Also important to note here is that this makes him the only killer in the game with multiple chase tracks.

I want to point out, the reason that ghostface looks completely different from the movies is that ghostface is not licensed from scream but rather from FUN WORLD, the costume company that owns the ghostface mask. So despite ghostface being technically a licensed killer, besides the mask itself he's a totally original character.

Legion' chase music deserves justice, if not for the beat but for the fact that it is the only chase theme that changes based on add-ons

@@KytoYTJust FYI: if you’re going to do an aesthetics tier list again for anything else, I would suggest you do some research on music theory.
You marked off certain aspects of characters because you disliked certain elements of their music despite those elements being what made you like said music in the first place.
For example: Mike Myers. You disliked his chase music for the high pitched stinger that plays throughout the theme, but that sound is exactly what gives the chase music it’s tension effect. If you removed it, it wouldn’t be half as good even if it isn’t pleasant to listen to (it’s not supposed to be).
Giving nurses mori a 1 is actually criminal. The fact it mirrors how she killed her victims, the fact she's almost cradling them, the use of the blink in the 3rd person animation. It's such good character work, worthy of at least a 4

man if these comments tell you anything, you NEED to reevaluate your criteria for this. complaining about chase music or terror radius music being ‘hard to listen to’, when the whole point is that it’s meant to make you feel uncomfortable and (surprise surprise) scared is such a backwards and contradictory move. on top of that, you claim to want to highlight the ‘artistic side’ of dbd, but doing that means you have to appreciate that these sounds and designs are directly made with the intention of being unpleasant, and you barely do that or embrace the fact that this game is meant to be scary, it’s a horror game, all of this is meant to be scary to look at and to see coming at you through the dark, and you barely take that into account. you talk about how these third party characters have cosmetics or music that ‘suits their character’ but you don’t take that into account looking at original killers like the clown. his chase music and menu music is like that BECAUSE HES A CLOWN, and i guarantee that if they’d not made a decision to link his music into that side of his aesthetic then you’d be the one complaining. and don’t claim everything to not be based off of your opinion when it so clearly is. there’s no problem with that, but don’t try and say it isn’t when it so clearly is. The Unknown looks like "just a guy" because that's kinda the creatures goal. The Unknown is basically an amalgamation of everything everyone thinks it is. A monster that lures in prey with mimicry (he's got that Dwight skinsuit and the voicelines he's mimicked from victims), an alien with foreign biology (those freaky back tentacles), a sadistic woodland slasher (the axe), and a top secret government experiment (his UVX goo bomb).
Like people keep saying all the aspects of its design don't make any sense together, but the way I see it, that's kinda the point, and it executes it well imo.
Edit: The animations also play into this really well. It doesn't use the axe to break pallets it uses its foot, It hits survivors with the wrong side of the axe, etc. It's trying to be human but it's failing miserably, leading to the unacaniness of the killer. Also I don't think DBD can really have a truely scary killer, because the killer is always controlled by a person no different than the survivors, who can be goofy, toxic, sweaty, chill, etc. Not to mention the game is very brightly lit so there isn't much unknown outside of stealth on indoor maps or that Lights Out mode.
Also, The sound design of It is amazing, How when you weakend The Voice gets more human, that really creppy me out
This nails basically what i was thinking, it's been a while since i've seen a dbd original killer that really makes me scared of them so i was dissapointed to see unknown in C the dude looks freaking TERRIFYING.
And he also has a lot of personality, his animations are very different from other common killers, Like, I got REALLY scared when he caught me in the locker and looked at the camera with that smile😭

I think spirits mori should’ve been rated higher, it’s not just ‘stabbing’, it’s a reference to her lore and the rage she feels from her father and what he did to her & her mum.
He doesn't even know her lore, he doesn't seem to read up on a lot of the killers.

