- I loved making the quilt I call my Terry Quilt because I was inspired by Terry Rowland who has a CZcams channel and a series of videos all about this technique - The Terry Blocks. My friends were married rather a long time ago and only now am I getting round to making this for them. They are very good friends and quite forgiving! I will be getting them to make quite a bit of this quilt as it progresses, but in this video we make a start by raiding my fabric stash! We had such a lovely morning.

Support from my lovely Patrons allows me to keep the sofa cushions plump and the plates of biscuits and pots of tea plentiful on The Lime Green Sofa and so for that I am very grateful! You can join them here for the price of a coffee or a craft magazine and watch the content there back to the start of 2019!

Such a fun happy project to do for and with friends. I have a smile on my face just watching you all digging through the fabric piles.
The Yin & Yang Quilt Series captures the spirit of this quilt. Jan and Jane are individuals but still two parts of a whole. I can’t wait to see the whole process.
This has been so enjoyable, can't wait for the next video. I get inspiration from different designs.
Thanks for sharing your thought process
The quilt will be a unique testament to collaboration, featuring the creative input of Kate, Jan, and Jane and highlighting the contributions of fabric designers. Witnessing the creative process unfold is both enjoyable and inspiring.
" Where two loves meet" would be a lovely title/name for the quilt.
What fun to go thru all those scraps! I laughed when Kate dumped all of them on the table. Wonderful quilt for the couple.
I can't wait to see this entire series.
I've knit, crocheted, embroidered and quilted for 60 years and the most wonderful part of quilting is remembering every little bit of fabric and thread in past quilts and still being thrilled to watch women quilting a new one.
Every quilter has a story and every quilt has a soul.
Magical really.
Ah. This just sets my heart at ease. Calming, relaxing, joyful. Kate, your friends are so lucky to have you in their lives!
Brilliant and I love the name of the previous comment - The Yin and Yang Quilt. Looking forward to the next episode
come back again, only because I love these two!!! Can't wait for the next update!!!!
🏳🌈💌
What a marvelous trio you make! Makes me smile all day! Happy Trails!
Love the camaraderie in this video! It's so much fun to quilt along with a friend and chat through fabric choices. Always love to see Kate sharing her joy and knowledge!

