Yeah, he lifted for years still going super heavy while in major pain all the time. He said his whole bad was in extreme pain every, even his stomach. Every second of every day he said. He said it radiated down his back all the way to his feet all the time. He said he was stubborn and would never see doctors, not unless he collapsed he said. Eventually he couldn't walk at all, or barely so he needed his first surgery. That led to 15 or more surgeries. I wish he would have been a little less stubborn, but I know the feeling sometimes.

Not so much an expert, but Ronnie could get away with almost anything because of his one in a billion genetics and indeed huge amounts of steroids. He was an absolute beast and worked his ass off, but the vast majority of people shouldn't train anywhere close to how he did it.

Its not nonsense, its science. Ronnie was just a hyper responder and he could lift however the hell he wanted. The average joe is better off following the correct lifting techniques. Hes also barely able to walk now, so if you wanna end up like that lift like he did. 😂

People say Ronnie did a lot of volume but not really. From what I’m seeing here he only did maybe 1 to 2 max top sets and that was it. All the other previous sets were not to failure and just warmups. Heavy top set of barbell rows then moves on , 1 heavy tbar row and moves on , 1 heavy set of 1 arm rows and moves on. Literally did only 3 heavy sets for back lol.

not 3 heavy sets but 3 top sets.
      Pyramid sets.
He kept increasing weight every set and then finished it off with the hardest one. I don't know about you but 3 plates for a bent over row is still really heavy, that's not a warm up whatsoever.

@@dj_m1999 3 plates for a row is heavy AF I can verify that anything over and you have to be hoping your grip holds out tendons in fingers elbow joints, low back hips that are stabilizing don't start wearing out. This is from someone that has pursued the 4 plate row. It just gets much harder once you enter 3-3.5 plates territory imo
