About Dead by Daylight:
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4 vs 1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed.

Obviously these are all my opinions and nothing should be taken as fact
I think youre opinions are very nice and interesting, thx for sharing them and give the community the option to interact with you in this way!
Just a question, whats your favorite dlc so far including the next one?
Yeah that goes without saying, but then you need to avoid saying others' opinions are "objectively wrong" or "incorrect", as it gives the wrong message.
Enjoyed the video either way 😊
Oops, I accidently took all of that as fact
@@SirBM-TTV true but to be fair there are some in this video that are just straight up wrong 💀
I think that killers nodding, shaking their heads, or doing stuff deemed toxic is just funny and it makes me enjoy the game even if it was a bit dull before. For example, a killer nodding after someone messes up a flashy save, or shaking their head if someone messes up dh. It really adds a layer of personality to the game, and it reminds me that a person behind the screen is most likely having a good time.
Edit: Was going to beg for people to stop replying but now realizing no one would listen
i agree. I find it hilarious when I fuck up and killers just like haha u fucked up. I like to nod as well if I win a mind game at a strong loop. Its way more fun when the killer shows personality.
@@lab9459 All the killers do it but i don't know how many killers did that to me...probably a thousand...
I also nod everytime i mess up a hit or i'm surprised by a good play lol
I always used head movement as communication. Like shaking a head at survivor after a bad play or just trying to say no
So why is t bagging considered toxic
i think they should make a feature to test each new/ payed character at least once against bots or something like that so we can see which one we would prefer to buy instead of blindly buying them based on how others play/ use them
That would be cool, in fact there actually was a feature in dbd like this. The problem though is you wouldn’t be able to do this feature with licensed killers because most license holders don’t permit free content. The exact reason why they removed this feature before was because the license holders for the pig disagreed with the feature
Actually back in the day you could, there were offerings that let you try out licensed killers for one match at basekit with no add ons. Wasn't against bots but it at least gave you a idea of the killer before you bought them.@@matt2569
Yeah it sucks that the only time you can test out anything for free is during the ptb which means that console players cant do it at all and you can only test out the newest stuff.
when i bought the game back in 2018 there were different offers where you could play dlc killers like myers, freddy and pig
@@matt2569lol then just make a free license killer with the powers of the licenced killers Ie like a weird entity amalgamation that looks messed up
My hot take is that the community itself makes it difficult to be taken seriously. When everything that is done is received with animosity, it's hard to know when something is genuinely bad.
I dont think this is a hot take. I once came across a survivor main try to argue that closing the hatch shouldn’t proc no way out. Similarly saw killer mains think spirit fury should be base kit. When you have trash arguments like this, it’s no wonder why the devs sometimes don’t listen to community feedback.
The main issue here is that BHVR fostered the community they currently have. Their major PR blunders in the past, their inability to be transparent, their incredibly slow and unsatisfying workflow, and the way that they continue to keep the game boring and frustrating for players means that the distrust with them and the anger at the game and other players only gets much worse. I liken it to the relationship The Sims 4 team has with their players. Sure they're actively working on the game, but the fans have more than enough reasons to be upset with them.
Oh you never knew them from before
I genuinely cannot tell when someone is teabagging me, or if they’re just crouching as a universal symbol of friendship in gaming.
My hot take is the pry-mid head is fun to play as/against
I think there should be a rotation system, where you get to play as 5 killers and 5 survivors for free every week. And if you reach prestige level 1 or 2 with a character you would unlock their perks and unlock them as well (except for licened killers and survivors). This would make the game so much more appealing to newer players. This could bring new oppinions to the game and create pressure to make the game better for newer players.
you mean like trial runs for dlc characters?
@@gwg2813i think similar to how Multiversus and Brawlhalla have characters that rotate weekly/daily for free playing along with having the free base characters
@@gwg2813yes
I agree with this except for the unlocking the character part. Because free trials would be great and also help ppl get perks but it would be way to easy to get all the killers. Like instead of a trial it would really be “oh here’s 5 killers for free every week” which just doesn’t make sense monetarily and removes something to grind for as all the killers remaining would be paid only. Also it would hurt sales really badly when a new killer comes out cause then like no one would buy them
No, behavior has actively reduced 90% of the grind in DBD, new characters are not that expensive and cost literally $5 if you want one, if you can afford the game, the internet it takes to play it, the consoles the TV and the headphones you can afford $5 more dollars to play a licensed DLC character. And back to the whole "they reduced 90% of the grind" yeha no you should always have to earn the perks in the traditional ways, through the bloodweb or shrine. It could be considered exploiting if you unlocked certain perks without actually owning the characters, some DLC characters pretty strong perks and it's kind of BS that some people had to pay and other people could abuse a free to play event to get those same rewards.
I think the saddest part on garden of joy is the amount of just useless space in the main building. Like 80% of the top floor is never used in the average game, despite containing a very cool design
That's the issue with most second floors, mostly because if the survivor does not have Balanced Landing the huge stagger they get makes the second floor a death trap for them since killers have no stagger + most of the time they have a hole in a wall so they don't even need to vault.
Tbh sometimes I wish the old version of BL still somehow existed, they'd just have to remove the speed boost from it (so make it not be an exhaustion perk) and give it a cd. Just a perk that would reduce stagger so people can loop high places. Right now the penalty is too huge unless you can counter the stagger with a fast vault or BL.