Kate, It is no surprise that you have so many friends and each one is just lovely. What a joy to share your love of quilting with Jan and Jane. Looking forward to watching all the different fabrics come together as one memorable quilt. Again, we all get to learn along with your friends - we will all be accomplished quilters! Thank you Kate and Anna ❤
I smiled all the way through this... How wonderful to spend time with dear friends and have a life long quilt to show for it... Magical. Thank you Kate for being you and sharing with us 💕
Kate’s Mission: make more quilters! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I recall you helping with their lovely wedding, I wish them many, many, happy years ahead. A quilt from Kate will be a treasure for them.
Time stamp 21:54 ----music, friends simply in time and space with one another. Those few seconds were balm to my frazzled soul today.
THANK YOU THANK YOU
Lovely episode creating a group project. I expect the whole will be greater than the parts. Looking forward to more of these delightful women.
Thank you Jen and Jane it’s absolutly brilliant how you all worked wonttake long to get a beautiful quilt
This is going to be a fun series to watch! I like seeing Jane and Jan choosing fabrics, cutting and ironing. It's a big project and good to have a lot of participation! 😃💖🌟
Yes, Kate, I agree everything is better with a team, companions. ❤❤
Wouldn’t I 💜💜💜 to be @ the table with you, sorting through all the beautiful pieces!
I so enjoyed this first episode. Can't wait to watch then entire process.
It was fun to watch the fabric scraps being piled up and then the process of choosing by Jane and Jan. Anna’s videography and editing is wonderful. 👍💚🪡🧵
I found your wonderful channel about 4 weeks ago and I’ve binged almost all of your posts. All I can say is wow you’re a lovely lady and I love everything you do. Plus I’ve learnt a lot from you. Love all the cats in the videos what a great life they’ve had living with you at The Last Homely House. I’m a lady of a similar age to you recently retired from 40 plus years as a nurse and really enjoying retirement. Stay well Kate, take care and now to Patreon to catch up on the posts there! 😊
So fun Kate...Love the teamwork. This will be such a Love Quilt having everyone constructing it!! Star @StellaQuilts
I loved watching the design process taking shape. Looking forward to the progression!!
I'm feeling quite inspired to make one of these once I've finished the current projects 😅
Thanks Kate for another lovely video (I watch whilst eating breakfast! A lovely gentle start to my usually hectic days!) Xxx
Thanks Kate!! You’ve inspired me to start another scrappy quilt!!😅
what fun you all are having, I enjoyed watching you on my birthday!
Hey! I read the book “Silver Linings Playbook”. It was so good. So when they made it into a movie, I wasn’t sure they’d capture the essence of the novel’s characters. I was wrong - they did a great job converting novel into film. So well done! Not surprised you all enjoyed it!
Lovely video and project! Many hands make light work! Looking forward to watching this project grow through the series!
I ❤️ patchwork also! I ❤️ my heirloom quilts made by my grandmothers in Virginia(USA)! Some of my dresses are represented, as well as other females in my family! Also, my Daddy’s shirts are represented! Precious memories indeed! 💜🪡🧵✂️
Hello from Georgia. So much fun; can't wait to see more.
I’m along for this ride! 🦌💌❤️🙏💕🪡
I love your Terry quilts! And ever since I saw your video on the Teri quilt, I’ve been wanting to make one. I have been going through my scraps and trying to use them up on different types of scrap quilts, and this one in particular does tickle my fancy! I just love watching you and your videos. The ladies are very sweet and charming. How fun to make a quilt together! ❤
I love Terry Rowland quilts- she gives clear simple instructions how to use.. thank you Kate and Terrry
Kate you will have to go back andvsee the Jane and Jan's faces when you dumped the fabric on the table. There faces were objects a kid in a candy shop. They had wonderful smiles on there faces. They are going to be a great series.
It was quite fascinating to watch the two pick the colors they liked - and I look forward to the rest of the process. Very interesting to watch two individuals work on one quilt.
Ooooh this is going to be fun. I do love a group project. Can't believe it's nearly six years since Jan and Jane got married.
Loving watching this.
Ahhh 2 more sweet ladies on the learning team, with patience teacher Kate! Onward and upwards will get the Terry quilt finished! 🇨🇦👍👍💖🦋🌈

How lovely to see old friends together.
Oh, what fun! Friends gathering, chatting, working together on a beautiful project. This will be a favorite.
You, Kate are a wonderful teacher - so clear and kind. I love this quilt pattern and it is perfect for blending a warm side with a cool side.
I'm looking forward to seeing you girls construct a masterpiece and you will!
Love this endeavor!! Makes me want to make one like that also!! How sweet that y’all are friends, each one with her own strengths.
What a fantastic way to honour these two persons with their own personal colours in a quilt, looking forward to the process 😊
It is so much fun when there are several people working together! I thoroughly enjoy watching the journey.
Brave of you to have two women with different likes to make one quilt to share in their cinema room.
Had to pass on this video
@@margaretcurry8414Sorry you’ll miss the opportunity to learn so much.
@@margaretcurry8414 Why?

