I can’t believe it’s 4 years already. I listen to your 2020 guide and built my first PC then fell down the rabbit hole of computers and now got a job as an IT Technician.
So all I can say is Thank You for inspiring me. It’s kinda lame when I typed it out but I mean it.
Cool Story
How'd u end up getting the job¿
@@Shadow_1695After building my PC I just kept learning things about computers and then decided I should try to get a job working with computers. I changed my major to IT because it was a new major they just started offering at my college.
I got an internship at an IT department. They liked me and a position opened up they offered me the job. I’m didn’t even graduate yet.
😂😂😂 I could see how u see it’s lame… but tbh I’m glad u said it because it gives me an idea of what I might wanna do it’s almost like a little circle of inspiration 😂😂
@watertowerguy oh that's amazing!
Might consider it myself tbh
Thanks for this vid. My son is currently following along as he builds a pc. Suffering from anxiety, deppression etc it is good to see him enjoying something and gaining a sense of self achievement.
Thanks again.
how did it go?
@@okbommer8489 Very well thanks. Over 2 grand worth of gear, a big responsibility, passed with only once asking for help to hold the processor cooler in place as he put the screws in. Really proud.
@@TheDalaiLamaCon nice what kinda specs is he runing ?
@@TheDalaiLamaCon2 GRAND??!! HOW MUCH MONEYYYYY
A 3 hour video?!? Insane, Love it.
The perfect duration for a pc build ;)
Nah, Whats insane is it took till AM5 for AMD to quit using those bendable pens on there processors.
@@Mikesusendsadasdc what does that have to do with the length of the video?
What kind of attention span you got lmao 🤣
@@kirby21-xz4rxsomething to zone out to I guess
Been watching pc building tutorials for the past 2 months in preparation for my new build and I must say this is one of the most informative and comprehensive videos I’ve ever watched on the subject. Definitely gained a new sub!
Yeah you can definitely say that this is the all in 1 video that you need to build your PC for the first time
Ok I know there are quite a few channels that show you how to build a pc, but Austin's teaching is super easy to follow and he explains the process so that dummies like me can understand it. My next pc I will build myself and I will watch this video again to do it. Thank you Austin.
Still making tutorials in 2024 nice
Downside 3hrs long
*in 2024
yeah not everyone knows how to build one. itsl ike im sure you cant build a car engine. and 3 hours long is perfect because he is the only one who goes in details
Surely it just the same as it was in 2023
@@CricketEngland basically that’s why I’m surprised to see another one, but I’m sure a few things changed
i dont know if its just me but its so satisfying watching these types of videos of austin building pcs. or when the crew compete against each other like in broke vs pro
As of this video, I built my first PC using last year's guide from you exactly a week ago and honestly dude, can't stress "thank you" enough. You were clean, thorough, explained everything needed and this build went without a hitch! Major props to you, Austin, and thanks again, dude!!! ✨
I began watching Austin's PC build videos in about 2019, but I finally built my first computer this past Winter holiday. Thanks Austin!
I watched his in 2013- stopped watching for a little bit but came back in 2019 and love mystery tech now🤣
In 2019
Just bought the last part for my new build, haven't gotten any new parts since 2017 and so excited to do it all again, you helped me then and thanks for helping me again Austin!
Wanted to say thanks so much for the video. Just finished my first ever gaming pc build from scratch. Didn't have these same parts, but your video made it easier for me to understand everything going on with the parts I did get. Amazingly, everything worked great from the start. Much appreciated!
One of my favorite type of videos on this channel. This is what actually made me build my own PC back in 2020. Thank you Austin. Keep making great content like always.
This is an amazing tutorial. I originally subscribed to watch Austin’s PC builds at different price points ($500, $700, $800, etc.) back in the day so pretty stoked to see another PC focused video.
This video is a gem even for non first time builders. I build my first pc when i was 14 back in the beginning of the 90's and things have changed so much since then. Big thanks to you and all the team worked behind the camera.
What an amazing video! I’ve been watching you since 2014, around 10 years old and here I am, 2024, 19, and finally built my first PC, and I could not thank you enough for everything you’ve done. This video and many others inspired me to get on the PC build grind, so thank you for everything man. Have a good one
Thanks to this tutorial I built my second ever gaming pc, and I must say it was very informative because last time I built my computer was 2019 and lots of things have changed since then! Ive been watching your videos for a long time, so when I saw this this video got uploaded I knew I had to save it to use later. Thanks!
