What is your favorite DBD Chapter?
I won't go over every chapter, but where you struggled to find something for the Twins chapter, I can 100% say Victor; Without Victor, I don't think we would have gotten Chucky, or at least not when we did. As annoying as the little face scratcher is, he was easily the basis to make them think that a small killer could work

Cursed Legacy. I started playing when it came out, and I bought the chapter to play Oni. He's the first killer I've played, always been my main, and he's my favorite killer in the game. The Yamaoka maps are very cool too. That's my fav chapter

About Chucky and Tiffany s voice lines. Did you know that the person s who are giving them voice lines are actually actor s Brad Douriff and Jeniffer Tilly who are playing Charles Lee Ray and Tiffany Valentine in Bride of Chucky and they are the ones who are giving them voice lines. Sooo cool.

Since Childs play ,Brad as Always been the voice of chucky in all movies and even in the tv show. But did YOU know that his daughter plays the young Charles Lee Ray in the movie and she also plays in the serie ? At first i though they had de aged him digitally bit his daughter posted pictures from the set. Pinhead voice actor is also the Original Pinhead actor from the movies. Alan Wake is the same voice actor as in Alan wake 2 game. Ash also his real voice. Nic cage too. 😂

Alan Wake 2 is probably one of my favorite games of all time, and his addition to DbD made me come back to the game tbh. 100% a recommended game, and it's also standalone from the first game.

I don't care what people say the Twins was a great concept. Yeah they were broken for awhile but I haven't had much issue lately with them. Looking forward to what they do with the remake though.
I mean, they are fine if you don't play on a quarter of the maps, interact with stairs as Victor, swap near a hook at all and pray that the next patch doesn't bug Victor jump again. (Salty Twins Main who also loves the concept)
Amazing characters too. I know a lot of people didn't really vibe with it but I think the Twins were a masterclass of aesthetically combining realism and horror in a way later chapters couldn't do nearly as well.

one of the most underrated thing imo in curtain calls is the intro to the dbd shop cause this was the first time you could earn killers.
Yeah, the change with the ingame shop where people can just buy the base game and grind Iridescent Shards for the original killers is actually a good change. People were already complaining about the massive amounts of DLC packs to buy so this is a good way to let people have more value for their money.
Oh dude, I love the Alan Wake games! That chapter was a big reason I picked the game back up after so many years. I'd highly recommend giving the series a shot.

I've been running flashbang as of lately and sometimes when I go for saves, even though it's completely in front of the killer, they don't get blinded. I know that sometimes I misstime them or simply just don't position them correctly, but I would absolutely love a quick video on how flashbang works, like with a visual radius and cone, whatever it uses. I know you probably don't do video requests, but I would really appreciate it!

Ngl I think smth that I find really good with Sadako Rising is Yoichi and how they got to explore what he would be like as an adult. I think its just really neat the fact they were allowed to do that.
You mentioned how chuckys voice lines were done really well,
but on top of that the voice is part of their stealth mechanic to some degree as the laughing is one of the main ways to tell fake footfalls from real ones
There is also a desync from what the killer vs what survivors hears him say. Sometime survivors hear you talking from far away but on your end he doesnt say shit 😂

14:13 id say and I know a lot of people will agree with me the best thing about this chapter was the killer idea, lore, look, personality. Basically everything about the killer except the power. Despite the power just litteraly being what the leigon would’ve been in the realm of possibility if behavior implemented the 4 killer at once power it’s very flawed. But the lore is just perfect it really does great at telling you how frightened and scared you should be of him and his buddy’s. His visual look is like something out of Elden ring his chase music fits almost perfectly especially with the slamming of his iron boots as he chases you and even the map really will emphasize the killer like I don’t think I’ve ever seen a knight on borgo or played knight on borgo but the idea of seeing that junking mass in a destroyed city just says “this man is the reason why it all went to ruin” to be fair it’ll also give the same feeling with like nemesis myers dredge or such but it just fits with knight. If they did one thing right it was killer ascetic
ABSOLUTELY 💯 i was so down for this chapter and I was all for the idea of more Killers but the moment I saw it in game. NO 😒 people just use him to avoid busted loops and proxy camp hooks and I'm not telling anybody how to play the game but seriously that is just, wow. I can't believe he gets away with that for free.

