I have been asked to do a video of the Nexus cleaning with an automatic on it, also I have done a comparison by cleaning the Nexus 320 manually too. We also cleaned the 24" Micro K1 Bead on the same video, after people asked.
The Automatic systems are very reliable and work very well! If you work away, or go on holiday often then they are for you. I personally don't mind cleaning them manually but the Auto is a great bit of kit. We were the first people to trial them on outdoor ponds and they are still running.
These videos were taken at the Quality Nishikigoi facility, these are some of our own filters. These are what we use at the shop!
We run 6 Nexus 320's and 2 Nexus 220 at the shop along with 3 K1 Micro Bead filters.
You can buy the Nexus 320 at qualitynishikigoi.com/nexus-p...

Hi guys, can I ask, what the difference is between a gravity and pump fed cetus.? And can they be changed easily? I'm currently pump fed but going to gravity next winter. Would like to get a cetus now and change when needed if possible. Cheers

Brill vid Tim, do you make ponds for costomers throughout the country, or just in your local counties?

Loving the videos, there all brilliant. Just a couple of questions if that’s ok.
Under what sort of pressure does the micro bead get too and does it fall under the PSSR regulations, like wise with the treatments and water charges that you do, do you have any discharge consent limits imposed on by your local water authority?
    I am just interested.
I deal with my local water authority and have to abide by strict discharge limits on lots of stuff and retain samples.
Do you have all your process written down as I could see some use for you to have those in place. Just a little bit of future proofing. Some with labelling flows of returns on your pipework etc. Thanks for all your quality videos. I am so going to making my small pond bigger at some point. I am very new to Koi keeping and only have four little 5” ones at the moment. I have learnt so much for watching your videos. Thanks 👍👍👍

Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my filter system. Currently, I have a Savo Skimmer box as well as a "Vortex" running off my 4" bottom drain. Would a Nexus replace the vortex? and I'd add a bead filter to my skimmer box.

    Hi mate
Is it necessary to have the bead filter and the nexus 320?
I’m getting a 11x5x4 approx 6500-7000 litres tropical monster pond and wondering what to get , also working out best way of heating , maybe gas boiler and electric heater as a back up
And also in a summer house build insulated 20x12ft building so a full design I think I’ll need if you know anyone to help please

  • @richd-koi6974

Good vid but for me part of the hobby is doing it yourself. Not a fan of the automatics. And the nexus does need a scrub with a brush n a rinse down with a hose pipe regularly. Love nexus mine has transformed my pond 👍

I've recently purchases an EA auto system and am loving it so far. I do have a question about the cycle time, is there a way to increase the cycle time to make sure the unit drains to waste fully? Mine is only draining halfway and I cannot find instructions on how to adjust, if it's even possible. Any guidance you could offer would be sincerely appreciated.

There is a way. Speak to EA and they will send you the instructions 👍🏻