Just started the video, and love how you include an explanation of each of part when it comes to PC build
ive seen him making builds like this since 2020.. great that he still makes tutorials
Thanks for this I’m building my brother a pc this weekend and having this as a refresher (haven’t built a pc in a few years) has been very helpful
Nice to see a realistic PC Build video.
Just replaced my 3060 with a 4070 Super and had no idea about the new power connector. The MSI Card I bought recommends not to use the PCIE Splitter cable (came with my Corsair 650w)to the adapter. So I found a Corsair replacement that just has the one new connector straight to two PCIE power ports on the power supply.
@@disguiseddv8ant486
Mmm that's not really true, an 8-pin connector doesn't 'provide' 150W, it tells the card it can draw *up to* 150W from that 8-pin plug. You can plug a split 8-pin into two connectors on the card and the PSU will happily provide up to 300W through it. Whether you're comfortable with that is personal preference, but the 150W standard is way below the dangerous level for up to spec cables.
Woah, it's 2024, which means I've been watching your videos for 10 years. I originally found you from someone sending me your photon build, and that was the basis for my first ever PC. I just rewatched that video for a nostalgia trip. She still serves me today after thousands of hours and having every part upgraded multiple times, still all AMD.
It's been a great ride watching you all this time and I hope you continue with educational and entertaining content! Thanks for your videos
I'm about to attempt my first pc build (and first pc since 2001). I've been flirting with the idea for a while now, but this year I'll finally have the funds to do it. I can't tell you how many times I've watched ALL of your "pc build" videos. I swear every updated video, you find a way to be more detailed and explain things better (not that you weren't great the first time), you find a way. I appreciate you and everyone behind the camera very much.
FINALLY someone who actually did a good job building a pc video for beginners that does a great job explaining for beginners. Ty for explaining every port on a motherboard.
linus tech tips and jayztwo cents do an amazing job too
I am honestly grateful for these tutorials, you’re probably one of the few CZcamsrs left that actually cares about doing pc build guides
I recently built a pc last year in December and I was watching your 2023 PC Built Tutorial on how to built one. Thank you Austin for the amazing help 😌👌
I love watching these build guides I built my first pc last year following along to your video it really helped me a lot and I enjoy that PC and am planning on building pcs and selling them when I upgrade to a new pc
Thank you so much for doing these tutorials for four years!! I got interested in computers when I came across your 2020 vid! Thank you.
plan on making my first pc soon and found this video incredibly helpful. helped ease my anxiety on spending a chunk of money and messing it up. thank you.
Austin helped my build my PC last year. This video is even better. Even more detailed. I love it!
I bought all the components to build my first PC this morning and this video came in clutch! It took me a while to finish it, but it was my first time so its okay. Its funny that I have seen many videos like this in the past even when I wasn't planning on building a PC at the time lol
30 years PC technician here. The components you should not skimp on 1st is your PSU ( Power Supply ) , second component your motherboard
My two cents. The easiest way to find where everything on the motherboard is, is to just take a picture of it with your phone. You can always refer to it. Wear gloves and don't stand on a rug when assembling your PC. Great video, direct, right to the point, no BS. Thank You
Gloves are overkill but agreed on the rug part. You dont want to create static and kill your mainboard :D
This was super helpful, thank you! I hadn't built a pc in over a decade but this brilliant tutorial gave me the confidence to put together a nice gaming box in a couple of hours with no issues whatsoever. It POSTed first try and everything is recognized and all the fans and panel switches/LEDs are working with all the cables nicely routed and secured. But I forgot I didn't have a USB keyboard and mouse so I'm stymied updating BIOS and installing Windows until tomorrow.
Thanks a lot man i was actually looking for a detailed guide which i couldn't find any and i was planning build my first pc at the same time
Built my first PC today using this tutorial with no issues! you the man Austin! i cheered with ya at the end
i’ve been waiting for this since the start of 2024 😅. I love your work and how helpful you are, keep going austin we will keep watching ❤. (I better not see a “I have some news” video 😡)
I also built my PC from your 2020 build and still strong. Thank you 👍🏾
I love these tutorials man I have to say when I got my custom pre built this made me realize I should have built my own and your last intel build vid started a monster I went from a custom pre build of a 13700kf 3060 16gb of RAMM to HIGH END build not a single piece of my PC not even a single piece from the custom pre built is a part of my main PC 14900k 128gb RAMM 4070 ti super THANK AUSTIN!!!! for helping me find a true passion (expensive one cough cough) I love building them and learning about them again THANK YOU!!!!!! keep these going hope more people pick it up from watching these
I would like to thank you very, very much Austin. I watched this video dozens of times while i was waiting to get all the pieces for my very first pc, and then just yesterday, after the last couple of pieces arrived, i managed to assemble it and everything went perfectly.