I often see a lot of Lithe users also completely lose their speed boost from the drop + stagger, it's sad to see, although it's also kind of on them for using it on a high window, I guess.
I honestly think that a story mode in which every survivor face the killer of his/her chapter would be pretty cool.
A story mode game is coming out
YESSS ive been saying this for years, the lore of this game is so interesting but you just have to sit and read paragraphs to explore it . if they added more interactive ways to read the lore it would make the game soo much better
@@_lin_al3177 well there's a story game in production
@@angeloalvarez5520no there isn't bruh
@@everythingpony look it up
There should be another survivor objective, probably connecting cables between different parts of the environment. This would, in one fell swoop, make survivor gameplay more than just quick time events, force survivors to explore more of the map and take in the sights, improve the performance of trap killers as survivors would need to cover more ground and be more likely to land in traps, make slowdown perks less meta, and open up new potential for future perks.
This might be more fun when going against a bad killer, but in plenty of matches, you can BARELY get the gens and gate done and adding extra shit on top of that would just be annoying
@@gamer47e17 reduce gen fixing time to compensate
@nugget0928 Maybe? I feel like adding too much extra shit to do can really slow the game down and if it takes too long, nobody will have fun, especially since the killer only really has to run around and hook survs still.
@@gamer47e17 I mean, that’s a pretty reductive analysis, lol. I suppose it’s still true, but there’s a lot more to juggle: health states of everyone’s, approximate locations, approximate gen progress, everyone’s perks and items, locations of gens, totems, gates, windows, pallets, your perks and power, the hatch, if you don’t account for all of that you’re gonna get screwed.
@nugget0928 Thats kind of for both sides tbh, the only reason the killer can do it solo is because they can straight up remove survivors from the match by hooking or morning them
There should be maps (future or current) that are genuinely dark/harder to see. Not only to help with making the game scarier but it could also enable more stealth based killers/builds
Na that was horrible as killer you could barely see, just look at how it was before
Right? People using 3rd party brightness alterations i consider cheating, the game is supposed to be dark. They should make the shadings work in a way where brightness doesn't let you see more.
@@rokukoui don’t really agree that the game is supposed to be dark. that was the case like 6 years ago but half of the maps today take are in the middle of the day
@@theopendoorev Yeah but they use it for maps that are meant to be dark and challenging to see.
@@rokukou i just meant that it doesnt seem like a core part of the game today especially with the devs having said they dont consider it cheating too. youre entitled to your own take on it though
I feel like dbd should add more stealth killers, just because it really brings out the horror aspect of the game
definitely
*stealth killers without a lullaby
Justice for sadako
YES PLEASE
I highly disagree with this. Just having a jumpscare here and there doesn't make me tremble, and stealth killers are often easily spotted and countered.
@@BDeity idk, i can easily say wraith is the killer that scared me the most times in all my hours of dbd, closely followed by all other stealth killers except sadako, all other killer aren't really scary since you can hear them coming from like 20 meters away.
It doesn't matter how good a blight player is, it's much better to play against top-tier blight instead of a nurse because at least you feel you have control of the game
Blight can't quite go anywhere at any time, and this difference makes for far more interactivity. Nurse just blinks on top of you, pretty much uninteractively. There's very little that one can really do to evade a good Nurse. Mastery shouldn't turn the game into single-player, and mere decency definitely shouldn't.
@@coultersheppard2052 Pallets are so worthless when Nurse can just blink through it and hit me :(
I'd rather go against a mediocre Nurse than a top-tier Blight for the same reason
It would be super funny if the devs decied to make these changes just for a day in april 1st:
If the surviver uses an item they lose a hs once in a trial
If the killer hooks a surviver for the first time they get stunned
Lore wise we can say survivers items are cursed and they kick while being hooked
Crouching Survivors gain the ability to temporarily slow the Killer, lore explanation is:
"AH MY FUCKING KNEE!"
"GET CROWBARRED, BITCH!"
"ENTITY, WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"I don't know, I'm bored."
I misread that as "Looks at a survivor" for the first time and was like "Well just when I thought Myers couldn't get more useless."
Hot take: Make it easier to get perks. Make it so that instead of the shrine, you just have the ability to click a character, click a perk, and click "unlock teachable perk for 2000 iridescent shards"
the take was so ice cold i had to put on a jacket while reading this
@@theopendoorevI think they were being sarcastic cause if they said this was a hot take then clown is the strongest killer in DBD 😂
I remember seeing someone say killers shouldn’t lunge at all let alone turn while lunging. That take says a lot about them

Those two should play together with those changes they want, I'm sure their games will be really fun once they're unable to do anything...
I would love to see more interactive environments, both killer and survivor: light switches, locking or barricading doors, maybe objects that you can push to create your own loops or dead ends
Light switching would be fine but useless tbh, barrickading door is just a bit different pallet and moving objects is just terrible idea
Friday the 13th then
@@firered1017 1k hours Friday the 13th veteran here. It was a great concept but unfortunately all that's left of it is endless hackers and balance issues (good SWF would literally kill the killer in 2 minutes).
Looking forward to Texas Chainsaw Massacre by it's creators though.