I’m pretty compelled to make a video of this as well lol.
* Scream was the biggest reason I joined DBD in 2019, making Ghost Face the first killer to main!
* Huntress has such a haunting melody and a simple yet satisfying mechanic of hatchet throwing.
* The best thing about Forged in Fog, besides a few perks, was the Medieval theme. I absolutely loved Skyrim and knights from fantasy genres.
Enjoyable watch and interesting takes!
To go with the theme of the video, I personally must say I love the idea or design tho not maybe execution of the Twins. To be able to play as two characters where you'll be the most effective by always having an idea of where each respective character is placed at any given time is really cool to me. I have a friend who said he loves Knight because in other games he likes to play things where you got something or someone to help you like Torbjörns turret(OW) or a hunters pet(WoW), and I suppose in the same sense I find it really appealing to be in control over more than one "character" at any given moment.
But again, the overall execution and incentives to slug with the twins isn't really a banger but the idea behind it I love. Lets see when this prolonged rework comes out, maybe Twins will be juiced up when it does.
Alan Wake 2 is incredible, if you played re2 and enjoyed it then you’ll definitely like AW2 as the gameplay loop is very similar and the story is absolutely mind bending
Hey Kyto! Love the content man you’re a goat. But I gotta say I think you’re overlooking coup de grace. For killers who run noed it is simply a+ for late game chases and using your power on wesker for first hit, then coup vaulting them them the next is too fun
You should absolutely play Alan Wake sometime. I knew nothing about the game going into it, and it reminded me a lot of The Evil Dead and Silent Hill. It’s a fairly short game, beat it over a weekend this past Christmas. I’d love to watch your playthrough, or even just hear about it from videos! Thanks for another great video.

People keep saying huntress is busted when literally most of these maps have so much debris on it you can hide behind a lot of things 😒 I remember picking up her as my very first killer back in 2017 and 18 when the maps were not redesigned to have a bunch of stuff on them. She was balanced then because I actually had Fair matches and I was ranking up just fine and the heart of the survivors got the more my skill level increased because the maps allowed me to throw hatchets. Nowadays you hardly even see huntress because of how many indoor maps there are and if you do end up getting an outside map it's usually one that is cluttered with a bunch of debris.

Lerys was my favourite map for a long time when I first played dbd because it's so fun being a stealth killer on that map

My favorite part about Alan Wake's chapter is how well they recreated his home game. You lay not have played it, but I can tell you that his perks are basically a perfect mix of AW and DbD's gameplay combined.
To give an example, his home game has things called "safe havens." These are well lit areas where you can just sit for a minute, assess your situation and enemies won't attack you. A lot of times, you activate then with generators (which, btw, is a very similar qte as DbD's) and once you activate them, enemies stop coming near you.
Since totems tend to spawn near gens, you can finish a generator and then bless a totem and you basically have a safe haven for you and your team. It may not literally keep the killer away, but most killer players don't really patrol near finished gens often. Combine it with Circle of Healing and you have an almost fully functional safe haven.

2:19 Let me say I absolutely love lerys. And I mainly play killer. The two best maps for my bloodwarden/ just leave moments have been larrys and that one silent hill map. Not only that but In my opinion it has some of the best possible layout of chase potential because it’s not like other maps where there’s a certain area where you can lock down as a survivor and just play around the loop because the whole map is a loop so the survivor keeps you running instead of walking forward and backwards in the same place for 7 minutes. It’s fun.
its a really good map just so many... interesting loops I especially like all the loops, and spots for lithe and balanced landing and I just think that its a really cool and balanced map, and I think that head on is just so fun all around

YES. Please please please play the games. They are fantastic. Modern classics in the horror genre, and there’s a reason Alan Wake 2 won plenty of awards.

10:26 Something that was absolutely fantastic about that chapter if you were there when it came out was the background of the main menu. Thing was absolutely beautiful and from what I seen and heard really spark people wanting killers that didn’t get maps during this period of development to get some, to this day I’ll preach that if this chapter ever gets a map it’s gonna be absolutely breathtaking
8:55 my favorite aspect of this chapter has to be deathslinger. It’s basically huntress but I’d argue with an even higher or perhaps on parr skill ceiling and in my opinion has some of the most satisfying gameplay for killer side. I’m now entirely sure about survivor side as I don’t go up against many deathslingers but I will say the times I did it was incredibly fun dodging his spear by an inch and going against him not only showed me why I should keep using both reload addons but how fair he is for survivor. If he chooses to reload mid chase you can gain major distance and the deathslinger will have the choice to take a second shot and possibly lose MORE distance but end the chase quick or chase after and don’t risk it. And I feel despite most of slingers addons being shit the ones that aren’t shit are really creative and good. Iredecent coin is one of the best coins in the game cause the feeling of getting a long shot and looking at the bottom right giggling to yourself as you inch the full health survivor closer is priceless. Also the new Eddie and rift skin completely made up for his shitty skins problem. Deathslinger has been the new huntress that didn’t fuck up the system and nobody is talking about it.