It was an awesome experience and i'm so happy about the results.
Again, thank you so much for the video, for how great you are explaining how to do things and for your energy!
literally just built a PC yesterday and finished today because of you, thank you so much, did a ryzen 9 bundle and a radeon graphics card, with a all black custom case ,fist time ever thinking about or touching a PC. I wanted one for youtube and podcasting with content creation but streaming as a back burner to help me get into my games again more. computer is fast as shit and beyond what I expected for me to only have ever been on consoles. now time to take my career to a nw level.
Damn I’m barely starting and like I feel confused but I hope to be in your shoes soon
Thanks Austin! I’m looking into building my pc. This gives me so much confidence!!❤
This is great, thanks! I'm looking to build my first gaming pc and that bundle & save deal would be perfect, but I'm in Canada. I wish we had a Micro Center.
I used your 2023 guide to build my first pc and I was looking foward to this video
I wish we had a Micro Center here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Or at least, I wish it would open sooner. There's a Micro Center opening in Q4 2024 at the old Bed Bath & Beyond on Stevens Creek Blvd. in Santa Clara.
Damn you guys are lucky. I live about an hour from Sac and my town only has a terrible Staples.
Dang I’m 3.5-4 hours from one
I live 20 minutes from my local one in Cambridge Massachusetts. I'll be going by tomorrow to do my parts pick for my first build after decades of console use.
Thanks! About to begin my first build. This came in very handy!
Thank you Austin! I just built my first PC thanks to you mostly and a couple other channels for more intricate rgb cabling lol but you got me through it all. I really appreciate you dude! My first boot was a success and updated bios and everything was successful. No issues. For my first time..I gotta say I'm pretty proud of myself haha 😅 the stress was killing me and anxiety but I made it through! Tysm!!!!
I'm 'bout to end this man's whole career.
In removing thermal paste, I tend to use coffee filters. Coffee filters won't leave lint or residue behind. 👍
I've been waiting for this! Can't wait to use this video when I build my PC here in a few days.
Respect for making an 3 hour video on how to build a pc in 2024 😄i alwyas enjoy watching/listening to u so this is like a gift
Fantastic tutorial. Super clear, very little jargon, helpful tips about things unclear unless you have experience building PC's. I can't find fault in this video. Love your work, Austin and team. Please continue for a long long time. GG's.
Built my first computer ever. Thank you for making it so straightforward. Your video is incredibly helpful. Thank you!
I am building a gaming pc with ryzen 7 7800x3d, Asus Tuf x670e plus Wi-Fi and a gigabyte Rtx 4070 super Gaming OC. I have been watching your 2023 and now your 2024 videos and they are the best I’ve found. Great Job !! You give enough information to build a wide variety of gaming desktops.
One thing for the standoffs, if you have something like an iFixIt kit, you can use the 5 mm socket to install/remove them.
Thank you for this video I've been wanting to do a build but didn't know how to . This was very informative and very easy to follow
This was extremely helpful when I built my new gaming pc for the first time. I only had a 5 year old pre-built laptop, but I thought it would be nice to try picking parts for myself. The only snag I hit was when installing Windows where it didn't want to install on any of the M2 drives I put in. I had to look elsewhere to format the drive to continue.
Never built apc but learning. Great instructions, entertaining and good editing. Ty!
Phenomenal tutorial! I was able to build a PC in about 4 hours with my 8 year old and 12 year old daughters. Austin, you are a true professional! Through, entertaining, energetic, and knowledgable beyond compare!
yo austin idk if youll ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you, there was so many things that I didnt know when it came about checking specs, changing settings, and where to plug stuff in. I found this video more than helpful and I just wanted to say thank you ❤
It’s raining outside, and I fell asleep watching this. It was great. Thank you!
Elite video. I watched this video, along with others to help me pick my parts for my first pc build. This was the primary video i watched in building said pc. I learned so much about the way everything works. Everything works as intended! Thanks for this.
Just argb connectors are pesky. Got two of 3 of them up and running, the last one is giving me the blues. 😅
Casually drops a 3 hour long video
Ordered all my PC parts gonna be building my first PC and use this entire vid for building it outside of the fan since its different nervous, but looking forward to it!!!!