You might actually want to try Last Year then. It's much more atmospheric and interactive. and free to play since the last month.
fnaf game mechanics on dbd? lolll
I know I'm late to the party, but if BHVR wants to prolong the game lifespan, they should start investing in more core objective changes to the game. The End Game Collapse was probably one of the best changes to DBD and I wish they implemented more experimental objective changes in the PTB to make the game more fun, shake the meta and possibly even make the game more entertaining to watch
It's wild to think how many competitors have been made so far built on the backbone of features people have wanted with DBD while DBD still remains stale as ever.
my hot take is that balanced landing didn't need to get nerfed. it was a good exhaustion perk.
Agreed. The perk can't be used at anytime bc it's situational. Some maps don't have many drop making the perk less useful. Lastly, alot people opt to main deadhead at the time bc it was just obviously better. I truly feel like Behavior nerfed the perk to spite a certain streamer who mained that perk in most trials. Why else would Behavior nerf a perk thats inferior to others like deadhard?? Killers don't get stunned during a drop so u can't even abuse the perk 😂😂 so IMO, why TF nerf a "Balanced" perk lol see what I did there ;)
umm, but it created infinites, no?
the amount of times my teammates have died on raccoon city simply because we couldn’t find them in time is insane lol… I absolutely despise that basement with every bone in me ❤
I would be perfectly okay if they removed RPD 🥰
Blindness perks on rpd is just annoying especially when someone is hooked
You need to play resident evil 2 my friend 😅
To be honest the RPD isn’t that bad. I still don’t get how the map has been out for so long and people still don’t get the layout.
Theres a basement in that map?
They should add a feature that gives additional blood points for playing specific killers to encourage more variety.
I’ve played enough weskers
Wesker is fun to play against and play but playing against him after so many times, it just gets boring to play
They do it in the rituals and the tomes. I mean they don’t just put these out in random they do it so people get encouraged to play certain killers
so basically daily quests but without the daily part ?
I rarely see Wesker or Knight even though people constantly complain about them. Nemesis and Legion are almost the only killers I ever go against. As my MMR gets higher I have seen more Nurse players though. Not a single Skull Merchant, not a single Knight, not a single Twins, like 1 Huntree and then a Doctor that was just having fun shocking people and making us scream not even going for hits or downs.
That is actually a great idea!
I think Knight is fun, I might be slightly blinded by the medieval aesthetic which I have always loved but spawning around patrols and using my squad to cut people off is so satisfying to me
IKR it is so funny to see survivors get jump scared by a guard while they are doing a gen 😂😂
most knight players use his guards in the most unfun ways possible in my experience. they just spam his guards until they get a down
@@softierei dam those knight players need a reality check on their downs if they only use their guards to get downs is just dumb.
@@loganmagallanes1876 like most of them just use their guards until eventually you get put into a lose lose situation
For me the worst is the camping, several times me and my teammates left the game because of how frustrating it is. The game is cooperative and you will not always be playing with friends or veteran players who know how to take advantage of a killer who does it. Which means that most of the time your death will not be of much use since the others did not coordinate and there are still 3 engines left to fix and even if they take advantage of the time and do everything they can to win, it does not feel like a satisfactory win but more like winning while on the bench and being immobile for longer time that actually playing the game. The debs tried to fix it at first with perks like borrowed time but it was never enough...
There should be something like emotes that let you communicate like one where you ask for heals, ask someone to follow you, do a gen, say no thanks and so on
Yeah they have that already in mobile ^^
@@fnaf1000wild he talking about emotes there are already emotes in pc version. If u mean quick chat then let me tell u the quick chat is good for non of the things the original post mentioned
@@hystic2728 more emotes then, not just point or follow.
I think it'd be both an easy way for BHVR to make a quick 2 bucks per, and generally pretty fun. personality on the other side is personally one of my favorite things in the game, like a survivor violently shaking their head "yes" when they made a great play and are on a safe side of a loop. it reminds me mid-chase that it's a person, not an objective, and that they're probably having fun.
same on the flip side honestly, I love seeing a killer shake no when I goof up big time and they get me down when I could've played better.
That's a cold take, everyone wants emotes
Or just vocal or chat in game so don't need to have emotes to communicate
DBD is fun if you don’t take it too seriously. Some of the most fun I’ve had was when I was doing my glyphs as Doctor, and, after doing them, “helped” the survivors do the generators using the static blast and shock therapy to make his hands move :)
Frl if u play dbd to have fun it's a whole nother level of enjoyable
My hot take is that they need to make a tv series where they have episodes dedicated to each killer before or after being taken to the realm.
Itd be cool to see the horror side od the game expressed on a more horror friendly playform!
I think they should add more chase perk to killers. There are plenty of distance perks for survivors and just feel like adding basic ones to killers could really help. Like breaking things gives you haste.
Ok no offense bro I respect your opinion but that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard half the killers have an ability that allows them to catch up to survivors and all the killers are already faster then them. How unplayable do u want the game to be for survivors

8:45 the reason I got the game was to play as some of my favorite bad guys from games. But I agree that the killers made behavior themselves should continue to be fun and interesting, I love playing as some of them when others hate to.