6:48 id say the best thing about ash to this game was the introduction of comedy horror. My little game theory is that with ash’s great receiving from the fanbase behavior thought to bring in stuff like ghostface then Nicholas then chucky. Ash was the backbone to behaviors acceptance of the comedy horror aspect.
I'm obviously biased as a Singularity main, but I think Singularity's power design is a masterclass in both creativity and balance for both sides. 2023 felt like a year really dedicated to revitalizing the concept of the "trap killer", and while Knight and Merchant were definitely missteps in that regard, them managing to make a trap killer that surpasses the usual pitfalls in such a clever way is nothing less than miraculous. When nowadays the most common complaint about the new killers is that they play the same as older ones, Singularity's combination of on the fly trap setting and chase mobility makes him feels super unique and interesting. And for survivors, EMPs were a very clever way of allowing a killer to have such a freeform power without making playing against them feel oppressive or unengaging.
I know most people aren't super into him, and I do think he could definitely use some tweaks, but overall I think he's a great example of why it's worthwhile for BHVR to sometimes swing for the fences when it comes to weirder power designs.
Lery's really is pure chaos as right now there is a chance for two basements to spawn! 🤣 (And that chance aint small as I stumbled over this bug multiple times already)

So sad that you couldn’t come up with something better for the twins chapter. It’s honestly the most unique killer power imo and victor is such a great character that added a completely new perspective to what a killer can look like size wise (before Chucky). And i also just love his goofy little grunts and that u can take him on a little journey as a survivor haha. Besides the twins Elodie was also a great addition to the cast.
I hope this year they add a Sasquatch killer or something along the lines of that it would fit the theme of horror and the unknown with him being basically a skin walker

The only thing I slightly don't agree on is father campbells.
Aesthetic wise the map is fucking gorgeous, even back on its old iteration, however holy moly, the tile spawns can be an utter nightmare for both sides.
For example, if you are spawning in the carnival, the left side of the map can be a complete dead zone for survivors or an utter nightmare for the killer, the worst example I have seen and it CAN STILL HAPPEN.
Is having a vault facing the left side of the map from the chapel, and if the killer is VERY unlucky, it can have an L T wall spawn right next to it, with the vault facing said chapel vault, which results in a situation of, even if you break the breakable wall, its a chase you literally can't win, because if you cut through the middle of the L & T wall? They can just run to the chapel vault and force you back inside and run back around to the L T, And vice versa, its a nightmare.
But my least favourite example that happens pretty damn often is having a long wall jungle gym vault spawning at the non pallet side of shack FACING THE DOOR, meaning you have TWO vaults to work with.
And with most killers? You literally can't do anything about it other than just leave.
Again, gorgeous map with the updated graphics, though I do wish it wasn't less grungy and maybe had a bit more color to it rather than being washed out, tile spawns unfortunately is an issue with every map, but this map has it the worst from my experience.
Can't forget about that weird horse at the side of the map moaning :)

One thing I really like about Pinhead is that his perks are just... Good. They offer very consistent, basic value and are always a good fit if you have an open slot in your build. Can't go wrong with 'em.

Alan wake is an amazing game. I played it shortly after the announcement of him coming into dbd and it did not disappoint. I haven’t had the chance to play the second one, but I’ve heard it’s really good
Lery's always spawns a minimum of 4 god pallets, one in library, one in both long rooms on the side opposite of TV room and one behind either the long room on the bottom left or the very bottom of the map. God filler spawns other than those are random but there's a lot of different types of god fillers that can spawn, from the two variations of window + pallet that spawn next to each other and the god fillers in the corners of the map as well as a few fully random setups like god windows that cannot be mindgamed etc. The map is incredibly survivor-sided as you said, but saying the map is rng-dependent is a bit ridiculous.
i honestly feel like you could’ve given the twins a bit of props when you rated the chapter, it’s the very first killer that can basically have 2 killers at once on the map and can still be countered. they’ve made a very balanced killer while still having in my opinion a pretty powerful ability

About totems, i think all hexes should work like face the darkness. Except that totem should not become dull WHILE being clensed/blessed, and in 1s after clense is interrupted.