I find clowns chase music so incredibly fitting. My friend once said it the best : "it sounds like a circus falling down some stairs"
I actually love the Blight's menu theme the most. It perfectly encapsulates this character. It's tragic and somber. I think it also contains the main DBD melody, but only the first two notes before it trails off, which conveys to me how Talbot forgot his humanity. And one thing always comes to mind, a quote from his lore: "To understand the human condition, one must rise above it", but the chapter itself is called Descend Beyond, showing just how far he's fallen.

Edit: 2 smaller things to note here. I think that Artist's chase theme is very fitting, it makes me think of The Birds movie from Alfred Hitchcock, and whole flocks (or in the case of crows, murders) of birds swarming you in a chaotic, unpredictable way.
Also the Knight's Jack-O-Lantern skin from the Halloween Event is so undeniably cool. Take a look at it sometime.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who absolutely adores the blight’s music. It’s pretty much an orchestra about a man with great ambition and amazing ideas who lost his sense of humanity in search of making a difference, to become greater. To him, he feels he has ascended above the human race but for us viewing, he has descended beyond it. He is no longer himself, his ambition had backfired and what has resulted is a deformed, hideous creature with the music and parts of its appearance displaying, giving glimpses of the man it used to be.

What about the Spirit part like sure she's cool but saying she has arguably the best cosmetics is ridiculous to me. Arguably the best is Dredge like wtf compare both killers and everybody will say Dredge has better cosmetics. As a musician and artist at the art school all I just want to say that blights’s terror radius was a 5 because the high pitched sounds were referring to when he is sprinting next to you and they represent how u can see him just for an fraction of a second. Imagine that high pitch sound playing right when he sprints next to you. (Also the animations are def a 5 aswell because it’s really hard to animate all that running and stuff)

He should be, he was extremely disappointing. They marketed The Unknown as a creature that mimics people and brutally kills you while crawling in the analog/lost tapes horror genre and when it comes out, the Unknown looks like a regular guy but just distorted with an axe. And the fact that The Unknown is more Alien with the weird tentacles and a sprout that shoots gas balls. Biggest disappointment in dbd.

Honestly, we can't just say that an iconic killer will be the best in every tier list. It would be kind of a nepo-baby thing to treat him like that. This score was based on how the BHVR incorporated Myers into DBD regarding his aesthetic.

Im just at Hag, so im sorry if there is something changing... but i really dislike that you dont appreciate simplicity, Trapper is just the Original and the basic Terror Radius is great on Trapper and Wraith, i really hope they never get their own. Hillbillys Design is one of the best in the Game, i know its your subjective opinion, but if you look at Hillbilly, his lore and his Map, the Music and his overall Design is just perfect, he is one of the best designed Killer in DbD, similar with Deathslinger, Doctor and Unknown. I really dont get why you rather like flashy but unfitting than simple but fitting, putting Skull Merchant higher than Hillbilly is a crime, i know she got some love and i really like her Weapon, but she is still a rushed Killer if you listen to the Terror Radius and look at the Mori.

I genuinely don't appreciate these sorts of approaches to evaluating such things as the aesthetics. I am aware you made a point about "what comes later gets better, and that's why the old is low, so it's not bad," but knowing that, the tier-list formatting is flawed. This approach does more harm than good and fails to properly appreciate the thought that goes into the development of earlier killers, especially.
The fact that you criticize The Cannibal for his simple, almost human design in aspects outside his mask epitomizes the problem: What is the standard you are basing these issues off of? Because for what Bubba Sawyer *is,* the design is perfect. The tie, apron, dress-shirt and jeans give the appearance of a well-to-do family man, sharply contrasting his visage of human leather. It is iconic of the fact that the Sawyer Family normalized their cannibalistic instincts, and he is not a horror icon for being an monster in a vein similar to "The Thing" or The Dredge, but that he is a dumb, lumbering beast that will cut down anyone who comes close to recognizing him or his family for who they are.
The Tier-List format of ranking stuff has become so rampant these days. I admit I'm guilty of falling into the trap, myself, but it oversimplifies things to a stupid extreme, especially considering you open the video talking about details that people don't normally notice for these killers' designs, then minimize these so-precious details by compacting them into a single-digit rating that can't truly capture the true essence of these praise-worthy vistages. It doesn't work on a large scale like this, and you're just going to piss a lot of people off for what seems like being dismissive of half the killer roster.
Edit: Jesus, fuck, he rated the Blight's menu music a 3. He must have been injected with some serum, himself.

