The stage 1 car is running 360BHP stock is 280BHP but wasn't able to feel the full power due to the rain.

Remapping any turbo car (specially german cars) always transforms the car and by far the best value for money when it comes to performance. Stage 2 is when things get expensive front mount intercooler, exhaust, decat, induction kit and another map to get the most out of it. The amount of the power you get out of a stage 1 map in your car it should keep you happy for a long time

Just wanted to let you know I've had my Cupra 290 Stage 1 tuned by BSR with an air intake from Eventuri (definitely worth checking out) and I'm on 370 HP (+55 map & +25 intake) and 450 Nm (+70 map & 30 intake). The torque is a very important figure, that's what gives you the pull and pushes you back into your seat. Speed limiter lifted to 186 mph.
It's really cool how the ECU adapts to the modifications with the exhaust system still fully stock (Cupra 290 received and upgraded sports exhaust system from the 280)! It's as if you've changed the exhaust but you haven't so there is definitely potential. Personally I have a turbo inlet hose (silicone), turbo inlet elbow, turbo muffler delete and turbo blanket to complement the tune-up. I'd like to say that a cold air intake is almost a must as the stock airflow pathway is very restricted.
The Cupra is a wolf in sheeps clothing which is what I love the most about it!

I have a 2016 cupra 290 and from what I heard the 290 had the resonater delete from factory as 280 was way too quiet

Yes it will be worth it and if you got yours remapped the dsg box will be able to handle the extra power. Make sure you go for a custom remap and do your research on tuning companys
I feel relieved to hear that whistley noise when you opened the door at the start. Thought only mine did that.

Stage 2+. Even better. 400bhp 418ftlb is amazing without abusing the tyres if you drive properly.
I would get the Stage 1 and get more crackles/pops and bangs which I think is a separate thing! It would be even quicker and it would sound nice!

Stick some Michelin pilotsport 4s on and the grip is night and day. In running stage 1 and in the dry there is no wheel spin and in conditions like that it's maybe a little bit in second

My has been remaped by revo. It is an absolute animal. Have to apply throttle slowly in wet to get power down but in dry it's a beast!!

My stage 1 Revo us supposed to be 370ish Bhp but spins too much even with Pirelli P zeros on it, also what do u recommend i do to the exhaust for louder crackles but not loud engine noise as i like quiet everyday kinda cars hence why i got stage 1 only. 👊🏼

Was wondering what the monthly payment is I put £1500 down and pay £310 for a A180 Mercedes (19) insurance is a joke on anything high (currently £2700) on a 1.5 diesel but really like the Cupras want one for my next car
iiReiss forget it if you dont have the money to buy it outright you should never get 1 and also way to young insurance wont cover you until ur older without having a bad history.
CarPassion financing allows you to pay for a better car tho.. I agree if you can only just afford it don’t bother but I have a few months in advance payments

Yeah, I got a 290 hp cupra and it does that in the 1st gear, but the other gears totally nailed it!

Also I gotta say. Seems a bit pointless to remap that Cupra as all that wheelspin is just wasted power.
The Cupra 300 does 0-60 in like 5.7 seconds due to lack of traction, so adding another 50-60bhp is just going to make things worse.
GamerLAD drive both and say that. 1st is wasted but all other gears loads faster

What's wrong with start stop on turbo cars ?
When the engine stops the oil pump does not pump oil to the turbo that is still spinning and eventually the turbo goes bad

Mistaken. From 60 mph is magicly faster than cars above 100.000 €£. 100 kmh to 200 kmh is way faster than most of cars.