The best thing from Spark of Madness was the engine update and the addition of cloth physics. The best thing from Curtain Call was the addition of the cosmetics store and auric cells.
Honestly the game does need more snow maps. I think the other cool thing the Darkness Amogus update did was give us multiple versions of the same killer.
If it was cool or the preschool to do it, then it's cool for the teen serial killers to do it.
The first Alien movie was a Horror film and I think there isn´t anything as scary as when you try to get a turret and then a Xenomorph comes out of the turret station.^^

Alan Wake 2 was an absolutely masterpiece. I truly haven’t felt so invested in a game since Silent Hill 3. Seriously a masterpiece, even the jump scares got me which hasn’t happened in forever.
I know that this is your opinion only but I would change huntress to the introduction of projectiles to the game and legion to the introduction of the mend mechanic, because a snow map doesn't really change how you play the game, but otherwise your choices are valid

Alan Wake 1 is an average 360 era third person shooter but I highly recommend Alan Wake 2. That game is gas
I can't think of a single game that plays like Alan Wake. It had no cover shooting, no regenerating health, the elements of using light in tandem with gunplay to defeat enemies is quite unique.
Love huntress, one of the reasons I came back to the game.

Have not got her yet but I want tiffany. Can’t waste anymore money in this game for awhile.

Having finished and nearly platinumed Alan Wake it's pretty good, and probably fantastic for its time (2010 is old lmaoo) but I can see me liking Alan Wake 2 a LOT more

I think for alan wake,is the addition of a flashlight perk that is actually useful
the best thing about the Tools of Torment chapter are the survivors. both great additions (and background player is huge as well)
Unpopular opinion: The best thing about the All-Kill chapter is the attempt to bring a new aesthetic style into the game. I do agree that the Trickster would benefit from a more visually horrifying appearance rather than his current appearance
The best things about every chapter:
The Last Breath: Two of the best characters in the whole game given away for free.
Halloween: The start of something big with being the first license-holder who believed in this museum of horrors.
Of Flesh and Mud: I would agree with the Hexes but I gotta say: Ace's troll-face has to "win". xD
Left Behind: Borrowed Time for sure! I ran this perk for such a long time. It was my go-to perk.
Spark of Madness: The hallucinations and the sound-design. Tbh - It's annoying after a while but at the beginning it was really cool.
A Lullaby for the Dark: Introducing my favorite killer. Simple and complex at the same time. (And a bonus-point for her awesome lullaby)
LeatherFace: He's my favorite killer to play against. Outplaying a chainsaw feels rewarding. Holding the killer for a good amount of time feels awesome and stunning him is just so much fun 'cause of his stun-sound! :D
Nightmare on Elm Street: Probably my least favorite chapter of all but I really liked it how Freddy was at the very beginning. Only being vulnerable in the Dreamworld gave him so much depth lorewise. The screaming faces when pulling someone in the Dreamworld were cool too! It's sad that he wasn't strong enough tho.
Saw: It has to be the "cult" if booping the snoot!

I'd say the Artist's design and theme makes for the best chapter released. Now, I do love Resident Evil, but there is something about the Artist that just SCREAMS creepy.
Speaking of Boon perks. I do have a fair idea on how to balance Circle of Healing.
Boon: Circle of Healing - New effect
Grants a 11/22/33% increase to self heal efficiency with a med-kit. Effectively nullifying the self-healing charge penalty, allowing you to get three heals instead of two from a full med-kit with charge add-ons, all this without increasing the speed.
Healing others is 80/80/80% faster. - This will make it worth running over Botany Knowledge, but with the added risk of the totem being taken out by the killer.
Boon: Circle of Healing can not be put on the same totem twice.
I think the twins chapter was actually very good. They introduced probably the most unique killer power in the entire game and it was cool playing two characters in one.

I have been watching your videos about DBD and I got kinda interested in the game
So I decided to download the demo version of the game to give it a shot
It's just finished downloading today but I can't even make it to the game menu
It's just keep giving me different errors.I even used different DNS but nothing has changed.
I would very happy if you could help me about this situation.
Hex: Face The Darkness is God tier on Huntress, especially when paired with lethal. Lethal with face the darkness reveals survivors for 4! Seconds every 25 seconds they spend outside the terror radius. And if you also take her wooden fox addon, she loses her terror radius for a whopping 30 seconds every time she reloads... and it doesn't have a cooldown! So you can basically remain undetectable forever... all the while, you lose your terror radius which gets rid of Hex Face's terror radius limitation, causing survivors to scream even when standing next to you. Insanely broken.