Built my first PC in 2019 following a tutorial from ol’ Austin. This is much more in-depth. Definitely follow along!
Back then he said the case doesn’t matter, could be a cardboard box (Austin, in fact has built computers out of cardboard) but he puts more emphasis into it now. I agree! I cheaper put on the case and, though the system was fantastic, I had to stare at what looked like a disappointment on the outside. Get a case you like.
Great video! Currently gathering all the components! Will build and complete hopefully by the end of the year. Subscribed!
I appreciate the clarity of your communication
Did I, an IT major with plenty of experience both building and repairing PCs, just spend 3 hours watching a "how to build a PC" video? Yes, yes I did.
Did I enjoy every minute of it? Yes, yes I did
Thanks Austin I’m currently saving for parts, very helpful ❤
Holyyy wow Just finished building my first PC! what a friggin journey Lol Couldn't had done it without my local Micro Center and your help Austin. Big W! Cheers!
I was just looking up pc stuff and builds knowing nothing about pcs, and was scared to build it myself and was gunna pay someone to do it. But I think I’m confident to do it myself now. Thank you so much. Love the walk through
Amazing video. I just used this video to build my first gaming PC. Thank you!
Awesome job on the explanations of what things are and what they do. Great guide for first time builders. One thing I would say is if you do throw away your boxes, make sure to cut out and keep the serial numbers for warranty purposes. I have only had to RMA like 3 things in the past 20+ years but I was thankful that I had those serial numbers. Also, even though it can be a pain, register your stuff if possible. I have seen friends fight with an RMA because they didn't have a proof of purchase and the manufacturer used the date the item was made and not the purchase date. Again great video!
I appreciate the thoroughness of this. I'm feeling so much more confident that I'll be able to do this. Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial, this was a lot of great information, looking forward to building my first Pc.
Tomorrow I'll be building my first PC in 17 years:) and this video is exactly everything that i need. Thanks man!
I was just about to build and this came up, amazing and thanks.
AK400? Where’s the AK47 😂😂😂
This was excellent. I watched the entire thing. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.
I didnt "need" this video, already built my first pc, but this autoplayed and I watched the first 10 minutes and I can already say this is a solid guide!! Great information here.
I'm completely new to the gaming pc world. Thank you for your video. It is very informative.
Super good video, congratulations, the best computer video that I've ever seen in CZcams.
thanks, always nice to refresh knowledge when building a new system
I started building PCs because of you, Austin. Thanks for uploading more building tutorials!
I remember building my first pc and watching you way back when. Keep making videos Austin ❤️ you inspire me every day
Damn it i'm in 2025 what should I do?
Lol😂
Sorry bro you gotta wait a year
How much is Ngreedia asking for the 5090? $3000???
take notes of all the teams that win in major sports so you can bet on them when you come back
Go to 2024
i have been waiting for this vid for a LONGGGG time. thank you so much!
Legend! Nice one dude 😎
When is “How to Build a Gaming PC with all Components Purchased on Temu” gonna drop? 🤓
💀
I've build a couple of pcs, but I really enjoyed this video. Plus, I just bought this exact case.
You know its a good tutorial when my pc successfully boots first try on my first ever build. Amazing video 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Very informative vid for ppl with surface knowledge on building PC's really helpful, really like your vids!!
It's like he's trying to teach a baby how to build a PC; very thorough!
2:33:33 the yellow color GPU connector is a safety measure after the melting connectors drama. The Idea is, after connecting it to the GPU you won't be able to see the yellow color, otherwise it's not properly connected.
Honestly helped me heaps! I am building my pc in the next few weeks as buying parts weekly 🎉 going to watch this a few times so I’m ready 🤣
XDDD
DDD
lol
Wonder how this compares with Linus Tech Tip video for "PC Building Tutorial"? Nice work Austin and to his team.
Just built my first gaming pc from scratch using this guide! Thanks for all the help!
Gosh this is so nostalgic. Great video Austin!
You are using the 4070 dual super. the one you have listed in the description is the 3 fan 4070 super can i use either?
even though this will probably be lost to the void of the internet. I just want you to know that, Your videos taught me how to build PCs 9 years ago, i will forever be grateful for you and these videos. Thanks so much Austin for all the years of knowledge. You were the first person to teach me that i can teach myself.
Your videos are so incredibly helpful. My son and I are attempting our first custom build. What is the website for that drivers download support page?
Great video Austin I will be giving it a try next week wish me luck