I personally think that hitting survivors on the hook should just be removed from the game entirely. And I’m not saying this as a “wah wah I’m a survivor and I don’t wanna get bullied by the killer and getting hit on the hook 😭😭😭” I’m saying this as a killer main who’s constantly had kills taken away from me because I try to hit a survivor who’s unhooking someone and the game just automatically makes me target the survivor on the hook and therefore I do no damage, I still have to do the entire cool-down animation and both of the survivors run away with zero pressure. Either stop the ability to hit hooked people in general or just lessen the strength of the auto-aim when it comes to hooked survivors.
In fact, I feel like auto-aim also needs a whole rework or to just be deleted from the game, it does far more harm than good and it just makes the game feel totally ridiculous for both sides because you either miss an attack that definitely should’ve hit or you hit an attack that definitely should’ve missed and both sides become frustrated with it.
Dredge is probably the most slept on killer in the game
Based
Playing against a dredge is so fun
Agreed
I just think it's because he's mid. Regardless, for the majority of the killers, if you play them really well, you will dominate the most of your normal public games with ease. I'm open to change my mind though, so if you want to 1v1 to show off some dredge skills or whatever, this is welcome
Good. Let it stay that way.
My hot take: making "fun" killers without somewhat copying another fun killers power is really hard to do
i mean there's not really much they can do with powers anymore
@@yourlocalghastyt285 Exactly! Theres only so much they can come up with with this many chapters!
@@yourlocalghastyt285 @Anicronyx I don't think that's true. They could literally make a flying killer or a spider killer that can move around similar to spiderman and make webs to block windows etc. Or a killer who can jump over terrain or climb over walls. Or a killer who can transform into looking like a survivor. Or a mind controlling killer who can briefly control a survivor's body and make them attack other survivors or walk towards the killer. The possible ideas are endless, they just don't seem willing to go through the work of developing new mechanics for the game. I understand that developing something completely new and different is more work than making the same thing over and over again but if they wanted to make new things, they could. I don't see why making these killers would be impossible since similar characters already exist in other games. Also there have literally been cheaters flying around and jumping on walls in DbD too so at least that kind of a killer would clearly be possible to do in DbD if the devs were just interested in making a killer like that. 🧐
@@lumiko5183 on god
@@lumiko5183 Well yes. I just think the amount of work for those mechanics to be implemented in the game would be better spent developing the DBD sequel. The game is quite old, janky and oversaturated already. It's competitors (Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, Last Year, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) all have better graphics and are much more interactive.
The Nurse should have a marker that shows her where she's teleporting to as part of her base kit, and remove the marker if she uses any add-ons that give her extra blinks.
The think about Blight and Wesker competing for highest skill ceiling is that people have had much longer to master Blight and find new techniques, whereas Wesker's insanely high skill techniques have only recently become popular
Thanks for reading my hottake Kyto. Honestly, I've played on Garden of Joy so much that I've gotten used to the map, and I love the atmosphere of it

The devs decided to not rework Autodidact by adding a higher skill check probability because they don't want to create to most meta perk ever

@@user-zx9xc9cn8fdepends on the ruin the first ruin was VERY unhealthy but the one that was 200% regression was health imo at least
I haven't used sprint burst much. What's the mastery with it? Is it just down to timing?
I like the Knight. I think he's really cool in a lot of regards, and his power is really creative. It mostly boils down to the people that play him that make him boring for most people.
He’s so intimidating and creative I love him
I think the main issue about Knight is the fact he can just instantly drop a guard, denying a survivor a safe loop, while zoning them out, and it takes the killer only 2s to do on top of not requiring any thinking.
I've seen some people say they could make it so the killer is forced to draw a path of a few meters, which would make it so the killer has to think about what area to defend and the survivor has a couple of seconds of distance. And honestly, such a simple change could probably make The Knight a lot more interesting to play as and against.
When I face good Knight players who use their guards to apply pressure across the map or to deny loops from super far away, it's actually quite fun. Sadly though, most Knights just try to use the AI to get a quick double-tap. The amount of time I've faced Knights who don't realise they lose collision with me during a hunt and are trying to push me against the guard or body block me so the guard gets me is ridiculous...
honestly? You could make it that knight gets 3% (or 5% if he doesn’t even draw a line) hindered for a variable amount of time if he doesn’t draw a line of atleast 5 meters. I wouldn’t complain actually as a knight main, the only time you wanna instadrop guards is to avoid saves and speed don’t matter there
@@Libellulaire knight is a c tier killer, he needs a buff like majority of the killers in the game. and decent survivor embarrases any knight unless its just a high level player palying the killer. Hes not a good killer 🤣
His power is so unbelievably weak in most scenarios that the only consistently viable ways to play him are the boring ways.
That's not the player's fault, that's the game's fault.
Weird to suggest otherwise.

This is rage bait no?
@@davedave4514 you're mistaken.
I think that many times they spoil the potential of killers by giving them powers that are repetitive and uncreative. I'm talking about killers whose most important power is something that gives them a boost of speed or charge or leap and hit. Although they have other skills that give them the flavor of what they are and improve them, they end up being optional which leads to mainly use the charge and hit to hurt survirors and fulfill the killer's objective. I'm talking about characters like pig, demogorgon, chucky, wesker, oni...
At first it seemed as if they wanted each killer to feel unique. We had the nurse, wraith, hillbilly, the huntress and the trapper. All of them totally diferent from each other and with different approaches..... now they only give us characters that run and hit...