Love watching you girls sorting through all of the fabric! Such fun! It will be a real treat to watch this series and discover how it all turns out!
It's such fun to sort through someone else's scraps! I look forward to how this will come together. :)
Thank you Jane and Jan for being part of the series. I LOVED watching you both dig into all the fabric. Look forward to following you all along the way of making the quilt and MAYBE a peek into your cinema room with quilt once finished. Sounds a fab room. Love Leanne New Zealand xx
Great episode. Good meeting Jane and Jan.
I love listening to you ❤. Thanks for sharing the thread color ☺️
Thank you. It will be interesting to see how you bring the different colours together in the end. Colour wash quilts are so lovely.
How nice to meet Jan and Jane! I remember when you made the bunting. I am slogging through a disappearing 9 patch quilt top and this has really motivated me to keep going.
This is such a treat. I hope the women shars their cinema room. I love their concept to bring their quilt to life that encompasses each of their desires. Lovely. ❤
Thank you Kate, Jan and Jane for sharing in your story with us all. I am a multi craft lover but i am totally with Jane and the numbers, precision, etc, sorry Jan and Kate. This is going to be a bonny quilt when it is finished with the two sides meeting and mixing, with what both ladies love in the center of it and that is how a wedding quilt should be for me. You are not both the same, you have your own likes and dislikes, but there is somethings that you are united in, which like this quilt, brings you both together. I would have helped you make the 5000 pompoms ladies quite happily, as it used to be what my brother Jim and i did as children for Mum, with the cardboard circles made out of cereal packets. I bet you were glad when you or if you found out those wonderful new pompom makers, they make making them a piece of cake. See you both in the next part of your quilt story. Crafty hugs to you all, from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland
This series is going to be a lot of fun to watch. I’m excited. You’ve got your hands full on this one, Kate. 😊❤
So very nice to get together, and make such a special quilt. Love seeing the thought process, and involvement of all.
So much fun!
Nice to be here with you all. ❤thanks so very much for being you!!😘
That looks like so much fun! Looking forward to more of this series!
I adore this video, Kate! I know you have made a point that the green sofa is not a political space and all are welcome, I just have to say how meaningful this is to myself as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Thank you for this and the love you share with your friends and viewers!
Me too ❤
What lovely ladies!! This is going to be a fantastic project to watch unfold. Kate, you have the best friends😘
How fun was this!.
❤ perfect timing for me, our scrap group is making a Terri quilt. We will start in a couple of weeks which will give me time to start going through scraps. 😊
Good Luck Girls! I know you will do a spectacular job with Kate as your guide.
This is so exciting. All those gorgeous fabrics and such a team. 🤭🤗
Kate, I love how you are always willing to take on a new challenge and always seem to have fun doing so!
I love this so much! My sister is getting married this summer and I am making a similar sort of quilt for her- there really are endless ways to lay out all these little squares. It is so good to see the three of you in the process all together. Looking forward to seeing how this quilt progresses in the series!
My own color wash Terry quilt is in progress, so I’m thrilled that you’re going to be making another one with Jan and Jane. I know the three of you will have tons of fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress.
So is mine....I will probably be finished in ten years time....lol

Thank you, Jan and Jane, for letting us in on this journey! I can't wait to see how the two sides marry into a glorious middle! A true Partners quilt in the making!
Looks like you all will have a grand time doing this project ❤❤❤
“Very well behaved” LOL. Kate you always make me laugh.
This is going to be fascinating! I'm really looking forward to watching it all come together. It was interesting seeing the differences between two people, and to see how they recognised those differences, and yet were in harmony. I think this quilt will embody that. Its always good to see you Kate. You're my favourite youtuber. Also I've been watching Ant's antics on his channel. What a diverse life he has and how interesting!
Oh, I think this is going to a great series, I am excited to for these two. 🌹🌹🌹😊
“J-J’s project sounds right to me …. Loved the info and help you give not only to them both but all of us on the LGS xx

Here in the south of India where I stay we don't need quilts, it's pretty hot throughout the year but I'm just fascinated by your quilts, your baskets, your pottery, I can watch your channel for hours together ❤️....love your cats too.❤
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
What a delight to spend half an hour with the three of you. Look forward to following the progress of the quilt.
What fun for all of us. Nothing better than going thru someone else's scraps and making somethi g beautiful.
What a beautiful video, thank you thank you. The Wedding Quilt Series.
Glad to see that you will be working as a team, to make their quilt! By the time you’re done, you’ll make quilters out of them, Kate!!😂😂😂 🌿🌷🌷🌷🌿
What a lovely video. I really look forward to more of the series. It was so nice to see them learning from you and joining in. So funny when one said she hadn't ironed in 22 years and the other said she hadn't hovered in 22 years. That made me chuckle. Thank you for yet another great video.
Kate I love your videos. They just aren't long enough or often enough. Can't wait for the next installment of this quilt.
