Del Rincon We sell parts. www.repairclinic.com?TLSID=1773
I’m buying a Whirlpool
Who is going to pay for a job like this? It's worth more than the dishwasher in parts, service call, and labor. If I'm wrong. Please reply.
I'm doing one tomorrow. The answer is people who are selling the house and don't want to buy a new one and pay the installation.
So what I have learned is my Samsung dishwasher is a piece of junk! After only three years
True 👍
Yup. Mine is cooked as well after three years. No way it is worth it to do this repair unless you could get the parts really cheap. Just get a new one.
What are the chances that it is only the starting capacitor that is bad? Yet, I can not find just that part for sale anywhere!!
I have never seen a dishwasher needing a capacitor for the wash motor? Why is it there? To help it jump start? I'm beginning to believe Samsung products suck. Too many parts that break easily
Why bother to fix it. The assembly costs almost as much as a new machine
You forgot to reconnect the capacitor wire
I have never seen an appliance with more repair videos. This machine is an absolute piece of shit. Never again.
The video is good however what a poor design by Korean engineers..to get access to 80% of the functional parts requires a technician to remove the dishwasher from installation and that's very time consuming.
I HATE SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!!!
and guess what the people are saying over on the Kitchen Aid, LG and Maytag DIY videos?
@@cowlumbus LOL I bet you are right.