Freddy’s Dream world effect is a good addition to the game and makes most maps look much better (also autodidact is an s tier perk)
We’ll make it is better tbh
I agree on autodidact I put it on every heal build
Autodidact when killer has a sloppy butcher is the best combo. It's literally 5 stacks after one heal
as a killer main, a lot of my grievances changed when i played some survivor. i realized things i hate r fun for the other side and vice versa. there’s still some things i hate on both sides but things like flashies and pallet camping and certain perks are things i don’t hate nearly as much now as a killer.
Pallet camping is just objectively a bad idea as survivor anyways because you can get swung through it a lot of times. And it is very wasteful of resources. When I have a teammate who pallet camped I can tell cause there’s no pallets left on the map after their 30 second chase. Lol
But as killer you’re right, if they get successful camp after successful camp stun it feels super annoying to get stunned over and over trying to get the swing through. I just remind myself there will be no pallets by the time 3 Gens are left and the whole map will be a dead zone. Lol. Hopefully.
i completely agree. i play both (originally mostly played killer in the beginning though) and i’m always happy when the survivors do well cause i know how it feels on their end. i’m responsible for a majority of their fun, and i _want_ them to have fun because not only do i want to, as a killer and survivor, but i want them to keep playing lol.
Same but otherside i switch from Surv main to more Killer Gameplay, now i realise if i had a good Killer in my Game
@@memeseeku3618 true. However, pre-dropping is sometimes the best play. Though 95+% of the playerbase will not recognize the right opportunities for looping the pallet or dropping it instantly, even if there's some space between you and the killer. Sometimes it's just better to lose 10 seconds of loop time by pre-dropping a pallet, so you can prolong the chase by 45 seconds, for example.
@@broylerchicken2675 if you know the killer has endfury (esp with Hubris) pre dropping when the loop gets/is unsafe is best. But predropping with 99% of teams in soloQ or SWFing is a bad idea because they are not on Gens like they should be. And I will always take a hit before dropping a pallet and I will usually take a down /hook before dropping a pallet too. Resources are more valuable than hook states until you’re injured and death hook. And if they don’t come get you on soloQ or the killer is proxying then go next. Cause a mere early proxy to second is usually enough to lose the match, ppl do NOT look at the hud and stay on Gens… they’d rather come to hook and watch you get proxied to death for some reason Lmfao.
I know I'm super late but I have a spicy hot take.
The removal of BBQ and WGLF having raised bp rewards has been a downward slope that is one of the reasons tunnelling and camping is more prevalent right now.
Yes it helped give killers and some survivors an extra perk rather than always having the same perk. But BBQ specifically gave killers a reason to not camp and tunnel, they had their bp increasing perk give them info so they knew where to go next (and it made sure it was away from the hook) It also incentivised hooking everyone rather than tunnelling people out right away. So, with less killers having that passive knowledge they resort to just proxy camping instead because why would they spend the time going across the map and waste their time.
I believe they should bring back the BP additive aspect but make it similar to a STBFL or something where every hook state you get gives you an added bp reward at the end but stops going up after the first kill.
It's funny that 7:44 is actually happening soon haha. xD I was like the leo meme where he points at the screen when I saw this comment lmao.
I love the playing as knight. I use the guards to shut down chases and be aggressive. I do not consider him to be a 3 gen killer.
Hot take: Iridescent and purple addons should alter the way you play a killer. They should be the backbone, of a build changing major aspects of that specific killers gameplay, that way its more fun and unique to play as killer and survivor!
I don't understand why but all the time I take Devour Hope it gets cleansed but when I take Haunted Grounds survivors just doesn't touch it. How do you know which is which?
Hag is fr one of the most scary killers in my opinion, just imagine you think your save while running to a gen and then this big jumpscare happens when you run into a hag trap, every time I go against a hag I am always terrified of running into a trap just because its so fast and unexpected
I think she is one of the killers I've played agenst that did jumpscare me
@@deltrick8894 her and tier one myers are the only ones that have jumpscared me, there was a myers just staring me down on top of a building and I did a double take before he jumped down and hit me
I much prefer old red forest maps over the new ones. Yes they are very petty but I swear it feels like they put at least double the stuff in the map and a thousand bushes to get stuck on.
that unhooking guy was ahead of the curb
Trapper is a fun killer to face, the anxiety and fear he brings about moving fits the games atmosphere perfectly.
Everytime I accidentally step in a trap, I shout "Son of a bitch!" like Chong's Dad in Up in Smoke.
Take approved
100% agree trapper is underrated and people says he weak just because he doesnt have some super speed or insta down in base kit doesn't mean he's a bad killer it
I agree with that but unfortunately every trapper I play its just a Otzdarva simp that only plays basement its just sad
hes fun to verse keeps you on your toes to where traps are but basic boring basement trapper ? not really
“This is just objectively true…. In my opinion” lmfao
Also, they should add the vault speed increase, which was removed from Spine Chill, to Quick & Quiet. Nothing about that perk is "quick", and it would make more sense on a Meg perk.
@Estrogen_Fiend u deserve a Grammy
head on should also have quick and quiet built in tbh
and get the unfair vaulting speed with resilience back - no thank you.