The main problem is that it has to be stressful for survivors, but bearable for killers. Killer players have to listen to it for the entire match pretty much.

idk if you know guys know this but the bell noises in her terror radius is actually a bell that is supposed to ward off spirits and that matches her theme cause she’s a ghost but this doesn’t effect the spirit cause of her anger cool detail
The Cenobite music would be a 5 for me because if you’ve watched the movies I don’t how but they managed to copy the exact style of music but make something new out of it. The score for the original was really well done so how they managed to do it was unbelievable

I personally like the bell in spirit's music, as in Japanese culture, the ringing of bells is used to ward off evil, so the frantic ringing of the bell makes sense.

I chose my mains based on their aesthetic, Legion first for their chase and menu music as well as the plethora of cool outfits on the store. And the second one Spirit after playing against her and finding her animations fascinating. And thankfully i enjoy their gameplay enough to not regret the choice i made to main them.
So, based on appearance, Trapper, Myers, Legion and Ghostface all are just dudes in masks, but Ghostface is cooler?
I can't believe he said Michael is just a dude in a mask when he's that iconic. Trapper has one of the best mask designs. And legion has more than one and they're good designs. Ghostface is little different because of how they changed his design from the movies and the DBD design is amazing but he's take is so unfair to the others.
To be fair ghost face is just way cooler, although a lot of that is influenced by his animations

Based on design, dredge and sadako are easily my favourites, and those are my 2 mains, but i purely chose them off that to begin with.
Dredge's cosmetics slap so hard imo, I can't believe he only got a score of 3 for cosmetics that are super unique, change the whole character up AND give you new sounds as well, because "he doesn't have many" when he's a newer killer.... meanwhile Ghostface gets a 4 when he doesn't have many and they're only a new set of clothes that are all pretty similar. Not trying to hate on Ghostie, but the reasoning for the scores make zero sense sometimes.

Deathslinger is the goat. He isnt "too human" because he isnt meant to be a monster. When he pops out from nowhere to get to you it is horrifying,the chase is also very fitting for him,also his lore is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. His cosmetics are amazing,even better now that we have stranger eddie, everytime i hear his layer 2 i get absolutely horrified because i have been absolutely decimated right after i hear that little dbd theme. His mori while amazing you,at a first glance would likely think that he is going really far with what he is doing but it's certainly far from the most brutal thing he ever did. Even just in his base lore hes described to slam someones head into prison bars until they kinda just got waffled,he also shoots someone with his prototype gun and their fucking guts spill out of them.
My thoughts exactly! He isn't a monster or slasher, he's a twisted take on pop culture cowpokes like what you'd see in spaghetti westerns. What's terrifying about him is his brilliance and sadism in building the redeemer

Spirit is NOT the first killer with Facial Expressions. Clown is. You can see it best when he's twirling his knife in the menu. They're not particularly good, but they are there.
Spirit's facial expressions are more common and noticeable though.

Unknown is S tier in my opinion. It is a manifestation of what people think it is. The axe comes from people who think it's a serial killer, the power from the military experiment conspiracys etc. Also the voice lines are perfect some of them are things people said before they died but others show that it has personality of its own and is not just mindlessly mimicking people it killed. There are also creepy undertones of it killing kids in the "want some candy" voice lines.

Legion's music fits because you can feel them approaching and ready to stab you to death. You can hear how they are right behind you with the rock music blaring in your ears. Their animations are so unique since their feral frenzy run and vault animations are so unique, no killer can do that except Wesker with his dash. Also even the normal window vault looks amazing Legion's music can change and ALSO remixed by combining add-ons. Tell me how that is low?? Their menu music is an absolute masterpiece and the terror radius just gives you that stress.
