- Had a great day filming with this Seat Leon Cupra! crazy how fast a stage 1 Leon Cupra really is.. and compaired to a stage 2 Golf R on a roll id say there's nothing in it! I guess the lack of 4wd helps with the overall weight.. defo makes for a great alturnitive from ur golf Rs and GTIs etc..

The Cupra 5F is a very underrated car.. I dropped into my Cupra 300 DSG from a 310bhp/340ft-lb fully bolted and J-tuned Mazda 3 MPS and I believe in the stock form the Cupra would walk my old MPS. The way the car can corner as well is unbelievable, like shit to a blanket.

stokecityyouth Yeah they’re good handling cars! Although the diesel is nowhere near as quick as Cupra I’ve shocked a few bigger cars the way it grips with good tyres.
@@a20axf I had the 184bhp FR diesel, was pretty quick tbh, alot of torque, plus has same multi link suspension as the cupra

This is designed for more rolling speeds and will pull better top end than the othet 4wd DSGs with same engine.

@@rossmale8715 I've got a lowly FR 190, and that thing hardly what's to hook up. I've never owned a car that spins it's font wheels so easy. I did plan to remap it, got it in Nov, but decided to wait till the summer. As I found my lanes I was quicker in 'normal' mode that 'sport', In the damp.
It's quicker than my old gtc, but doesn't handlevand grip half as well, thst thing went round corners at silly speeds, and kept pulling. My loen washes out much earlier on the same corners I've fornd.

Cupras are bloody awesome. Have a MK1 1.8T, just over 200bhp and such a fun car to drive. Getting mapped soon, can’t wait👍

Stage 1 in a cupra front wheel drive is more than enough power for these roads, and that’s coming from a golf r stage 1 owner myself . Great car , abit to much wheel hop for my liking but once it grips , that thing moves 👍🏻

I put PS4s on my Revo stage 1 Cupra last summer an it 90% stopped wheel hop an spinning even from 1st gear sometimes
@@dennis.r1064 My Cupra 300 DSG pulls on Golf Rs on a roll. Lighter and less transmission losses.. The wheel hop and traction issues are solved with PS4s and a decent dog bone mount.

Regards to brakes juddering. New discs need to be bedded in properly and also worth changing fluid to motul or something and also uprated lines improve the feel

@@jamstersmith4625 haha to be honest I've had a few performance cars but this TTRS is just something else. I consistently pull 3.1 0-60's even in not so good conditions. Can't wait for the summer to see what it'll do with warm tarmac. I've only had the car for 6 months.

Yeah, you ought to keep the traction on.... I have a CUPRA 290 with the exact same Air intake and a remap and it’s a right handful without the traction on, even with pilot sports on... Makes much better use of the diff with the traction on imo

Honestly not bad atal imo.. stock U’ll get 40+ mpg.. tuned ur still get low 30s on a run
Had mine for over a year and has never gone below 27 with a heavy foot. Mine is manual and standard and the clutch is a pile of rubbish.
You can now get the Leon ST Cupra R plus with AWD and 360bhp stock. For 35k. Looks
far better than a golf R. The Leon's have the best lights in the game atm.
Which I think is a really good deal considering my 19 model (Nov 2018) ST FR 190 7DSG 2L tsi is 27k rrp.

OG can you please feature more cars with naturally aspirated engines, all turbocharged cars sound identical these days due to the same pops and bangs exhaust, no decent engine sound hence everybody get the loud exhaust, I suppose?

its just a dsg mate, some kind of spark cut off or something when they change gear, so it continues to dump fuel into the chamber so when it changes gear more fuel is burned in the exhuast manifold, i think...

This has to be mental, I not long got a 19 model leon ST FR 190 2l tsi 7dsg, with the intention of "tweeking" and that is hardly slow, I'd like 250. you can't half feel the diffence with proper fuel in it. Tesco momentum 99 is very good, and cheap.
I do like the (sc) coupe and the (st) estate, but really dislike the normal 4 door. Mine is the ST FR in bohemian purple. I like it.
Thr launch control on my FR is terrible. All it does is wheels spin. Far better to not use it.
I sold this car brand new to a girl in Lowestoft hahaha 😂😂

From 80kmh roll the Cupra is defiantly faster.
I had a Cupra stage 1 Revo 370bhp an it felt quicker than my Golf R 7.5 stage 1 (380 bhp) an more lively

The Cupra shifts into 6th at around 130 mph. He stayed on it. I'd say 160 wouldn't be far off the mark, to be honest