@@alpha-tomahawk532 ‘unfair vault speed’ lmfao you mean the only way to counter killers that can’t afford half decent internet

i think they should make dredge even more scarier. like in nightfall you can get like jumscare and stuff and honestly there should be a even scarier cosmetics for dredge
The frosty Dredge :)
Too bad unfortunately dbd isn't a horror game anymore plus that nightfall sh*t is annoying not scary
in nightfall ghostly apparitions of players killed by the dredge wander the map aimlessly, whimpering as though injured, screaming occasionally at the sight of their former teammates, not doing objectives just like when they were living.
The fact that with sprint burst you have to walk around the map and waste time or be exhausted and can’t use it strategically and effectively at the same time in most situations makes it the worst exhaustion perk in the game. U can “master” it all u want. But you’re still always gonna be walking around the map like a snail or sprinting to keep exhaustion at 99% unable to unhook, do gens, cleanse totems, etc. In order to use the perk at its “mAsTeR” level you have to make urself useless or waste a perk slot
My hot take is that I think this game should favor killers and not survivors, what would be the fun of going against a killer with no pressure. Survivors already have a lot going for them and probably will get more in the future; but killers should be strong and they should mentally scare you every match. the fun part of surviving a game is the killer is tough but not SSS tier tough
(Survivor main technically, though have put some decent hours into killer)
Hot take: Nancys and Steves are easily the sweatiest and most tryhard survivors.
fax
I find Nancy to be the worst offender.
@@Skarfar90 100 agree. I find Steve to be extremely annoying, however for me the 1# most annoying survivor is leon
@@Blank8767 In my experience, Leons aren’t that bad to face. Nancys on the other hand, they’re the ones who sweat like their lives depend on it every single game. They bring the most meta perks, run the second they hear my terror radius, and loop in a way which counters anything I try to do.
2:08 The Twin’s feel meh to play as rn, fun to play against though, seeing Charlotte while she’s controlling Victor is super creepy it’s cool.
A good twins is extremely powerful.
When I play against her I always wait till he goes back from victor and blind her, only with swf tho
P83 Twins :D
@@memeseeku3618 too bad the most effective playstyle is also the most scummy and boring one towards the survivors. I love the twins but to keep up with a good team you have to slug pretty frequently.
@@D-Doc-C True, it feels so bad to be slugged all match lol. But I feel like they could fix her to make her feel more fun to play as and make her more fun to verse by making her unbind instant but victor-return cooldown for a missed pounce +kick v punishing. This would be contingent upon making hit registration server sided overall and not killer client sided.
(SIDE RANT: Why is BHvR making a movie for dbd and they can’t spend the money to have beefier dedicated servers like R6 or other shooting games with server hit reg? VPNing shouldn’t be rewarded.)
Hey guys I'm confused. I remember awhile ago I could grab people off hooks but now I've been trying alot and have never pulled somone unhooking. Is it removed? Like I'm not camping I'm just doing my thing then passing the hook and seeing somone unhook so I walk up right behind them and hit but it never grabs
My hot takes are: 1. The knight isn't a boring or bad killer i have fun playing as and against him, and i dont understand why he's hated. 2. Endgame collapse with the singularity isn't THAT stupid, i mean yeah its pretty stupid, but you just need to E.M.P the biopods, and when he looks through them and starts to come to you just run and hide
I literally NEVER use NOED ... I think it's a cheap perk for those who can't get kills through out the game kinda like using training wheels..that being said (now that I know the glowing eyes seems to mean NOED awaits) imma use the glowing eyes nonstop lol.... and yeah, I play both sides. Great video...much love to you and all in the comments..

kyto could you make a tierlist of dbd maps? It would be interesting
I believe that Gens should auto regress if not worked for for 5 seconds after 20 seconds… so if you leave a gen after 20 it starts to regress (still kickable tho) and the 20 cant be interrupted by a single tap…
I wish stealth playstyle of surv was more viable i think its one of the most fun thing to do in dbd
I agree with the first one about RPD its very good for the killer side if u play onryo, wraith, etc. As a survivor it really depends on who your playing against.
The average survivor is braindead which is what makes killers look good
Small take, but I think it’s bs that the pig’s traps don’t activate once the exit gates are powered. I don’t know why they changed it but I think with the recent changes that prevent killers tunneling that this should be added back to the pig
Yo kyto you think you could make a video about the best builds for each killer? Love the content keep it up
My hot take is that when Myer's plays tombstone piece and Judith's tombstone he should be able to Mori survivors on the ground so they can't hide in lookers. Because when survivors go in lookers it kind of defeats the purpose of those add ons.
Hot take: nemesis needs different power completely there’s to much rng with zombies and having to hit 2 different survivors just to level up feels horrible
i think nemesis would be fine if they remove vaccines, while he starts off slow his power gets very strong later in the game
nemesis is fine, not every killer needs to be really strong and meta.
He really isn’t I play a shit tone of nemesis he’s my second main and you know who does his job better oni , wesker , pyramid head and his add ons are so bad
@@asrieldreemurr1918 Other than his addons and vaccines I think nemesis is fine (Just my opinion, I also play him quite often)
@@asrieldreemurr1918 yeah his addons are really bad and he gets outclassed by those killers, but most times when i face nemesis he isn't a killer that's easy to escape from especially if he runs 2 or more gen perks, he is on the weaker side but i don't think a rework is needed.
headtraps dont pop fast enough, we all know why we play pig
Rather than adding a new killer or event, they should take about a 1 month wellness period to take community votes, and just over all tweak and rework killers and perks. Reworking killers like micheal and pig can brink back old players and even new players as if it were a new killer
Nicolas Cage fits in this game just as much as Wesker does. And to be honest I want more dlc like Nicolas Cage. I want a Jenna Ortega or Neve Campbell chapter. Idk I just think that going for popular horror actors is a really good idea for survivor paragraphs.
Jenna Ortega/ Wednesday DLC would make a ton of new people play DBD
@@SimplyTexy would wednesday be a killer or a survivor? she'd probably be a survivor but there's also a chance she'd be a killer

Switch By Daylight (or just DBD on Switch) is a good port that is worth the money.... And i base that on absolutely nothing
>Old Haddonfield
>Implying new Haddonfield isn't completely shit too
The luck mechanics need a change to be slightly more broad and noticeable. Not solely for survivors jumping off hook, but maybe a slight chance of a marginally bigger great skill check area. For the killers, a slight chance of the pallet breaking when they get stunned (4% chance of base kit spirit fury or to make survivors have a chance at faster moving skill checks).Killers could increase their chances of these happening by using unlucky offerings
I don't think this will be a hot take, but I think there needs to be at least one big perk change up a year like we recently got. Just 25-40 perks changed/tweaked to keep things fresh. Not in the name of balance, but to avoid things getting stale.
I think ds with the 5 second stun wqs probably the most healthy perk in the game
not to mention it can also only be used once too

My hot take is Skull Merchant is an absolutely magnificent killer and is probably my favourite. I mean, she's a total babe and she's super fun to play as.
just my opinion: knight can be really fun to play, but a lot of people don’t play him as good as he is since many of them just camp, I hope I see more knight killers like me that actually know how to play him😞 (it is really fun to jump scare survivors when they are doing a gen and a guard just starts chasing them.
People should stop leaking, i don't know how much of a take this is but i don't think they know how much fun they are taking out of things. Th
e new chapter for example has a very intresting setting and killer being like a hag mixed with like portable victors but because it was leaked it took a lot of fun and intrest out of the reveal.
same goes for nic, even though it was hyped up during the stream it was already made public before the grand reveal making his inclusion lose a lot of impact (still funny though)
This might be a hot take but DBD should add proximity chat and maybe add a new gamemode
I still think that 2V8 game mode was the funniest thing I've seen in a bit
Honestly proximity chat should be a yearly event or something. That way it wouldn't get old nor affect the game permanently
A hide and seek mode would be sorta good
proximity chat would be the funniest fucking thing if it included the killer. imagine walking around as killer and you hear two people whispering "shut up he's coming!" I'd be dying
@@justahugenerd1278 exactly that’s what I think of when I say proximity chat
I hate playing against hag, for one reason :
The jumpscares from traps scare me 😢
Here’s mine: map control killers (skull merchant, demogorgon, ring girl, etc) are fucking awful to play against, getting a gen to 5% just for the fun police to teleport out of nowhere, kick it, and leave is horrible and boring
I smell a salty survivor main /:
Here is a few hot takes or just interesting takes.
1. All killers should have an op addon similar to Blight's alchemist ring which reward power usage that never gets nerfed or removed, And the same goes for Survivors items, each should have a op add on.
2. Trapper needs a rework, while he can still be op in the right situation, He is no where near the other killers that he has to compete with.
3. Some of the killers perks need to become base kit, cause A killer should not have to give up perks slots to deal with trolls (With the exception of light born cause that would make flashlights pointless) An example is mad grit without its ability to pause the struggle timer, This would remove the chance of being bodyblocked at 5 gen in your first hook and shattered hope as it would place boons on hex perk level.
4. Stop complaining about Camping. Especially if you keep trying to go in for the save, The best way to "punish" a proper camper is to do the gens. Stop whining about a thing that you could stop if you just learnt to not go there and It is not tunneling if your teammate farms you off the hook and then runs off leaving you to deal with the killer.
5. Survivors never use the chat box before a match but then still crying about things like camping and tunneling
6. Camping and tunneling CAN be a strategy however if it lacks parameters like it is okay to tunnel if you have lost 2 gens, then it is not a strategy at all
7. The obsession perks , like Save the Best for Last, Should gain either tokens when the obsession disconnects. (Numbers will obviously vary)
8. The Deja vu change was not needed. It is a welcome change but if survivors would just stop running their SELFISH second chance perks and start working as a TEAM then it could have remained as normal
P.S and this is just fact. Fun is SUBJECTIVE. Survivors may find using head on against a killer 50+ times in a match fun but the killer might not.
Whenever I see a totem I cleanse it, especially dull totems because I’m always like “Possible Noed”
*Ahem, Boons ?*
(Edit ; i feel like i'm the only one running circle of healing and shadow step this patch lol :/ )
thats just a waste of time because it makes less totems for boons and noed will just spawn somewhere else
That is a complete waste of time. It's literally better just to cleanse Noed after it's already activated then risk wasting so much time if the killer doesn't have it. Unless it's a very common perk for that killer like Wraith.
@@TheLegless101 NOED might as well be in Wraith's basekit
You could also try doing gens and being useful to your team
i really love rpd as some killers, especially nemesis, nurse and singularity. singularity cams are amazing
Hot take, I think once a survivor self cares in the corner of the map twice, they should be replaced by a bot. Or like if they haven’t touched a generator for 2 mins while not in chase
That's unfair as hell man
One of my hot takes is, Bubba is a really good killer. But, many people have bad reputations for him because they mist if the time camp. All Bubba don't camp, sometimes it's just skill.
Plus many survivors are quick to scream that you’re camping or tunneling when they’re just playing badly
90 percent Bubbas camp when I play ,so no fun at all as survivor, after this update I play killer a lot and easily get 3 4 kills every match ,so yay survivor is dead bit killer is fun now that I don't have to try to win and still do
a lot of the killers can be good if played really well. However, there are still plentiful of killers better than him, putting him somewhere in the middle. Sure, you can make a tier list based on the best killer vs. average survivors, but then S and A tiers would consist of almost all killers in the game, if not all of them. Though there's no denial Bubba can be played skillfully and good, this just applies to other killers too and more.
I think the best way to fix bubba is to de incentivize him from camping. Like after 6 seconds or so sitting at a hook his chainsaw charges will disappear so he can’t force the unfun camp and trade if survivors try to save
Hot take: Playing as a immersive survivors is fun to play as and against. I love it when I do the objective, help teammates, etc.- all while the killer barely finds me, and vice versa.
Coward take
the bite the bullet build with overcome and lucky break is your best friend
I agree, I play as Claudette to hide and such while using a healing build to help my fellow survivors (Empathy, Empathetic Connection, Botany Knowledge, and Self Care or Prove Thyself)
@@animemusic3244 as a colourblind person, you are my blood enemy
Kyto do you know what three perks would be good on the skull merchant because I just got her and I want to know what perks would be good for her
The new dead hard endurance instead of dash was an incredible and great idea, but only activating when you get unhooked killed the perk for me
I do not understand the problem with Knight.
I think he's really cool and fun, so I guess that's my hot take.
I fully agree. Knight is one of the best designed killers and his only prombles are addons and the Jailer.
He could be better, the guards are too slow and rarely hit unless you force it. Don’t know why the flag exists honestly, it’s like they went “oh let’s make it even easier to escape the guards”

@@hayki-daki7653 the jailer is literally useless
@@Sleepyhollow3245 i fully agree, moreover 1)this dude is the reason why so many people dislike the Knight, because he can stay on gens longer than cooler boys 2) if you have misplased the Jailer, you have to play without a power for a very long time
Getting chased by Hag and dodging her traps is fun.
What isn't fun is that she can just put several traps around a hook and it makes it incredibly annoying to even unhook anyone.
Since the hag was released, you could crouch to avoid any traps entirely. This applies to hook saves, as long as the saved person crouches too, which is pretty much always in my lobbies. And now you can just erase the trap completely if you think your teammate will not know this mechanic.
All killer SHOULD be free to play in an Personalize Game. That would make me think and decide: "What killer should i buy next?". It would REALLY help people to decide which killer they want to main and buy
DBD mobile has a ‘ticket’ system where you can unlock a killer for either 6 or 24 hours. This also keeps your progress on the killer, and i think it’s a very good addition. Back when I did play mobile, I had doctor at level 30 cuz I didn’t want to waste money or shards on him but still enjoyed him every once in a while
@@chaosinsurgencydoubleagent5249 That's really cool. I DID NOT knew that existed actually. Thanks for explaining lol
I don't know, it's not fun when you already struggle against a squad as a killer and then they're all teabagging and writing "gg ez" in chat.
That’s all people do to you? ONE SURVIVOR LITERALLY SENT ME A FRIEND REQUEST ON STEAM JUST TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A PEICE OF SHIT
9:27 this is so sad. Adrenaline didn't get nerfed because it was too strong. It just naturally became the best survivor perk in the game after they nerfed the other strongest perks, and then killers suddenly started complaining about it more than ever. Its still solid, but this perk was with us from the very beginning and was always a fun and fair reward for completing the objective.
I love RPD as both killer and survivor. I also love playing nurse because it feels good beating them.
true. Though I can't disagree with Kyto's arguments here. I also agree about the nurse, but the thing is, if you are to face a TRULY skilled nurse, which is almost never, the odds are against you. Realistically, if both sides play perfectly, including perfect survivor comms, the only thing that could worsen the result for the nurse is the map and the difference in builds/meta. On the current patch on a map like Lery's, or Crotus Prenn, a nurse can do much less than she could do 1-2 years ago on, say, Coal Tower.
I wanted more people to play hag. She's so fun to play and play against, she's already scared me a lot especially with Rusty Shackles
I don't know about that. But if you linger around the opened exit gates too long. That PARTICULAR survivor should get penalized with the exposed effect and then shortly after the gates should block on them. Something akin to the crows effect.
And I say that as a killer and survivor. Folks just hanging out to t bag should get penalized for dragging the match out. But also, the amount of times I've got hooked endgame after I popped the last gen, or unhooked someone else, only to observe my teammates hanging out by exit gates for a t bag while I bleed out on a hook.
Hard not to root for NOED and Blood Warden then.
